Very annoyed by misselling from…

Very annoyed by misselling from Meraboiler at multiple points. Meraboiler shared a competitive quote for boiler installation and I agreed to go for the installation with finance option. Their salesperson said if I could put the finance application in, they could get the installation done very quickly within a week. So I applied, got approved, paid a £600 deposit and then funny things started happening. First no one contacted me back confirming next steps. When I chased them, I was told their Manager was on leave hence they can't do anything. Next day I called and I was told Manager is in but not at her desk. Finally was called back and was told that the installation can only happen after two weeks. I reminded them of their promises but memory is very short for such firms. Finally, I asked my deposit to be returned and I was told it would take upto 15 days to be processed. Very annoying and frustrating experience with meraboiler. These guys do a lot of tv and radio ads but run a poorly staffed and immature firm. AVOID at all costs. I hope I get my money back.

Just as an update today is 2nd Sep and I still haven't received my money back. None of the payment transfer methods BACS/CHAPS takes so long, not even a cheque payment. Don't know which world they live in

So just received a message where Meraboiler asked me to update my review and they pointed to certain points mentioned in my review as incorrect. I disagree but equally want to provide an update. The £600 pound deposit was finally refunded on the 14th day (from day they cancelled my application) at 2 PM after repeated pleading to them.

As per our various conversations, there were two weeks of delay from you and then the finance application took a little while as they wanted further information from you and in that time our rota got booked. Still, we assured you that we will do the work on the timeline, but you demanded a refund. The refund process takes 7-14 days and the full amount will be reimbursed. In our conversation, there hasn't been a mis-selling as this is not fair to use this term on our staff members where they have constantly chased you for this order from 02/08/2021 till 18/08/2021. Excellent installation but online form does not work

Boiler installation team were brilliant. Was told they would arrive between 10 to 11am. Three people were on-site at 10am and quickly started work. A few hours later a further two people came to help and so we had 5 people on-site working on my boiler installation. They left at around 4pm. If there were less people then the installation would have taken longer. Really nice they sent 5 people to complete the job in only 6 hours :). The pipe welding was done very well and very neatly. Some people have said in the reviews below that the welding is poor but in my experience, it was very professionally done.

The price quoted was reasonable. £1980 for a Vaillant Ecofit pure 830. A slightly better 30kW Vaillant was cheaper on Warmzilla but I decided to give Meraboiler a chance and because they gave the option to pay £1000 before install and the remaining £980 immediately after installation.

Installation was carried out on 12th June. The gas safety inspection was carried out almost 3 weeks later on 1st July. The gas safety certificate was issued only today (13th July) and so more than a month since installation. I live in Oxford and this may be the reason for the delay. But the delay did not bother me since all I wanted was the boiler install.

I would give 5 stars for the boiler installation team. But sadly, I have to drop my review to only 4 stars since I had a problem with getting a quotation from their website. I told Meraboiler about this and so they are aware of the problems I faced. I filled in their online form on 3rd June (on my mobile) but there was no reply. I sent a whatsapp the next day and was told that they never received my quote! I filled in the form again on 4th June (on my PC) and asked by whatsapp to confirm if they received my form. There was no reply so I called Meraboiler on 5th June and they said that they had not received my form. I filled in the form again on my phone while I was on the phone to Meraboiler. Again they did not receive my form! The agent then filled in the form and it worked (!). Clearly there is a problem with their website and Meraboiler must be losing business if customers do fill in their form but nothing comes through. The problem could be due to the browser – I used Google Chrome for the three times I filled in the form (for both mobile and PC). My Google Chrome account has autofill set up which may be the reason why Meraboiler did not receive my form (even though I received a message each time from Meraboiler to say that the form was successfully sent). Google Chrome and autofill of forms works for all other websites which shows that there is a problem with Meraboiler’s website. I would recommend that customers call Meraboiler to get a quote rather than filling in the online form since it just does not work. I wanted the install in the weekend and according to Meraboiler, I could have got the installation done a week earlier (on 5th June) if they had received my initial form on 3rd June - its sad that I had a delay in installation due to problems with their website. The agents on the phone are brilliant and very helpful.

I have called them many times and also have written emails. I was never abusive to these guys though I called them an unprofessional and shameless bunch of people and I stand by that. Meraboiler engineer removed the exhaust vent while doing boiler installation and never bothered to put that back. Who should have put the exhaust vent back?

About the water pressure problem, I had a combi store boiler and you guys installed a combi boiler and never explained to me that this will cause water pressure issues. I have an email trail with the company which they never bothered to reply back along with the evidence of the exhaust vent which was never fixed and the company has lied blatantly in the review reply.

Regarding resolution, I will see what can be done. Meanwhile, I have made a formal complaint with the company.

Just say 'thank you' for the new boiler installation. The installation team is Fantastic and very happy with the work carried and he was very knowledgeable and professional with the work done with dust sheet laid out. Very happy with staff as well and provide good services and very polite and professionally at last, the date and time that was agreed we payed the price that was quoted and not a penny more on completion.

Unprofessional, rude, uneducated on the service they're trying to sell.

Unprofessional, rude, condescending staff, inconsiderate, no people or social skills from any staff member we spoke with. No consideration for tenants personal areas or items within their home either. Disgusting attitude from office staff. Office staff are definitely in desperate need of training on speaking to the public and using a telephone.
2 out of the four men were very helpful and easy to cooperate with.
Update: manager was very helpful and happy to help to resolve the situation. Manager was apologetic on behalf of those who acted unprofessionally.

Excellent service

Excellent service, very helpful. Raman and raja came to fit our boiler, they explained everything in full detail as well as helped to remove dirt from radiators, I would highly recommend people to use their services.

Meraboiler -charge for work not done and not trustworthy in my experience

I am sharing my experiences so others who may want to use this company can make an informed decision.

I had a new boiler installed on Dec 20 and by April 21 the boiler had stopped working. We were without heating with temperatures below 5 degrees for days chasing Meraboiler and have repeatedly been told they are consulting a technical department, rather than coming and fixing the problem. Valliant engineer came out and told that there was a block in the system. I have been chasing Meraboiler and each time a date was given no one turned up. There was always a reason.

. It was incorrectly communicated

I was then advised that I will have to pay another £350 so they can do some imaging to find block. Despite the fact that the contract was for Meraboiler to provide all servicing for one year and only charge me for any parts. The last straw was when they then started accusing that they were coming in on a Saturday and doing a favour. The fact that my elderly parents and young children were freezing despite having paid for a new boiler did not count.

I finally just paid DSM plumbers to come out and fix the system. They showed me that the system was clogged in because the flushing had not been done. I took pictures. They spend 5 hours on the weekend and fixed it fox me. I will now have to pay out to another company to come and do the power flush that Meraboiler have changed me for in the installation and had not done.

I will ofcourse be appointing another set of plumbers to care for my system and a third set to flush the system again that I was charged for and not done by Meraboiler.

You have to make your decision on who you appoint to install your heating and boiler but hopefully my experience helps make make the right decision for you . I am not interested Meraboiler’s response since I am beyond any relationship with this company or trust but wanted people to have objective information to make their decisions

However, the installation was carried out as per the contract and your boiler had no issues since the installation. If you refer to the T&C’s that accompany the contract points 12 and 13a will clarify regarding your issue, in certain circumstances the issue is classed as additional work. My team has tried everything to resolve your problem at no extra cost without success as your issue is an existing problem and has nothing to do with our installation which even the manufacturer Vaillant have also informed you about it. We offered to do the Thermal Imaging to pinpoint the blockage, but you chose to take your business elsewhere. We always work hard and are always willing to meet up with our customers’ expectations. Quick repair service

We installed a new combi boiler from Meraboiler.com in December 2020. On 27th March 2021, one of the plastic pipe (touching an adjacent copper pipe) melted and started leaking. Water was coming all the way to floor damaging floor boards (behind washing machine). As soon as we noticed this, I called on emergency number on website and within 15 mins they assigned a plumber with all tools. Amazingly they had a photo of my boiler pipework from initial installation so it was very easy for them to understand the issue and location of it. The plumber knocked my door after an hour. He came with all needed tools to fix the issue. He changed the melted and leaking pipe and bypassed it in a way that it doesn't touch any hot copper pipes. He took a picture of it and sent it to meraboiler.com so that the company has a picture of my new pipework. Such a smooth service. Thank you.

4 Stars which could have been all 5. Satisfied with the Boiler and the service.

-Edit: 10th March 2021: Gurpreet called to apologised and assured to resolve the matter by 12th March 2021 and indeed he did. It’s a shame it took so long and owner had to be involved but he has assured he is working to resolve support issues and improve things. Kam who is a manager also followed up.

-Edit: 09 March, 5 PM, one of the customers dis-services reps informed me after this review they will not take any action for next 128 Days unless I retract my review. You can imagine how this company operates. Instead of an apology and fixing the issue, this what you will get after paying £3600.

Promised to fix the Boiler and 3 x TRVs my quote number : 800005207, customer number 5207, dated 26/12/2017, and since then haven’t fit TRVs on any radiator. I am writing this review in March 2021. Chased them several times and they promise to call back and never call back.
Lied about warranty saying they will provide it but that’s provided by the manufacturer. Avoid this company.

Further after this review, someone pretending to be Steve from 020 8150 2025, called to say we are not going to install your TRV.

Mera.boiler team was professional and…

Mera.boiler team was professional and despite being an emergency mid evening... They responded to the call and attended the scene and evaluated the situation.

Had a small hiccup with the new boiler causing frostiness in the house for 24 hours extra but the team was superb and delivered.

MeraBoiler - Great Service

I have used Mera Boiler for the first time and the experience was simply amazing. The workmanship of the boiler engineers Malkeet & Manpreet was great. The job from start to finish was smooth. Survey done by Junior and then Kam & Lisa helping with the admin and the engineers installing the boiler and the tank was commendable and with high standards. Gurpreet the director giving advise and inputs on technical details of the tank and Lisa following up at the end of each day about the work was very good service.

Amazing company! Highly recommended!!

I used Mera Boiler for the first time and the experience was amazing. The workmanship is 10 out of 10 and they provided me with excellent customer service. I am admittablely a fussy customer and Steve and the team adhered and accommodated all of our requests. The job was done to a high standard with high quality products used. It was a smooth experience from start to end - dealing with Amit in the sales team, Steve and the Engineers on the day of installation, to Lisa with the aftercare follow up call.

A new boiler…Ridiculous Horrendous Service!!

The engineers attended to install a new boiler that worked perfectly over 1month ago.
However, they damaged my kitchen sliding door( where they ran a pipe through it, so it doesn't close) that keeps heating in the sitting room, left a very big hole on the floor where the former pump was and never returned.
One of the staff came to the property 1 week later to inspect the good working boiler and agreed that it was a shady job done to its sorroundings and promised to call back within the week.
However, I called them after the week had expired to be told nobody has done anything about my information and that I someone will call me back before 6pm. I called back another week after only to be spoken to in the most rude manner to say there isn't anyone that is dealing with it and I should call back on Monday.
The door damaged was installed to Keep heating in my property not letting it escape etc. And I was spoken to in the most rude manner asking me "well the boiler is working isn't it?" My house is absolutely freezing even though the boiler is on full blast etc. Absolutely appalling staff,very rude and condescending people. They are just after the money and any damage done can wait till forever... I shouldn't keep calling to finish the job. Do not use them if you don't want your property damaged and be spoken to in the most ridiculous manner. Absolutely rubbish service!!
By the way, I am still waiting for the work to be done and also a call back till today!! Ridiculous.

Update: Following the reply just sent by Meraboiler... Just to let you all know that it is an absolute lie because they told my landlord 2weeks ago that they will call me 2weeks ago and NOT EVEN 1,PHONECALL HAS COME THROUGH TO ME.
2. THE landlord has absolutely NO IDEA what they are doing because he still asked if Meraboiler has come to the property since 2weeks ago...
The reply is absolutely BOGUS AND ABSOLUTE LIE. THEY ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING AND DO NOT HAVE ANY COMMUNICATION GOING ON.
BEWARE OF THEM!!! ABSOLUTE LIARS AND USELESS SERVICES!!!

I forwarded your last comment to the landlord and he was shocked that you said "you are working on the landlord's instructions". Can I advise you to stop adding more bogus lies to your narrative because you told him that you will sort it out and that he should tell me to remove my review online which he absolutely refused to do so. He further told you that the reviews will stay here until you sort it out.
Your responses to this review only makes your company bad and not trustworthy.
I still have A great big gaping hole on my floor and a destroyed door. Just to let you know that the Landlord DOESN'T LIVE at my property, I DO!

Excellent Service!

The whole process was very easy - from ordering our new boiler to getting it installed, the staff were very friendly and informative. Raja and Raman did an exceptional job at fitting our new boiler and they were very helpful along the way. Everything was installed with such ease and they ensured they left the house looking as it did before they started the work! They provided such a professional service and were friendly and approachable, we really appreciated how efficiently they carried out their job. Overall amazing service and high quality products - all calls were always answered in a timely manner, high quality customer service!
