Believe the Bad Reviews

I loved our purifiers at first, but there's a reason for the bad reviews about their customer service, here and on other websites. Their reps are awful! Completely dishonest and unwilling to help with any account issues, and the website magically glitches and makes it nearly impossible to adjust your subscription. I've now paid for three filters I don't need because I wasn't given notice that I was about to be charged, but they refuse to admit an error on their side—even claiming they have proof I opened the email. And you can't return the filters once they've been shipped, apparently? The machines themselves are also not worth the hassle. They're loud at an unpleasant pitch, and they're not 'smart' in any way whatsoever. There are bad reviews all over the place for a reason, don't be fooled.

EDIT: Their reply below is nonsensical and useless, and only public-facing. My biggest issue is the fact they charged me and shipped three filters without any advanced notice, would not allow me to make any changes on the website, and then lied repeatedly despite violating GDPR. Garbage company.

EDIT AGAIN: They’ve updated their response below claiming they always notify customers of upcoming charges. I was absolutely not notified of my latest charge, and I am 100% sure of this. They insist they have proof I was. This is false, as I would have logged in immediately to delay my subscription. Their “Cares Squad” does not care about customers. If they did, they would own their mistake and offer some form of compensation. Instead, they dig their heels in insisting I received an email I was never sent, because this violates GDPR. Now, rather than make it right, they’ve lost a customer—something they’re very good at based on other reviews.

It's definitely not the standard of service we aim to provide, and I appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. And to be clear, we always send a notice 4 days in advance to make any changes.

Regarding the filters, unfortunately, we aren't able to accept returns once they've been shipped. However, I want to make sure we address the noise issue you're experiencing with your Milas. If they're operating at an unpleasant pitch, we definitely need to look into that for you.

Could you please email us at support@milacares.com with a video capturing the noise and any details about when it occurs? This will help us understand the problem better and find a solution for you.

Mila review

Livio was excellent, replied and fixed my problem on a long weekend! Also very happy that they replaced my defective unit out of warranty. Highly recommend this company.

Mila customer service is awesome

Mila customer service is great. They are fast, solution oriented people who do what it takes to fix an issue. My Mila was out of warranty and they replaced it! Thank you for being great people and providing excellent customer service.

Great customer experience

Great customer experience. I'd had my Mila for over a year so it was out of warranty. I reached out because the unit was becoming increasingly loud to the point that visitors would ask where the noise was coming from. I'm guessing it was from a faulty batch. The team handled my request very well and offered me a replacement unit which came the next day with no hassle. Thank you for doing the right thing, my new Mila is perfect and quiet.

Great customer service

We have 4 units, they seem to be working well but are not as quiet as they were when I first received them. App is great, customer service is great and quick. Replacement filters are pricey but live up to their ability to purify the air.

Regarding the noise level, it's common for air purifiers to experience a slight increase in sound over time as the filters collect particles. However, if the change in noise is significant, it might be a good idea to check if the filters need cleaning or replacing to ensure optimal performance. Also, make sure there aren't any obstructions near the air intake and output areas.

We love our Milas

We love our Milas! The air quality in the house is noticeably better. The app is easy to use and keeps you updated on your room status. Additionally, their customer service is great too! They are responsive and very helpful. Highly recommend this company and their product

I've had my Mila for almost 3 years and…

I've had my Mila for almost 3 years and it's been great. The app is easy to use and fun. A few years ago I had an issue with Mila and received a replacement that works great. I also just had an updating problem that I was able to troubleshoot with the customer support over email, which I love because who wants to talk to a person on the phone, and it was super quick and easy. I feel like it's a great product and great customer service.

Love it

Had another air purifier before and isn’t a patch on Mila! So beautifully designed - it’s almost a piece of art or sculpture. Still working perfectly after 3 years of ownership. Great array of filters for different uses and works incredibly well. Reduced sneezes a lot! Great service too!

I am an early adopter

I am an early adopter, kickstarter days, and had some noisy fan issues. Mila was super cool about replacing the faulty units with poor fan quality. Overall, these units are awesome. Fantastic customer service. Mila tends to mitigate any device issues with attentive customer service. They do stand by their product and have been good about replacing the units with the loud fans. Great app as well.

Great product and excellent customer service

I’ve had my Mila for about two years now and absolutely love it. I’ve had no complaints at all. I just reached out to customer service for the first time because of a hiccup in my auto refill subscription, and they exceeded my expectations in their timeliness and responsiveness handling the issue. I could not be happier!

Regarding the VOC readings and the reaction in auto mode, let's dive into that a bit more. It's quite possible that if the AQI (Air Quality Index) is within a good range, Mila might not show a noticeable reaction in certain modes. Specifically, when you mention Housekeeping Mode, this is designed to kick in when no motion is detected for a period of time, aiming to keep things quiet and efficient while you're not around.

If Mila isn’t responding as expected when switching to Housekeeping Mode or reacting to VOC levels, we should definitely take a closer look. It’s important to us that Mila is tuning into your home’s needs perfectly.

Could you shoot us an email at support@milacares.com? That way, we can review the behavior of your Mila in detail and also take a closer look at the VOC sensitivity.

DON’T BUY.

I bought two Mila in 2022. I’ve now had both of them replaced and the same awful noises have come back. They’re out of the warrantee by a year so my assumption is they only last for a year and then they break. On top of this the filters are expensive and my total spend is now over £1000 for something that doesn’t work.

I love that I know exactly how clear…

My Mila was acting crazy

My Mila was acting crazy ! New unit ! Extremely high AQI ! Fan never turned off all of a sudden ! Apparently they sent a software update to the unit an and fixed it ! Very responsive to their customers !
