Order a washing machine and on the website they advertised delivery within 7 days. It's been almost 3 weeks and I haven't received the machine. I have contacted customer service several times and nothing helped. I had to ask to cancel my order.
They falsely advertised the availability of the machine and delivery time.

Mediamarkt went the last years from a company that went from my favorite where you could get everything because they had it, to a company that has nothing new in stock or.... and that is my main complaint to a company that promises delivery either to your home or their shop on a certain date.
This has failed 5 orders in a row now. With no info at all and after calling customer services no solution or extra at all I have to conclude I am not going to use Mediamarkt again.

I don’t know whether it is me or your customer service person was having a bad day. This is the second time your customer service person at media market, fredrischshain, East Side mall branch has treated me so rudely. I’m on a fellowship in Berlin and decided to buy a phone. The man was shouting at me as if I meant nothing to him. I thought maybe he’s having a bad day but today I wanted to buy a laptop and I was showing him the specs on my phone and he shouted “WHY CANT YOU SPEAK?” I’ve never felt humiliated like this by somebody I was going to purchase an item worth over a 1000 euros from. I’m lost for words.

Orders get cancelled for no reason immediately after being placed and MediaMarkt then drags its feet when it comes to refunding over 500€.. This is on top of just generally higher prices than anywhere else + being bothered by internet providers in the store.

Placed order for store pick-up, paid by debit card, payment deducted from bank-account. Order confirmation and cancellation at the same moment without clear reason. Extremely unfriendly customer service help with bad German which disconnected the call within 30 seconds because he couldn't say anything.

Defective “new” laptop with password – refund refused because I threw away the box.
I bought a new laptop at MediaMarkt Bonn on 26.09.2025. When I turned it on at home, there was a password already set and Windows didn’t start properly.
I went back the next day to request a refund or replacement, but the store refused, saying “No refund or exchange without the original box.”
This is unacceptable and illegal. Under German law (§§ 437, 439, 477 BGB), such a defect (Sachmangel) obliges the seller to refund or replace the product. The original packaging is not required for defective goods.
Instead of helping, staff treated me like I caused the problem myself.
Very disappointing and unprofessional service.
I do not recommend this store.

Ich habe am 26.09.2025 in der Filiale MediaMarkt Bonn einen neuen Laptop gekauft.
Schon beim ersten Start war ein Passwort vorhanden und Windows fehlte – also von Anfang an defekt.
Am nächsten Tag wollte ich das Gerät umtauschen oder zurückgeben. Die Filiale verweigerte das, mit der Begründung: „Ohne Originalverpackung kein Umtausch.“
Das ist rechtswidrig (§§ 437, 439, 477 BGB) – bei einem Sachmangel muss der Händler austauschen oder erstatten, die Verpackung ist keine Voraussetzung.
Sehr enttäuschender und unprofessioneller Service. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Be carefull, they are working as a market place provider but taking no responsibility over the suppliers failures. They sold me a defect laptop but they are accusing me that i broke the laptop. I bought the laptop at 18 June of 2025 with order number 264167084. Last 1,5 months dealing with them to repair the laptop which is already painfull not able to use my newly bought product. I am just tired with your endless and useless discussions. They are working as a scammer, I just throw to the garbage over 350 EUR by buying a defect product. Danke Mediamarkt, weiter so!
Edit: I noticed that I have already written a similiar review at 15th of July 2025. Maybe you wonder what happened afterwards? -NOTHING :) They just ask some details to show off here that they stand with their products. Good strategy but useless and nonsense!

I ordered online on Friday with a pickup in the store. The status of the product was „available in store“ and I was supposed to be able to pick it up next day at 10:30. However, around 10 I received an email that the store needs more time for processing my order. I walked by to clarify how long and if I could pick up the product since it is available in the store. The guy working there confirmed that they have five items of my product available, but I cannot get them, as THE ones that I ordered were just delivered and need to be unpacked and processed. I asked if I could get the ones that they have available in the store (I ordered a couple of common external hard-drives), and he said no. Only if I cancel the order and buy the ones available in the store. But since I paid with PayPal installments, I couldn‘t do that.
To be absolutely clear, they had exactly the same product available (same model etc).
So I had to leave empty-handed despite five of the items I wanted available in the store 😅 It is a bit idiotic. I needed to do some work over the weekend and it posed me inconveniences.
UDATE: one week later, my order still was not delivered. No reply when I asked about the status update. Changing from two stars to one.
