Nonexistent reservation
Made a reservation. Went to the rental car place and they had no record of it. The number I was provided is not the format of the numbers the car company uses. I had to rent one directly from them at a higher price. Never again.

Dear Sirs:
On April 28, of this year, my partner and I began this rental agreement , and completed it through Miles Car Rental. Since Thrifty is owned by Hertz, the platform used was identified as a Hertz operation. The result has been unfortunate, at best, possibly beset with incompetence, or flat-out crooked, at the worst.
We both were sent confirmations, copies attached, from Thrifty Car Rental. I arrived at the Thrifty counter at Hartsfield and was presented with a billing that was way beyond the stated rental cost. The cost, stated on the confirmation notices (attached) was to be $418.25. This confirmation cost included the Approximate Rental charge, Airport Concession Recovery Fee, Vehicle License Recovery Fee, Customer Facility Charge, and Insurance charges for Liability Insurance Supplement, Loss Damage Waiver, Premium Emergency Roadside Assistance, Personal Accident Insurance.
I objected to the Insurance adds, because I have full Liability and Comprehensive Coverage on my Cars. I objected at repeatedly, but the Liability Insurance Supplement remained. The staff person then scribbled yellow marker over all the charges, except the actual carr rental charge. Since the Thrifty staff remained oblivious to my directives, I elected to take this up with you for correction. In spite of repeated objections, I was charged an unwanted extra $209.94 for Loss Damage Waiver.
Looking over the charge differences at home, the Inclusions in the "Approximate Rental Charge" did list Concession and Licensing Recovery Fees and Customer Facility as "items that are included in the Approximate Rental Charges." I was charged again for those costs - see the "Thrifty Incomplete RR" (attached). This is a $48.13 overcharge.
I would like a refund of $258.07 immediately, plus any added taxes that were included on the "Inclusions" double charge and the unwanted Loss Damage Waiver. Such interest charges are illegal in Colorado, the Missouri Attorney General might have a similar opinion.
Miles Car Rental has first option on this matter, but only for a week. This letter and its attachments will be sent to Hertz, Thrifty, Hartsfield Airport, and the appropriate Missouri state government offices, if necessary. Please see to this situation as quickly as possible.
