Fantastic meat, brilliant service !

Really had a thoroughly good experience, notifications and updates were great too. I ventured trying a beef brisket along with several sirloins and was far from disapppointed, the meat was out of this world; highly recommend and will definately be using again in the future.

2 PROBLEMS

2 PROBLEMS: I ORDERED 2 FILLETS FOR DELIVERY 4 DAYS HENCE. DHL CONFIRMED ACCEPTANCE FOR NEXT DAY DELIVERY AS REQUESTED. DHL DELAYED DELIVERY TO NEXT WORKING DAY WHICH HAS NEVER ARRIVED!
TRYING TO CONTACT MEAT AND CO IMPOSSIBLE EVEN THEIR URGENT SERVICE, OR REPLYING TO EMAILS.

Ordered one of the Man vs Steak and it…

Ordered one of the Man vs Steak and it was the toughest lump of meat I’ve ever eaten truly inedible. Ended up in the bin.

Tried to contact Meat & Co left a Voice mail with contact details and no one got back to me hence me writing this.

I will Add that the Fillet loin and the Cowboy steak were exceptional. Just a shame the don’t return calls.

Missed 5kg of chicken from my order

Missed 5kg of chicken from my order, will not send it to me unless I order more to take it above the minimum order value even though this is their fault completely, terrible customer service. My original order totalled £98 and I order roughly the same amount every 2 months, they do not understand how to treat regular customers

Late delivery, no information, defrosted meat

Was due to be delivered Sat 1/7, was delivered 5/6. V little info and had to email 3 times before I got a response to say when I would get the order.

Wanted it for weekend meals. Now delivered midweek, defrosted, so I have to use it quickly at an inconvenient time. You gave me a £20 but not wanting to order from you again.

And your chicken supremes are not as shown in the picture (whole breast on the bone with leg part), they are just boneless breasts with the skin on.

Terrible service

UPDATE: If you do not receive your order and Meat & Co are refusing to refund you, as they did in my case, you can force the refund through if you used PayPal. Meat & Co ignored the majority of my emails, including failing to raise a complaint and subject access request. However when I raised a dispute through PayPal I receive a refund almost immediately. If you have not received your meat and this company is refusing to refund you or send you a new batch, then raise through PayPal to get your money back! I hope this helps others who feel unfairly out of pocket.

Original review:

Terrible service. I made an order and requested a delivery date of 25/05/2024 which was never delivered. DHL missed the delivery and I could not be in for the next day - this is why I selected a Saturday delivery date instead of a Sunday. I tried to reschedule the delivery date thinking Meat and Co would send a new batch and use their insurance to charge DHL for the failed delivery, but was instead told it was my fault I never received the meat as I rescheduled the delivery. The advisor admitted there had been a delay, but that their 'commitment was fulfilled' because they sent the meat. It's not their fault it never got to me on the scheduled delivery date. It's then my fault I wasn't in the next day to collect it (I had a pre-booked engagement I was away for so was never going to be in for a delayed delivery). I asked my complaint be raised to a supervisor, only to be told they would just tell me the same thing. I once again requested my complaint be raised and have since been ignored.

Meat and Co will not offer a refund, as they see their commitment as being fulfilled. They will not respond to my emails to raise a complaint. They have left myself and a friend massively out of pocket for the month and no one wants to address my complaint.

I imagine if they do respond to this review, they will likely find a way to undermine the complaint by placing blame on myself again, ignoring the fact that had the delivery have been made on the date I requested, I would have received the meat and not be £120 down for the month.

It is nearly two weeks since I made my order, and I still have not received it, not that the meat will be any good at this stage. DHL will not be aware of what was inside the box, so there is no reason for them not to have delivered to me.

Meat and Co, please respond to my complaint. I provided you with my contact details on my prior trust pilot as you requested but no one has made any attempts to get in contact, or respond to my emails.

Future customers, please read the 1 star reviews so you can make an informed decision on choosing this company. The 5 star reviews show it is fine if all goes well and the delivery isn't missed, but if you have any issues your complaint wont be resolved and you will be left out of pocket. They will not replace your order or offer you a refund, you will just lose out.

The meat was warm and defrosted

The meat was warm and defrosted. I emailed and have heard nothing back. Very poor service.
It is now a week since I emailed the company and I still have not had a reply. £60 meat thrown in the bin at Meat and Co's request but they still fail to respond.
