We have been using BILL.com and were lured to Melio's $80/month plan because it promised the Approval workflow features we had on BILL.fom at 1/3 the price.
After four days we can see that Melio has a virtually unusable approval workflow and slow support. We are still under the trial month and we have spent a few days trying to test but tickets to unanswered for days so we can't get help to make sure we are getting the most out of it.
Their live chat support did not know the platform and so opened a ticket. And after hour tickets never get answered.
I think if you are a very small company and don't need approval workflow, Melio may be a good option. But their approval features are unusable. And their contextual help and articles have too many holes to be of any use for anything but the most basic questions.
After seeing Melio's reply to my initial review above, you can see the problem: A canned reply of hearing my concern. But no serious attempt to understand or address it. I've worked with much larger SaaS providers who take feedback seriously and try to retain customers.

I had a situation where I received the wrong routing or account number and the transfer was processed but, not deposited. I took care of the payment myself. I contacted Melio and explained the situation to them. They explained to me what my options were and helped me to carry them out. It was quick and easy.

If you're running a real business, steer clear of Melio. I set up an account, linked my bank account, integrated to Xero.com, followed all the procedures, and made a payment (with a confirmation of it being processed!). A few hours late they suspended my account because their system "could not verify" information on my company and the payment to not be made. Even worse, I forwarded the payment confirmation to the recipient, only for the payment to never arrive. Talk about a bad look.
The process to resolve this is to email a specific address, which I did three times over the course of a month. I requested next steps and proactively sent our EIN, W-9, and company website details to prove our legitimacy, all without being prompted. Why did I have to go to these lengths? Because Melio has no customer support. I received zero responses from their support or compliance teams in the last month. Good luck trying to call them.
The lack of basic communication is unacceptable from any company. From one that handles financial transactions and has access to my bank account? This is offensively bad. They clearly don't take customer service seriously. Do you really want to trust them with your bank account and payments?
See their unhelpful response below. They make no attempt to resolve any issues. Even more frustrating, they still have access to my bank account and I have no ability to remove it.

Can't create a account. Can't reset a pw if an account exists. Can't login to their website with or without Intuit id as they want me to sign in with Intuit. Zoom meetings with their does not connect ever. Besides they work eastern hours only.
