Thanks for your review. When using Metfolio you are shown before buying how many grams you get for your money, so we are fully transparent in line with industry standards.
When buying small amounts of physical gold, there will be nominal fees involved. This is because physical gold is inherently premium due to all the costs involved in production, mining etc. However, Metfolio is the cheapest option in the market for the £150 of gold you purchased, and you got free storage and insurance, which otherwise costs a minimum of £20 per month with any other dealer on the market.

App is Very easy to manoeuvre and manage. I had a few queries which were answered straight away. I purchased some gold which came tracked within a few days exactly as it was described. I've been trying to figure out what's going on. I started with a small amount to see how it works, but they weren't showing me the real price. They sold me 40% extra, so I sold mine because I felt like I was being taken advantage of.
Example:- To find the price per gram of gold, divide the total cost by the weight:
\frac{50}{0.553} = 90.42
Real price 72.30
So, 1 gram of gold would cost approximately £90.42 at that rate.

Hi Mati. Thanks for your review. So when you buy gold on Metfolio, you are shown how many grams you are receiving in exchange for your money, so nowhere in the process are we hiding the charges associated with physical gold. Moreover, this is physical gold which you own and can get delivered to your door, which makes it an intrinsically premium product. If you look at a 1 gram bar, it is considerably more expensive, and you have to manage storage yourself which costs an extra £20-30 per month with any safe deposit vault. This means that Metfolio is an overall cheaper solution than buying physical gold anywhere else. The benefit of physical gold is that you own it and can get it delivered, this benefit comes at a premium. If you were expecting to receive gold at the market rate, unfortunately with physical, this is not possible. For this I would recommend Gold Stocks and Paper Gold ETFs. Moreover, our charges are evidently not 40% extra, so spreading misinformation to give your review more emphasis isn't ideal. Makes gold investing dead simple
I was always a bit overwhelmed with investing in gold so never really did it but Metfolio makes it dead easy. I'm now building my portfolio and seeing the balance go up each month is super rewarding. Super trustworthy company, and the customer service is excellent for any questions or help whenever I need. Highly reccomend!!
