Most servers are p2w generic garbage made by 2 guys high on drugs in a basement, the staff mute you if you are not ranked because "poor people don't get free speech", they claim the server is a garden and that I'm just some troll not allowed in after I told 2 kids who were arguing to "shut the f up" because this chat filter is so dumb, it doesn't even let us say "chess extra" because "woops I forgot that s ex was in there guess my four hour long essay is ruined". the sponsored event stuff also suck. overall would not recommend i hope minehut and the company that owns it goes bankrupt

The new changes are terrible for players with free servers, So at least let us switch to a better free host without the stupid file download limit.

Some of you say, "Use the plugin its not that hard." Then tell me, what was the point of the file download limit?

It's obvious that they want to restrict people from leaving the host and instead by their new SUPER CHEAP PAID PLANS

Very fast support team, servers are powerful, good protections like IP spoofing. Reasonable server specs and features for free servers. Upgrade if you want more features. Support and moderation team is phenomenal and works very hard to keep people safe and keep Minehut clean from inappropriate content. I recommend this service to others.

A few years ago, minehut was always the main server I always used, until today. I had to pay 14 euros to play a timeless server and the server crashes every time and takes forever to load. absolutely do not use. there really are a lot of CHEAPER and better server hosting sites

2 hour time limit is just stupid. what am i supposed to do with 2 hours? 12-8 hours would be very acceptable
but reducing it from 24/7 to 2 is insane

Getting worse and worse. Supposedly "free" servers, yeah maybe for 4 hours a day, and the /vote rewards have been reduced way too much, before to run your server with only vote credits for 1 day you would have to vote for 2 days straight, now it's more like 4 days. The staff will mute you in the span of 4 seconds rather than try to help you with server issues. Minehut won't last very long under these conditions.

only 2 hours of playtime is INSANE. i ain't paying for playtime over 2 hours bro.

They used to be good and i used this hosting for a while. USED to be good. Now theres a time limit for free servers. i cant even play with my friends anymore bc now only owner can start server. They also made it so you cant download your world so u NEED to stay with them or lose all your world. Minehut went down in flames and now there are so many better options. They used to be the best now they are trash.

The time limit, while understandable, is way too short. 2 hours is barely enough time to do anything before getting ripped out of your experience by that message saying that you can't play anymore and being thrown into their garbage, eyesore of a lobby. My overall experience with Minehut the past month or two has not been pleasant, and I won't be recommending this to anyone unless the limit is at the very least raised back to 4-8 hours. Edit: To top it off, they just send a shallow automated response that can be summarized as "buy our paid plans and we'll give you the quality we used to give you before we stopped respecting our users". Don't waste your time or money on Minehut, you can't even move your server easily, since they made it a paid feature to download more than a single file at a time. Not even folders. FILES.

I have been using Minehut to create many servers the past five years, but with the new update they have become way to greedy. They made the free servers only be open for 2 HOURS !! Its outrageous, and straight up stupid, even on the economic side. The reason the server is so great is because of its huge playerbase, and they are going to lose that with the new update
Instead of making the time you can play shorter, they should limit the amount of servers pr. Ip adress, and delete old servers.

added a time limit, reduced said time limit from 8 hours to 4. sucks.

It is to unfair people who dont allways wanna spend money ofc get a free server but the server only stays on for like 2/4 Hours!!!

Console Is **" and you Need pay for a good server, Minefort Is very very good because you can have 20 player on your server and console Is very good

Minehut was good a while ago now its just a pile of garbage.The free servers are so bad that they cant even handle 4 player's online without crashing. without paying for a server you can barely play. Another bad thing about minehut is you cant even download the world you have played since you have to have minehut premium to download multiple files at once.Even tho they earn this much money they still put like 5 ads at once on there website.At this point dont even advertise your server as "free server host".

Minehut used to be a great option for free server hosting as it was less laggy and generally better than some of its competitors. However with the new 4 hour daily time limit on free servers and putting world files behind a paywall so you can't even take your server elsewhere i can't recommend this to anyone.
A really greedy move from minehut and it really shows how disconnected they are from their playerbase. Minehut just isn't good enough that it's worth it to pay when the servers are randomly down for days and you can't access your world.
This didn't used to be such an issue when the servers were free and you weren't really losing anything if it didn't work but if you're paying for a server it better be *actually* running 24/7.
Don't give them your money.

I've been using minehut for good 3 years now and all i can say is

The UI and plugin adding keeps channging with makes it hard to manage after a break

The "Playtime limit" is the most anyoing thing in the world

And overall the server hosting isn't that great

Minehut added a time limit to their free servers after having them available at all times for years past. This prevents any AFK farming, large pojects, or just a chill day playing on your world. This would not be a big issue if i could download the world that me and my friends spent a year+ making and host it myself, but you have to pay to dowload your worlds. What a waste of time for all of us

You need to pay in order to download the server files and to not have your server shut down every four seconds. They are probably violating the FTC's Anticompetitive Practice laws on Single Firm Conduct.

Greedy Company

Advertises free servers and over the last few years treated free server users like trash deleting our servers and now giving us a BS time limit.

Completely understand the limitations minehut has put in place recently. They're a great company and i've always been satisfied with their service. However, a friend of mine started hosting a free server a couple months ago. They never paid, so i understand the time-limit. But not allowing them to download their own world in a zip-file??? And don't try to say you can download each file individually, we're talking about 1000+ files in that case. That's just absurd to me. It screams cash-grab. A real EA-type action that i never expected of them. Very dissapointing! If you're a new player coming into contact with minehut, I would avoid at all costs! There are better, safer options these days.
