I purchased a two-year high-speed home…

I purchased a two-year high-speed home internet subscription along with two mobile phone subscriptions from Melita. I never used one of the mobile phone SIM-cards since I received a work phone and accordingly asked Melita to cancel that service. Despite remaining a customer of home internet and one other mobile phone subscription Melita chose to impose a EUR150 penalty fee. I strongly recommend looking for a more customer-friendly service provider.

Really bad experience!!!

Really bad experience, Latency extremely high 628ms and 192ping and when i contact them they were trying to upsell some modem...thought I contact the Marketing department, not the technical one... the modem is a 4 years Cisco version(is Melita that owns it not me) and works just fine till Christmas and all of a sudden i had to upgrade it against a 2€ extra fee per month, so basically i have to upgrade, on my expenses, their own equipment...very obvious that they are not technical that's for sure...

BAD PRACTICES FOR TERMINATING CONTRACT

Very bad practices for closing the account! I've been trying to close my Melita Account for more than 3 months. I've been contacting several times but they make it impossible. I don't have permanency with the contract, I am a customer for more than 2 years and they don't let me to close the account, they just don't contact and say that they can't do anything.

MONTHS KEEP PASSING AND WE KEEP PAYING!

Not the best, but getting better?

I have had my fair share of bad experiences with Melita. They still have quite a bit to learn from their peers in other countries, however, their new live chat tool and TSN service both pull up the overall impression. Looks like the company is trying to improve, and for that I commend them.

KEEP ALL RECORDS AS THEY TEND TO CHEAT…

KEEP ALL RECORDS AS THEY TEND TO CHEAT ON CUSTOMERS WHO CANNOT PROVE WHAT MELITA CLAIMS FOR!

I live in Malta since 2012 and my first contract Home Internet contract was with Melita.
Then I changed flat after a year and transfer the line (On terms and conditions first transfer was for free).
After a month I received a bill with a 60 euro charge for my transfer.
I went to complain at the shop and they removed the charge.

At the end of 2 years contract in 2014, I passed to GO MOBILE and Melita technician came to disconnect the service and take back the equipment (modem, etc....). I paid nothing.

In 2017, I received a letter saying that my old account (the first from 2012) was still active and I had a pending bill of over euro 250!

I WAS LUCKY I STILL HAD THE REPORT SIGNED BY THE MELITA TECHNICIAN AND I SCANNED IT BACK.
THEY IMMEDIATE APOLOGISE AND CANCEL THE PENDING BILL.

If you stopped using Melita services, keep all records and receipts as you might need to prove that you are the honest one after many years.
Melita account department and even customer care are not trained well and they charge their mistakes on the clients!

SHAME ON THIS MELITA COMPANY!

I bought a Sim card on holiday

I bought a Sim card from Melita while on holiday.

The information regarding the charges per minute and data that came with the card was inconsistent across the website, app & SMS messaging so I had no idea how much I was paying

The first time I rang Melita for support I got the "press 2 for Engish" which then went to Maltese. I then tried the Maltese which resulted in diversion to another message

When it came to recharging the phone I ordered the 10 euro package and was charged 20 euros. I Tried to resolve via online chat and was eventually told someone would call back but no-one every did.

If you don't have wi-fi where you are staying the 10 (or 20GB?) of free wifi across all Malta is great, otherwise stay away.

One of the worst companies around.

Predatory opportunists. I've been with this company since the days of 'video-online'. It used to be a company you could rely on, now if you have a problem it's completely weighted in their favour. Exactly what you expect from these type of corporate entities. Disgusting, painful, frustrating.
