Since Jan 24 we have been locked out of…

Since Jan 24 we have been locked out of our accounts, they never sent us the email with our login codes, tried to phone ME to get sorted but could not get through, waited 2 HOURS yesterday only for the fool to say he couldn't give us our login codes, asked to speak to supervisor told NO, WTF?? Looks like most customers might need to think about changing to another more reliable bank. Thank god we have some cash on hand otherwise we would be royally stuffed. Can't pay bills, can't access account to activate cards, what the hell does this bank think we should do???

Had my home loan with ME for 8 years

Had my home loan with ME for 8 years, since the app change service has been poor, called and waited for over 1 hour to get told they can’t help me but will transfer you to someone who can but you will have a additional 40min plus wait. There going down the tube time to look around for a new bank

MEGo is a disaster

MEGo is a disaster. Locked out of accounts *again*. Last transition was a mess and I have moved all accounts except the mortgage - and I don' t really want the costs of a re-finance. But now locked out again on this transition. It was such a balls-up last timr not sure why they continue with this terrible piece of useless software. Like others, even months after the initial transition last time they could not fix the problem. You are just permanently locked out. Forever.

I have been reading these reviews whilst on hold with ME. I have to agree ME was once a good bank. I can't say this anymore. Their decision to scrap the credit card and transfer from ME Buck to Me Go has been horendous. Initial date was delayed, uncertainty then closed it. Canceled all accounts. I still have a balance on the old canceled account. I can't access to find how much balance is. I am on hold and wait time has not shortenned. The regulator needs to intervene. Also reading whilst waiting, that in 2018 that in ME Bank was criminally convicted for misleading representations with a $820,000 fine. As a customer I was not aware of this.

Shitty Mobile App, No Customer Service at all.

Had absolutely no problems with ME Bank prior to the migration to ME Go, I've had nothing but issues since. I've been totally locked out of my internet banking for the better part of two years despite several phonecalls to customer support, which forces me to do all my banking through their terrible ME Go app. It lacks a lot of functionality and makes exporting my statements to my PC ridiculously difficult.

The customer service is abysmal. I have never called up me go and not got the "Please note that wait times are significant" message. On the best of days its a several hour wait, on the worst they just forcefully hang you up. You have to sit through about 5 minutes of preamble before you even get on the queue as ME goes through the FAQ's in an attempt to get you to hang up before you join the queue. This isn't even mentioning the terrible AI generated voices the support wizard uses that are grating to listen to and at times almost illegible.

Based on the online reviews since the 2021 BOQ takeover Members Equity Bank has become Members Evacuating Bank

I wish I could give 0.

Hours and hours of wait to speak to someone and still no benefit.

They keep moving you from one department to another.

I have spent 8 hours so far and they haven't solved most basic problem of banking I have .

I am moving bank. They can't be this disrespectful for people's time.

Customer service is rubbish

Customer service is rubbish - they have started something called ME Go - now I find I can’t download transactions to CSV files to analyse and check off transactions in my own Excel system. Trying to contact them by phone is a waste of time and there are no other contact options. Moving to another bank after having been a customer for about 20 years.

Their customer service is so poor. I have been on hold for two. Imagine a bank that can't even handle your simple queries. I will say, go to the Big 4; at least they provide better service.

Offshore dictatorship

MeBank has become an offshore dictatorship!
Locked out of my accounts and cards cancelled for 6 days with NO ATM or Eftpos for 6 days. No explanation or assistance from Mebank.
Call centre is in Manilla(Philippines). Massive call wait times. Impossible to talk to someone in Aust about any banking issues so the Bank is basically operating offshore BUT claiming to be Aussie.
Constant changes that costs us money without any customer consultation.
Mebank Executives are behaving no different to Dictator Dan.
Patronising voice messages and questions from a robot does not help.
My money has been moved to another bank. In process of moving mortgage to another bank and then close all accounts. Worse bank I have ever dealt with.

ME was a good bank for many years. NOT NOW!!!

ME was a good bank for many years. Now it is appalling. Since BOQ takeover it is a disaster. The old ME bank has been trashed. Got a question or problem? Try the phone lines if you've a couple of days to wait on line. They are flogging the ghastly, complicated, hard to use GO App every step of the way.
PS. Since writing the above part of my review I have been reading the other reviews regarding ME Bank and am even more horrified by other people's experiences with the BOQ version of ME Bank.

Why isn't the Banking Ombudsman investigating this trashed version of ME Bank? Is BOQ a reputable bank? Should this takeover have been allowed?
Many questions, few answers.

ME bank has the worst customer service…

ME bank has the worst customer service since being taken over by Queenland bank. I have been trying to make changes to my term deposits for days without success. I am not going to sit on a phone for 2 hours to GIVE THEM MONEY! They leave me no choice but to seek another bank

Not impressed at all with this bank

Not impressed at all with this bank. We had a ME Buck account. We had zero fees for ATM withdrawals. Then they decided to transition our accounts to the MEGO. With out asking us, then started charging us 2% ATM withdrawal fees. I will be moving our accounts back to the NAB. This is what happens when banks become more money motivated than customer motivated

I would give less than one star if I…

I would give less than one star if I could. ME was once a great bank to deal with while it was owned by a number of Industry Super funds. Since it was sold the new ownership have been a complete disaster - no longer do personal loans - more recently stopped doing credit cards by simply announcing to all their customers their account would be closed - and now migrating their debit cards from Mastercard to Visa I believe. For Me, this meant that I had to go through all of my auto debits associated with my Credit cars and transfer the debit to my savings account, only to be told a month later that I have to do it again.... they are a joke. 10 days to clear a cheque, 3 days to clear an electronic transfer .... seriously???

Extremely poor customer service

I have been trying to contact ME Bank for the past three days and, on multiple occasions, have been left waiting on hold for nearly two hours without any success. Despite the extended wait times, I was unable to speak to a representative or receive any meaningful assistance.

This level of customer service is extremely disappointing and shows a lack of respect for customers’ time and experience. Reliable communication and timely support are basic expectations from a financial institution, and unfortunately, ME Bank has failed to meet them.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend ME Bank to anyone looking for responsive and customer-focused banking services.

Was advised my wait time was 35…

Was advised my wait time was 35 minutes, 15 minutes ago. For the past 10 minutes it has been 30 minutes and not moving. It is still 9am. Their website has been down for the past 2 days and the change over to Me GO has been extremely confusing.

My bank account has been blocked 3…

My bank account has been blocked 3 times in the last year! Two times I was overseas and it’s extremely difficult to contact their customer service. I had to use my data roaming to call their international line since their website was down, no way possible to email or do the live chat on their website. It’s like they don’t want to be contacted.

I waited over 50 minutes just to speak with someone who took ages to unblock my account. Very bad customer service and support.

This bank used to be good but no more

This bank used to be good. Customer service is now appalling. They changed my mortgage from interest only to interest and principal without any reason on renewal, which made my financial position difficult. To contact them you ALWAYS sustain an hour's wait on the phone whilst listening to their apologies; their complaints officers are condescending, they promise to call you and then they don't. I have had to move things to AFCA to get them to act. Best to find another financial institution.

Just not up to standard…

ME Bank started as a good enough idea set up by union super funds as an alternate to the big banks but they have basically given up. I believe the funds gave up and sold to Bank of Queensland at some point and its all been downhill since then, Some of the issues - woefully long waits for customer assistance, a live chat that is never on . no access to branches for cash out and a really clunky berfication process. Driven me back to thebig banks, which is not something I wanted to do,.
