First of all it was an advertisement at the right time because I only needed one day rental and I was looking to save money with a better car. MILES came through quite well and it WORKED!!! I dropped the first car off off-site at the TPA airport and though I had a good experience with the other company, MILES connect us with Thrifty at a great price and excellent car and I was in and out without more than a small upfront rental cost. Follow the rules and read the small print, and you will also be thrilled!

Called to reserve a ride and the lady on the phone was a complete and total liar. She stated that she was running my credit card to reserve the car yet. The lady never not once did she run my card she continue to tell me that it was declined so I gave her another one. She said it was declined. Also, I gave her another one. She said it was declined. Also, the lady was not running my car because she had she would’ve asked me for the CVV code, Emma ZIP Code which she never asked for and told me they didn’t need it, which is a lie. So I connected her with American Express my card company and the three of us got to talking and she hung up. Why? Because she knows she’s a liar… I might be asking why would she do that but I will tell you I’m trans. I’ve been going through transition for over a year when trying to make the reservation online it was noted that I was trans and wanted to be addressed as Miss believe me I look just like a woman and you would think I was one. Apparently she didn’t like it. I would not recommend this car company for anything if I was dying and needed a ride I would not call the company

Well on 6/12/23 their office called to doa follow up on this and I will tell you I’m quite impressed. They do care about their customers and they care about what the public thinks and I think they want to take care of any problems immediately, which I cannot say that for other car companies that are renting vehicles some of the big ones the well-known ones we all know about, they’re so big and conglomerate they could care less, but not this outfit. It was brought to my attention that the problem was not really the representative but more so the system itself that caused all of my cards to decline. At least that’s what I was told but the simple fact that this company called me back is what shows me that they do care about their clients. Therefore I’m going to change this review from the negative to positive because they do want to make it right I do recommend renting from this company more so than I would any other, because no other one would’ve done what they did and called me back to try to make it right.

This is the worst car rent experience I've had in my life. Be aware that this is a third party provider; I didn't realize when booking my car. I went to the car rental and they didn't have a car avaliable! I would have to wait at least one hour and this was 30 minutes past my pick up time. Just unbelievable!

Apparently if your a Florida resident you can’t use your debit card, and they don’t accept PayPal Mastercard- although the confirmation website does not say that. They accept Mastercard, Visa, Diners, etc. This booking is no good to me and it’s proving impossible to cancel. So far I’ve got the threat of keeping my deposit.
Days have now gone by without any productive follow up. I’ve received emails from the company asking for pictures of my credit card- which I e provided, and have not received follow up. Then I got an email from the company telling me they’ve been trying to contact me to discuss the matter! I’ve responded to your emails- how have you not been able to contact me?!
I have been told today that I will receive a refund without penalty. In regards to receiving regular email communication with Katerin Perez, I would be happy to raise my satisfaction rating. Although the original experience was beyond frustrating, Katerin took responsibility for my complaint and resolved it. I should have my refund in “7-15” days. Thank you Katerin.

This is my first time with Miles Car Rental. I can say that the process to rent a car is clear and honest.
Hope the rest goes so well as the initial steps.

Had never heard of "Miles Car Rental" until i booked through Dollar.

Tampa Airport counter says contact Dollar customer service for a refund.

Dollar customer service says you booked through "Miles Car Rental" (we didn't) so contact them for the refund.

Miles Car Rental doesn't answer the phone nor have a way of contacting them.

It's a scam... and these 4 & 5 star reviews?

Fake.

Don't waste your time... go straight to your credit card company, explain your situation and request a chargeback.

UPDATE: contrary to the reply below there has been no attempt by Miles Car Rental to contact me nor resolve the situation.

Miles Car Rental; my email address and reservation number have been submitted with this review.

You know this as well as i do.

It is my belief you are words with no action and are likely tasked with wasting customer's time so as to keep their money.

Prove me wrong.

My sister rented a car for me, as a gift. I was no allowed to. Pick up the rental, because my name was not on the purchasing credit card. The rental requirements are hidden in the menu, instead of a link on the page. Your company, stole 18% of the refund, due to deceptive practices. I had to call twice to get the cancelation done, because the first woman i spoke with was rude and consistently interrupted me.

The whole thing was a terrible experience and you will be getting 1 star ratings everywhere i can post it.

*update * they held my entire refund hostage until I changed my review. After 2 weeks, we came to an agreement that I would modify my review, AFTER my refund was received.

So, here's my modified review. I am. Contacting the BBB and the local news. Stay away from Miles Car Rental. They are a scam

*update number 2* No matter what they say on here, they harassed me daily and held my refund hostage. That is no way to provide customer service. That is no way, "customer satisfaction." They were hoping that I would give up, so they could keep the money.

I also had to threaten them with contacting the police to file harassment charges, because they continued to call and email daily.

The representative was so knowledgeable, kind, efficient and attentive! He answered all my questions got me the best deal available.
