Good idea, improvement opportunities
Mimo offers multiple programming languages. The pro version cheaper than I thought - 30€ per year is a fair price.
The structure of learning could be improved and more gamification elements so it's easier to keep motivation high.

I never believed I can learn coding on my mobile phone
Great for Mobile Learning Anytime, Anywhere
I’m using the free version, and what I appreciate most is how easy it makes learning to code wherever I am. I can study on my mobile phone during my commute or whenever I have a spare moment, which keeps me progressing even on busy days. The interface is clean, friendly, and very convenient to use, so it never feels like a chore to open it up and practice. Overall, it’s a great companion for learning on the go and staying consistent with my coding journey.
So happy I found Mimo
I was taking a course to learn Python on a different platform. It was just too advanced for me as a beginner. I asked Gemini to find a course that I could use on my iPad and Mimo came highly rated. I’m using it on my iPad and computer. I use Gemini to help me when I’m stuck in pro mode. I like it better than the Mimo AI. I am learning so much on Mimo at my own pace. I like being able to go over lessons as much as I like. I don’t mind paying the fee. It’s worth it if I hope to work in this field.

Babysteps gets me there
After numerous tries on different learning platforms I have been learning for 14 days straight. Just tiny bits. But it is what I need. Small topics with lots of questions from different angles.
learning to code is fun
the app is fun to use. very similar to duolingo. i am using the free version and the ads are not so intrusives, only one, which last 10sec, after finishing a lesson. i prefer used it instead of sololearn where ads are everywhere. i would appreciate more plans : the annualy plan at 60€ is too expansive. 30€ would be far better, or please propose a plan to get full access to one spéciality/career, Pyhton for instance, with a cost of 10€ for example ?
Never thought that learning python was…
Never thought that learning python was this easy until I use mimo. The app is designed in such a way so that anyone can learn regardless of their age and prior experience. If anyone wants to learn to code, this is the right place to go.
I’ve really enjoyed using Mimo to learn…
I’ve really enjoyed using Mimo to learn Python. The app breaks down concepts into small, manageable lessons that make it easy to stay focused and build confidence step by step. The interactive exercises and instant feedback help reinforce what I’ve learned, and I appreciate how the platform encourages daily practice without feeling overwhelming.
What stands out most is the practical approach — instead of just reading theory, I get to apply concepts right away through real coding tasks. This has made it much easier for me to understand topics like functions, loops, and data handling. Overall, Mimo has made learning to code accessible, engaging, and effective, and I would highly recommend it to anyone starting their programming journey.
Reviews are not usually my cup of tea
Reviews are not usually my cup of tea; however, I felt compelled to write this one about Mimo. It’s one of the most approachable and thoughtfully designed coding apps I’ve used. It manages to strike a balance that’s surprisingly rare... it’s friendly without being childish, structured without feeling rigid, and motivating without relying on gimmicks. If you’re trying to decide whether it’s worth your time, here’s what stood out to me.
Mimo breaks coding concepts into small, digestible steps that you can complete in just a few minutes. That pacing makes it easy to stay consistent, even on busy days, and you never feel overwhelmed by too much information at once.
Instead of long explanations, you’re immediately writing and fixing code. That active approach helps the concepts stick and makes the learning process feel more like doing than memorizing.
The app explains things in a way that’s simple without being simplistic. It feels like having a patient tutor who knows exactly when to clarify and when to challenge you.
Because the app always shows you exactly what comes next, it removes the guesswork... and that’s a huge boost when you’re trying to stay committed to learning.
Whether you’re brand new to coding or brushing up on fundamentals, Mimo scales smoothly. It never assumes too much, but it also doesn’t talk down to you. Kids, adults, and older learners can all move at their own pace.
The lessons connect directly to useful skills like web development, Python, and JavaScript. You’re not just learning theory... you’re building things that feel relevant and modern.
Everything is easy to navigate, easy to understand, and easy to return to after a break. That matters more than people realize when you’re trying to build a new habit.
Would I Recommend It? Absolutely.
Coding is becoming a core skill for problem‑solving, creativity, and digital literacy. Mimo makes that skill accessible to anyone, regardless of age or background. If you’ve ever been curious about coding but didn’t know where to start, as I was, this is one of the most welcoming and effective entry points you’ll find.
I love the experience
I really love this app because all the exercises are well explained, I think I'm learning a lot from it. I already recommend it to some of my friends and family
The funniest way to learn a programming…
The funniest way to learn a programming language. The difficulty steps are really smooth and addictive. Just one thing, you can't use a PC unless you pay the max premium subscription, and there are some exercises that you need to use a computer. I payed for the medium subscription and in my opinion it should be enough.
Great Micro-learning tool
I enjoy the small lessons, and when I encounter difficulties, they help me work through them. Additionally, it's competitive, allowing me to earn points that I can use for days off. The streak is important to me as it keeps me on track. My only concern is that contacting someone to resolve a problem can be challenging. For example, I used a streak repair before I broke my streak, but when it happened, I tried to reach out for assistance and was unsuccessful. I had to wait until the next month to receive a free streak break, resulting in a loss of two hundred and fifty points.
