Merityre Specialists Ltd is a family run, independent tyre and autoservices specialist. We have been established in the Thames Valley area for over 55 years. We sell and fit car, van and 4x4 tyres, as well as brakes, exhausts, batteries, MOT testing and servicing (MOT and servicing not available at all sites). We also carry out 4 wheel alignment, TPMS checks and air conditioning recharging. We ensure we always go the extra mile for our customers, and we pride ourselves on the service we provide.

Very poor reception at Woking

Paid for a service online with Woking branch. When I arrived they said the service may cost more due to cars age. I responded that my car registration no. had been correctly input so they knew the cars age. Eventually to poor attitude guy on reception agreed to the online quote.
I also heard him tell another customer that he could not print out a quote for some MOT work that needed doing.
And finally I heard him loudly call out a female customers mobile phone number across the counter. This breaks data privacy laws.
The young guy needs some training.

Merityre in Frimley Green are brilliant…

Merityre in Frimley Green are brilliant ,we have been to them on numerous occasions they have always been extremely helpful,efficient and professional.
A few days ago I had a faulty tyre valve,it was fixed within minutes and when I asked how much it would cost ,I was told nothing.Really appreciate their service.

Expensive puncture

Took a loose wheel into the Farnham branch for an obvious puncture, a screw right in the centre tread, was charged £39.60 for the repair which equates to almost 2 thirds of the price of the last tyre I bought from Kwik Fit.When I got home doubled check the invoice which said puncture/rebalance, on inspecting the wheel no new weights had been added and there wasn’t even a yellow crayon mark on the tyre where the valve was so that the tyre could be refitted in the same place .I suppose you could give the benefit of the doubt and say it was still perfectly balanced. If it wasn’t for the fact that my wife was waiting for the car to go to Wales I would have gone back and queried it.
At £39.60 I should have gone back to Kwik Fit who charge under £30.

Friendly, honest no-nonsense approach

Little Chalfont branch
I've been here many times in the past 20+ years, mostly for tyres and mostly good experiences {occasionally exceptional.)
Today was an aircon re-gas. They said they could do it immediately - and they did. Will be ready in an hour - and it was. Biggest surprise was they gave me a discount on the quoted amount. I have no idea why and indeed pointed it out to the manager - "No mistake" he said. Perhaps he thought it would build customer loyalty - he'd be right on that too!

IMPRESSIVE ALL ROUND, TERRIFIC TEAM

On our way for weekend break we hit a pothole or something and one of our tyres failed. Managed to pump up and called nearest tyre people - half an hour before their closing time - Merityre in St Johns and on the phone said if we could get there they would do it - and kindly gave us directions as a mile away and didn't know them.
Managed to get there and explained our situation, my husband has medical issues and we were getting away for a few days before next treatment, and we were devastated by the puncture - thinking we would never get away as 5.30pm and with road closures on our route we thought we would end up going home.
As soon as we were there they put people straight on it and assured us it would be fixed and we could sit in waiting room while they did it. They kept us informed all the time and managed to put new tyre on and checked out another tyre we thought might have been affected but gave us advice on that one and will go back when it is needed.
Could not fault the team - every one of them were helpful, considerate, professional - so so nice to find that in a company. Premises clean and bright. They ensured it was all safe for us to head off and we did make our destination, even getting through before road closures. Now enjoying our few days away, which is all thanks to the team.

Misrepresentation of skills and service

We scheduled an oil service with the Woking branch for a Jeep Wrangler. We needed to leave the vehicle an additional day because they didnt have the correct diagmostics to reset the engine error. On collecting teh car today, teh dealer still couldnt reset the engine message however forced us to pay for a service that we now need to go to another dealer that is more equipped to do the job and pay again for the same thing. If they arent skilled to do the task at hand then dont misrepresent and exploit the public. This is tantamount theft.

Top aircon regas

Called in this morning to the Wallington branch on the off chance to get my car aircon regassed,left it with them,went for a long relaxing breakfast and then got a call in about an hour to come collect the car,all done.now got lovely cold air con and at a good price,£75,thats for the old type gas.

Just left unsure about the Service

Hm.. not sure about these guys for the service. I can imagine them just walking around the car with a hammer and topping up the oil.
After years of going to Audivwsc specialists in Harrow, I decided to give these guys a try because they are a 10 mins drive away. Whenever I left Audi specialists, the car felt solid again, like they actually checked all the nuts and bolts and really checked the car. When I left Merityre, im just left unsure, just feels like they did visual checks without actually getting into car.
One thing, if you’ve got an induction kit with an aftermarket air filter - they wouldn’t do anything to it, whereas the other specialist garage always cleaned it for me.

Great people, great service

I was on my way to Cornwall from Aldershot and my battery wouldn't start the car that morning. With such a long journey I turned up at Merit Tyres in Mitchet and they were fantastic. They even went as far as going to another branch to get the battery I needed as there was not one in stock. I just couldn't fault them. Such helpful people who got me on my way feeling safe.
