I love my MiniBrew!

Don't let the few negative reviews fool you.

I have owned the minibrew system for a few years now. Although, I don't brew as often as I'd like, but it's still the best option I can think of. Before the minibrew my biggest hurdle was the thought of all the cleaning: Cleaning and disinfecting equipment, cleaning and disinfecting bottles etc. With the minibrew, this is not really a concern as it self-cleans and whatever it doesn't clean can be put in the dishwasher. I also like that all my recipes are saved with version control in the system, which makes it easier to develop your favorite beer.

Whenever I have needed support I have been met with professional, kind and fast service.

I recommend this system to anyone who wants to fit handcrafted beer into your busy schedule.

The world’s best homebrewing machine

I have used the MiniBrew for several years now - and I can only say that it does the job as no one else on the market. It is fully flexible in all aspects of beer brewing and very easy to use. The kegs is fully temperature controlled and works as the container from start of brewing (fermenter) to be the keg for the serving of the beer. The hazzle of cleaning is reduced to an absolute minimum and you do not need to work with bottles if you don’t want. Tap the beer direct from the keg.

Never received, never refunded.

I purchased a unit a year ago and paid import duty. They sent the delivery but the delivery failed. After many months of the unit sitting with FedEx, a refund was repeatedly refused on the basis that they needed to confirm that it wouldn't be delivered.

The unit was requested to be returned to sender, so they have confirmation this won't be sent to me... Refund then refused until they receive the unit.

This week FedEx confirmed with me directly that they can't locate the unit so the vendor will need to file a claim. Now I am being ignored by Minibrew. They have no reason not to refund me but are keeping my money.

REPLY: confirmation that it wasn’t being shipped to me was received on 18th Feb but the refund wasn’t forthcoming.

Since this review, I have received an email from Bart stating that the refund would be with me within 5-7 days. Here we are 13 days later, NO REFUND.

I was told they had initiated the refund on the 11th but that wasn't true as Bart followed up on on the 23rd that a refund wasn't an option because a previous partial refund was previously given when they couldn't send out ingredients with my order and offered bacs payment.

I sent them my details and Bart explained "I will let you know once it's done. I expect end of this month."

A bank transaction takes two minutes and every business has the ability to process a transaction urgently if they want to. I've not had a response to my request yesterday for payment so this could be yet another delay tactic. I wonder if they have cash flow issues given that there are a lot of customers on these reviews waiting for refunds (concerning if you're purchasing a unit)

I’m sorry for the trouble you’ve been through. Our team has frequently contacted FedEx, keeping you updated at every step. The refund has been issued and a screenshot has been shared.

As you know, locating an undelivered package can take longer than expected. To clarify a few steps and be transparent.

We initially held off on issuing a refund because, in rare cases, packages presumed lost turn up later and get resent after we’ve already processed a refund. To prevent that situation, our policy requires FedEx to confirm a package is officially lost (or returned to our warehouse) before we release any funds back to customers.

I’m very sorry for the continued trouble and understand how frustrating this is. Here’s the current status:

On April 11, FedEx confirmed your package was lost, and we immediately initiated a full refund—normally posted within 5–7 business days (by April 23).

When the refund hadn’t appeared by April 23, we escalated the matter with our payment provider.

They’ve since confirmed that a small partial refund was already issued as a credit on your account, which has disabled our system’s automatic refund function. We’ve emailed you a screenshot showing this on April 23.

We’re working closely with our payment provider to identify the safest method to release the outstanding balance. We’ve also requested your bank details, which you shared, to facilitate a direct transfer if needed on April 24.

Still, our finance team advises waiting for the provider’s guidance to avoid any risk of duplicate refunds. This happend in the past and we didn't get it back. That was today on April 25.

On April 26 we got the confirmation from our payment provider that automatic refund wasn't possible and used your bank details. A screenshot of the refund has been shared.

Best beer, excellent customer support and quality product

I got the machine few months ago. At the beginning was a bit difficult to get started and connect the machine to my phone but once I got it it was really easy and a lot of fun using it. What I really like about the MiniBrew is the quality of the product and I was blown up by the excellent taste and quality of the beer (I had expected it to be “so so beer” but it’s better that anything you can buy!)
I’d recommend this product and company to any beer lover.
The last, but perhaps the most important 5 start level comment is the customer support! It’s awesome, they reply quickly and are very understanding. They have even replaced a faulty part for free!
One thing I’d like them to improve is to have all those beer kits in stock always. I wanted to try something exotic but it’s not in stock….. lastly, also a small thing they can improve is to offer free delivery in order larger than 40-50€ ;) would be nice to have.

A perfect hobby for me.

Great equipment and a great company

Great equipment and a great company. Not large, their production is slow and small batches, but it shows in the product. I have had a minibrew for a few years and imported it to the USA. I was looking to replace my all grain system with something i could still brew real beer the right way. This system checked all the boxes and i was immediately off to brewing recipie s from my all grain system. If you are thi king about it and what i said above resonates with you, five it a shot. Also you will be able to brew after work and be done by bedtime, this system allows you to brew with an hour of effort instead of a day, love it.

All's Well That Ends Well

The true quality of a product and customer service is revealed not when everything works perfectly, but when problems arise. The pump in my device broke down, and although I initially had trouble reaching MiniBrew, they ultimately kept their promises, acknowledged temporary response time issues, and helped restore the device to full functionality. In the end, they proved to be reliable, and the device itself is fantastic.

That said, here are a few things to clarify.
1. We share draft invoices with anyone, regardless of whether it is a warranty or a new sale. This is required to get an address confirmation.
2. Our support and sales team informed you that no payment was required as it was a warranty case.

Your case was discussed yesterday (January 27). Our team will ship your order this week and reimburse you for the cost of the shipment. I hope the fun of brewing returns when I create new beers.

I have just made my first brow with the mini brow and I have to say I was extrem impressed throghout the whole process, it was really so thoght trow! The only strange thing was that you needed to pay like 10 euro per month to make your own recept? Wery strange, when you bout the system you schouldent need to pay to use it?

Minibrew delivers with support second to none

As a craft beer fan, I always been interested in learning more about brewing beer and being able to recreate some of my favourite beers in my own kitchen.

However, I live in an apartment and my wife has always been dead against the idea of home brewing.

She likes a beer herself but she hates the odours associated with brewing and was worried about me making a big mess in the kitchen.

The Minibrew caught my attention years ago but it is a bit niche of a set-up and not a cheap option to learn how to brew. I was a bit concerned with the long delivery estimates and potential import duties since I’m based in the UK.

The support team at Minibrew were able to assure me on my concerns and I’m so glad that I finally bite the bullet and purchased one when the Generation 3 machines became available earlier this year.

I received regular updates from the company on the progress and the delivery went very smooth with the machine, additional keg and accessories packaged carefully.

My first brewing experiences where completed using the dedicated brewpacks. This was a great way of learning basics of the brewing process and the specifics of the machine.

For me, the real benefit is the pro membership which allows users to create their own recipes. I love this tool as it allows me to “clone” recipes that are shared by more experienced users (and create very nice beers).

It is amazing to be able to replicate the processes used in a professional brewery on a small scale on your kitchen counter, with software-controlled mashing, boiling and fermentation. I use the portal via the web browser on my mobile phone and receive notifications when a user action is needed. It will also tell me when the next action is due.

The process is quite clean and doesn’t create a mess. There is a bit of odour during mashing/boiling but it doesn’t leave the kitchen smelling like a brewery afterwards which means that my wife is tolerating my new hobby.

This really is a unique system for small scale full control all grain brewing and I’m absolutely loving it!!

It makes for a relaxed experience on brew day 😊. Well done team Minibrew!!

Also a shout-out to the support team. They have shown a lot of patience answering my questions and their support is second to none. I had a small issue with the clean in place container but the issue was diagnosed correctly and I received a replacement part free of charge and without any hassle.

The communication with the support was good but delivery dont work

I have received great response from Minibrew and therefore have changed my rating. It feels like they really take their responsibility, and I feel great confidence in the company Minibrew.
The communication with the support has worked well, but the company Minibrew is unable to return, transport and deliver back my repaired brewer.

First I had to wait two years for the delivery of the brewing machine. When I finally got it home and was going to do the cleaning program, the brewer stopped working after a short while on April 16th. I quickly received digital support and help, but the machine remained unusable. A repair case was created, and I was asked to send the brewer back. Even though I was supposed to get a free return slip via a link, only payment options appeared. To speed up the process, I paid for the return myself.

I sent the brewer away and the repair took almost a week. I was offered a new brewer instead of waiting for the repair and accepted that offer, but no new machine arrived and I was given no explanation as to why. On June 10th I was told that the repair was complete and that the brewer would be sent back within a few days. Now almost a month has passed and I still haven't received the brewer back. I just get a bunch of excuses but no delivery notice.

I received the Minibrewer on April 15th and still haven't brewed any beer at the beginning of July.

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear that you haven't received your repaired unit. A few things went wrong on our side, and I apologize for that. We shipped the unit on July 1, and the tracking code was shared via email.

Our regular repair process typically takes about 2 weeks, excluding shipment times. Shipping to our service center usually takes around 1 week, and the return shipment takes another week, making the entire process approximately 1 month. We received your repair on May 17 in our warehouse and May 23 in our service center. We began the repair on May 30, and completed it by June 10. However, the unit was only shipped on July 1, which is longer than expected.

We've made some changes to expedite this process in the future. Additionally, our service engineer has now reserved every Thursday to ensure repairs are done and shipped out promptly.

Thank you for your patience, and I appreciate your understanding.
