Dear Anonymous Customer Service Agent,

Dear Anonymous Customer Service Agent,
Further to your email confirming my complaint, I have returned home to find my insurance cover has ended, if you had bothered to read my email complaint you would be aware why I failed to respond to your numerous letters.

I have found that your company does not utilise email contact with your clients, you do not make easy access via phone or email available and furthermore you set out complaint response deadlines which you fail to meet.

I have obtained cover elsewhere, I will never deal with you again and I'll review my limited investments with LLoyds/Halifax.

Yours faithfully,

STEPHEN BRADSHAW

Home insurance covering bicycles away…

Home insurance covering bicycles away from home.
The policy states that in order to be insured away from home the owner of the bicycle should take ‘reasonable care’ to ensure the item is safe and to be locked ‘to a fixture’ - these are the only two stipulations what it doesn’t say is that it is THEIR INTERPRETATION of reasonable care and what is a fixture.
Mine was stolen out of the awning where it was out of site, locked and disabled but as it wasn’t locked to any ‘fixture’ they wouldn’t agree to the claim although THEY SAID I could have claimed if it was locked to a cycle holder outside the apartments in the next field or if I’d have locked it onto my cycle carrier in full view and that can be unscrewed from my Towbar.
They are legalised scammers as they claim the cycle is insured but from their wording it allows them not to pay. STAY CLEAR!!

Still no confirmation they will send another. 4 hours of that on chat before going to bed , but they were supposed to have confirmation by the morning, but not a peep out of them. Still have not replied t my message this morning.

One star is giving them too much credit.

Waste of time them being there

Horrendous company !

I contacted this Company through Lloyds over 3 months ago for a legal matter, I was told on the 30th of September, almost 3 months after I first contacted the insurance Company , by their useless solicitor that they cannot take my case!, unless I pay them ! I have not in this 3 months had one bit of legal advice, the solicitor rarely answered my emails, and never took my calls. In the end I was told to fill the Tribunal form in myself with a few days to the deadline, I am not qualified to deal with legal matters, hence why I pay for legal cover in case this kind of situation occurred. After contacting Mbna and getting transferred at least six times, and no one prepared to help, I made a complaint to Mbna , this was 10 days ago! they sent an email acknowledging my complaint , I have not heard anything since. This legal cover insurance is a waste of money. Mbna are a terrible company to deal with,
and I cannot believe Lloyds are referring their
customers!
Do not use unless you wish to be treated with contempt and ignored! There is zero customer service!

Stuck in an Endless Doom Loop

I cancelled and paid off my MBNA credit card in August 2026, as an interest free period it had offered had come to an end, and also because logging into my account online was a complicated and unreliable process compared with my main credit card account.

Since then, despite several lengthy phone calls to MBNA, I am still receiving emails asking me to log into my credit card account. This is where the 'fun' really starts. Firstly, I receive a message asking me to change my password and memorable information. Every time I try to do this, there is a message saying that there has been a 'technical issue'. When I try phoning them (after first getting through their bot 'goalkeeper') and going through a lengthy process to verify my identity, the advisor says that a text will be sent to our mobile number and I need to key in the given code. Normally, the screen does not allow me to type in the code given, but this morning they didn't even send the text with the code! Not only that, but when the advisor tried to transfer me to another department I was kept waiting for over 30 minutes and I eventually gave up. All I want from MBNA is final confirmation that my credit card account is closed, and that I won't receive any further messages about it - you wouldn't think it would be THAT difficult, would you?

Useless

I trust Martin Lewis when he tells us that the credit card company will provide buyer protection.
Not MBNA!
Utterly useless. I’m going to cut up my card. Poor, rude, unprofessional, unhelpful staff.
If there was an award for the worst credit card company they would win. Congratulations!!

Terrible company!

Terrible company! Advertised the credit card for 0% interest for first 12 months but charged me interest from 2 months later and claimed their terms and condition is first 60 days 0% interest purchase only. What a misleading advertisement on the credit card. They should be stated on the advertisement in the first place. That’s what we called plain English. Now, raised a complaint and need to wait for 8 weeks to respond. Never use this company for anything again!

My goodness, so bad

My goodness, hard to imagine worse customer service exists. I raised a payment dispute for goods not received, then the goods were finally delivered so I contacted MBNA to cancel the dispute. Was told it was cancelled, happy days

I then get a text message 2 weeks later about the dispute, it was still open. I contact their incompetent support team via the app, they give me the (wrong) phone number to call. Half an hour, they answer and say it’s the wrong team, they transfer me to someone else who says they are also the wrong team, say they’re putting me on hold then transfer me to another queue. 20 minutes later I’ve given up

What i find funny is im calling to do them a favour…. Ill just let them waste their time on a dispute that doesnt exist instead. Joke of a company.

MBNA buildings and contents insurance AVOID !…

MBNA buildings and contents insurance paid for 4 years with additional emergency cover charged at £5 per month that I didn’t request. Last week a pipe burst in my home called emergency cover for MBNA guess what ? We don’t cover that call your main insurance On Monday. Monday oh we don’t cover that we do cover the repair but there’s a £750 excess so do you still wish to claim ? 5 phone calls later atrocious customer service. Cancelled policy and sort cover elsewhere ! Complaints department called me as a direct result of this review they spoke twice in a day stated they upheld a proportion of my complaint and offered a total paltry of £50. The offer is insulting I spent 5 hours on the phone with MBNA trying to sort my insurance ! I was left to deal with the emergency water leak, find suitable plumbers, get the repairs sorted without the help and assistance of Insurance via MBNA. Atrocious - avoid ! MBNA are all about taking in the premium not about indemnifying their customers.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Trying to log in to pay my loan off early. Told I need an activation code that was never sent to me and I have to get a new one BY POST. Means they are gaining interest off me as we speak while I sit around waiting for this activation code. Why do I need an activation code by post? What is the point in the password and memorable date. Ridiculous.

"We are extremely busy"

So suddenly they wanted to change my password and I got a reference number. Security askes recent transactions on the card. Bit hard to say as I cannot see them because you wanted new online password.

I would recommended Chase or Virgin instead
