Colchester Store - I reluctantly visited the store 18/12/26 after a stressful visit to the same store on 17/12/26 where I ended up leaving without what I needed. However this time I was served by Shauna who went above and beyond to help me and I left having a great customer experience and everything I needed printed in time for christmas. Thank you Shauna you restored my faith in using Max Spielman in the future.

Ordered a personalised desk calendar for a new year present. Just recieved it. It looks great except for the printed bar code on the front picture. Why would you do that. Put it on the back. Its ruined the look of the calendar and made it look cheap. Also what if my friend had wanted to save that picture and put it in a frame. That would not work now. When someone recieves a personalised present it should look perfect when they open it. What a ridiculous and ugly looking thing to put on the front of a present

Max Speilman, ASDA Scunthorpe, I had to apply for a new passport. The place was heaving with people getting photos, purchasing mugs that you can put your own design on and I was there wanting to get my passport application done. The lady present was on her own as one of the other members had booked off sick. She managed to go from one customer to the next helping them at different stages and was very aware of what she was doing and how to do her job!! I was very impressed with her calm nature and how she showed everyone respect under challenging circumstances for herself to deal with. This was at Scunthorpe Asdas Max Spiel man. She deserves a medal for her overall ability. I can’t help but feel a pang of regret for not having her name to share!

I collected a heart photo slate on 19 December which had been printed incorrectly and would not stand on the supplied stand.
I returned to the Piccadilly, Manchester city centre branch to request a reprint and was served by Joe. He was curt, dismissive, and unwilling to help. When I tried to discuss a solution, he raised his voice, gestured to the queue, and dismissed me before serving another customer.
In contrast, his colleague Amber was polite, professional, and helpful - even apologising about his behaviour. Customers in the queue agreed Joe's manner was shocking and hostile and everyone was quietly looking and on edge. Joe’s conduct was unacceptable.

Bought a framed picture online to collect at the Asda Minworth store. Went to pick it up a few days later, staff couldn't find it, not apologetic and dare I say quite combative in their handling of it until they realised the mistake was clearly theirs. Waited for over 10 minutes. Eventually found it in a bag on the floor behind the counter. Definitely a good product but would pick a different branch in future.

We had the worst experience in Max Spielmann Beckton, specifically due to 'Rabia'.
She was very rude to me and my wife. We went in to make a passport photo. I had a small trolley which she asked to put aside, and we did. She still started loudly berating us in front of everyone and even though we were very polite and even stopped talking, she still kept screaming.
This is a very ill mannered behavior and even other people in the store acknowledged that she was extremely rude and loud.
Worst customer service ever.

I went to Max Spielman in Tesco Mereway Northampton and was greeted by the most lovely friendly kind and helpful lady. She was so compassionate to listen to me whilst I was printing some photos from my phone of my best friend's beautiful dog, George. I explained he had sadly passed away on Monday morning 15th Dec 2025. I loved that dog too but mostly I wanted to do something special for my friend who is broken hearted. This beautiful person in the shop helped me and helped me choose a very simple but very apt frame with 2 interlocked hearts. She took the time to put my favourite photo of George in there, something to give my friend as I feel so helpless and didn't know what to do. She told me to pass on her condolences to my friend.
This interaction with this empathetic, kindest lady has restored my faith in humanity and she really made me feel better and quite made my day. She is absolute GOLD. Thank you to her and I wish I had found out her name.

Really disappointed with the printed cushion. £24 and it's not straight and not even close to central. Really rubbish. Would never recommend.

My grandson had a school project involving printing photos from his school iPad.
We went to your store at Asda, the Jewel, Edinburgh.
The task was beyond us because of embedded security issues, but Matt was superb and got the job done for us. He and his colleague could not have been more helpful, so refreshing in this day and age and a great example for my 10 year old grandson.

Photo calendar
Every year I do a photo calendars for me and my daughter and I always need help with them. This year was harder as I am very unwell and find a lot of things much more difficult than I used to. The staff were great - as they always are - and put the calendars together for me. As I can no longer drive and have to rely on family and friends giving me lifts, I asked if it was possible to put them in the post for me. They then offered to deliver them personally as they do not live very far from me. I thought this was above and beyond anything I expected and really appreciated the offer. The young man has just delivered them. What fantastic service!

Ordered 4 large canvas prints and 3 block images from the Ormskirk branch, and the quality is absolutely awful.
The canvas print quality is extremely poor, and a print I bought elsewhere was far superior. All three block images were damaged, badly mounted, and poorly finished.
Very disappointing standards from an established brand. I won’t be using Max Spielman again and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

I’d like to give a big thank you to the Max Spielmann team at Asda The Jewel in Edinburgh. The gentleman on duty at lunchtime on Wednesday went above and beyond to help us print out our boarding passes. He was extremely helpful, polite and courteous throughout, and made the whole process so much easier for us. Fantastic service — truly appreciated!
