Had a visit this week at the Midland Health clinic to see Dr Katy Kyprianou who is a migraine specialist. Staff were helpful and polite from the moment I arrived. Dr Katy Kyprianou is an expect in her field and I highly recommend her. She is compassionate and empathetic and I feel confident that she really understands how I am feeling and that she wants to help me feel better.

Excellent Care and Friendly Staff at Midland Health
I had a great experience at Midland Health (Edgbaston Clinic) on Saturday, 21st June 2025. I was called on Thursday about an extra blood test for my work health assessment, and the team booked me in quickly. All the details were clear, which helped me feel relaxed.
On the day, Marta Rodrigues at reception was very welcoming. Amani Azeam guided me through the payment process smoothly. My healthcare assistant, Mike Tse, was fantastic—he explained everything clearly and kept me comfortable while taking my blood, despite my nerves. The procedure was quick and painless, and I left very pleased.
Highly recommend Midland Health for their caring and professional staff!

Scandalous
Making a GP appointment and the visit was pleasant, even though the DR was behind schedule l didn't feel rushed. Agreed to routine blood test to help identify potential reason for discomfort. Samples were taken same day of visit Wednesday 6th June and was advised results would be issued within 24hrs via email.
Did not receive results following day, called Friday 8th June and was advised results had arrived and that a GP will share these via email. Received a call in the afternoon from the clinic and advised there is a delay with my results and that these would be shared Tuesday 10th June. Advised the caller I wasn't happy, who responded by saying it's not Midland Healths fault by Nationwide laboratories, not what I wanted to hear or expected. The caller spoke in a demeaning manner and l choose not to continue the call.
Call reception afterwards to enquire about the complaints process, reception was helpful and kindly explained some and not all my results were in. Requested if available results could be shared and was advised a GP would do so later that day or Saturday. This did not happen, received some results on Monday 9th June from GP l visited
No results, call or updated from Midland Health on missing test results on Tuesday 10th June. Called again Wednesday 11th June and was advised someone will respond.
Today is Thursday 12th June and still no response (> 9pm)!!!
My primary concern is the accuracy and validity of test given the delay in testing samples; from my online research samples should be tested within 24 hours when refrigerated. I paid 285 for the pleasure plus GP fee's
Midland Health, you can't promote yourselves as alternative to the NHS if you perform like this.
I'm waiting for the outcome of my complaint and hope some common sense from Midland would prevail to resolve this amicably.

Travel Vaccinations
I went for travel clinic appointment with my husband and had a really positive experience. The appointment was thorough, friendly and we were able to ask all the questions we wanted to. It was also reassuring that they had our records from last year so knew what we had already had. Easy booking experience for another set of jabs later this year. Would thoroughly recommend.

First class service for weightloss advice
I'm with Midland health for weight loss injections. What sets it apart from others is you get to see and speak to a weight loss Nurse specialist. My first Appointment was with Jacob Stendall. He was very welcoming and went through everything with me. Consultation was superb and I left feeling very positive. All my subsequent appointments have been with weight lost specialist Nurse Louise Bradshaw who is brilliant Even if I feel I havent done well, she is very enoucouraging and supportive She tracks my progress etc and ask how I am doing.
Last and certainly not least are the lovely reception staff. Cheerful and professional.
I highly recommend Midland Health.

I Had an appointment with dr Tom Dawson…
I Had an appointment with dr Tom Dawson for my sons skin condition and he was very polite and helpful. He did offer to do the skin test I originally went to the appointment for but explained it wouldn’t help me achieve the answers I was looking for. I appreciate the time and help from the clinic which was very polite and lovely staff on reception to, who helped me up the stairs with baby bag. Would deffinately recommend.

Fabulous Peadiatric Appointment
We visited Midland Health last week for some peadiatric blood tests. I had read some of the negative reviews posted previously so was a little hesitant, however from our experience it could not have been any better.
We were greeted on arrival and the appointment was on time, the nurse and phlebotomist explained everything to me and my daughter, they went to every effort to make sure she was comfortable and happy at every stage. We came away being really impressed with the service received. Our results have been sent earlier than expected with clear advice for next steps.
I wouldn't hesitate in using Midland Health again should we need to

Highly recommend Dr Amit Parmar
I recently booked my little one in to see Dr Amit Parmer for a tongue tie division.
After much research I decided Dr Amit was the best doctor around for this and I was not disappointed. Dr was very thorough, listened to my concerns, talked me through the procedure, and executed perfectly. There was no rush, his priority was making sure my little boy was OK.
One thing I do have to include is whilst I was in the reception waiting area, a young gentleman passed out head first. There was one Dr around who I believe her name was Dr Sarah Wright. She was yelling at staff to get HCA's and was very unprofessional. In situations and an environment like that you would have reasons to believe you'd be in safe hands however that wasn't the case. Other professionals came to help soon after and they were calm and handling the situation well as they should. Dr Sarah was trembling at one point and there is just no reason to speak to the staff the way she was no matter what the situation.
Other than that, the clinic itself was clean and again that didn't put me off as Dr Amit with brilliant. Highly recommend this knowledgeable and fantastic doctor!

This review is not in relevance to the staff but more so in regards to the products provided. The doctor who did our consultation was lovely but the results were not helpful and quite generic. The products provided have not helped my family members skin and are in fact causing side effects that were not stated by the doctor. You are better off going to the NHS as both results are the same and waiting time is relatively similar. Not worth the money in my opinion as now we have to resort to something else due to the side effects caused to my family members skin.

On time, comprehensive consultation for the treatment of my intermittent eczema. My regime needed a refresh and Dr Christos Kasparis listened carefully, examined my skin and provided a clear treatment plan. I am already seeing the benefits 5 days later. Thank you.

Best practise in Birmingham
I have been visiting the Birmingham practice and I absolutely love it. The team is professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about their patients. I see Dr. Pav Deshi, and she is truly wonderful. She is always attentive, listens to your concerns, and goes above and beyond to ensure the best care.
The first time I visited her a few years ago, she was incredibly understanding and helpful. On my second visit, when the NHS had sent me to countless places without addressing my issues—even when I couldn’t move my hand—Dr. Deshi stepped in and made all the difference. She quickly identified the problem and directed me to the right specialists. Thanks to her, I now understand why I feel the way I do and, most importantly, I can move my hand again and feel so much better.
I’m incredibly grateful for her dedication and expertise. Highly recommend this practice!

I went to have a hayfever consultation…
I went to have a hayfever consultation with Dr Sarah Wright. I was advised by reception she was running a little late which was fine.
When I was called in she did not introduce herself, very stand offish and appeared not interested and wanting to hurry up.
In the end I decided not to have the injection as too many side effects.
It has put me off coming back if you are treated like this.
I was just brought back to reception, the dr told receptionist I was not having the injection, she gave me a leaflet about another treatment told me she has informed receptionist I’m not having treatment and walked off.
I work in healthcare as a clinician and you don’t treat patients this way! I think Dr Wright needs to learn how to introduce herself, to not appear she is not interested etc etc. As a paying customer I should not feel this way.
