I’ve just used the minky vortex mop and bucket for the first time. Here’s my feelings. The bucket is light to carry but robust and sturdy. The vortex wringer for the mop head is excellent ! It really wrings out the most of the water so the floor dries in no time. I cleaned my floor in no time. It smells and looks lovely and clean. If you want a traditional mop and bucket, the minky vortex is in my opinion, the best choice

Minky rotary clothes dryer…rubbish!

I bought a Minky rotary clothes dryer and it had a part missing.
Unfortunately Minky say they don't stock this part. As I can't find my receipt I have no warranty and I'm unable to even buy the necessary part from them. In other words, a brand new rotary clothes dryer is scrap.

I bought a Minky Sure Dri heated airer…

I bought a Minky Sure Dri heated airer in November 2025. So far the airer itself works well, but the cover provided is thin and terrible quality and has come away at the seams already. This product retails for £140 and is basically useless without the cover. I sent an email today requesting a replacement cover, only to be told by customer service advisor Rachel that they wouldn’t cover this under the guarantee. They have tried to imply it’s wear and tear (I’ve had it 5 months).
Anyway Rachel didn’t even advise on how to purchase the replacement cover. Terrible customer service. Completely unhelpful. I would never buy from them again.
I also have a Minky retractable washing line and the plastic has broken on that. Overall Minky are not a quality brand sadly.

I ordered what i thought was 2 x locking handle for my Minky airer £5.49 plus £3.00 postage, firstly they the delivery was late, secondle i only received one, i contacted Minky who were totally unhelpful, and asked me if i would like to purchase and one, for the price of another £8.49, i said this was unacceptable as this would now cost me £16.98 which i could buy a new one for that price, i asked if i could return the locking arm for a full refund, only to be told by Emma told yes but i would have to pay for postage, the customer service i received from Minky was absolutely appalling, i would never buy another Minky product.

Avoid seller

I bought some tea towls from this company that didn't arrive, I'm dyslexic and explained this to them , I still haven't received my refund and seller is now saying there's nothing they can do
Avoid this seller, if there courier loses a order they should take the responsibility, I've been chasing my tail for 9 days straight, no item, no refund. AVOID

Defective Ironing board

A defective Ironing board claim has been rejected as claimed accidental damage. The feedback from them is inaccurate claiming damage that is not there. The board is compatible with steam irons with a base which are heavy by design. This is the second replacement ironing board as the first one arrived in a faulty condition. Terrible Experience. Will not buy from them again.

Cheapest and worst quality ever…

Cheapest and worst quality I have experienced! Purchased a basic ironing board for £40 which disintegrated after first use. Stay away from this brand, and buy a proper quality product somewhere !

cheaply made product - company refuses responsibility

cheaply made product — company refuses responsibility

I have never dealt with a company as dismissive and irresponsible as Minky.

I purchased a Minky Heated Clothes Airer which failed under normal, everyday use. The wings cracked and bent, making the unit unsafe. After arguing my case, Minky replaced it “as a gesture of goodwill” — and the replacement developed the exact same fault.

Two products. Same failure. That is not “accidental damage” — that is a fundamentally flawed, cheaply made design.

Instead of acknowledging an obvious manufacturing or structural issue, Minky have chosen the classic tactic of blaming the customer. They now claim I “overloaded” the wings, despite the product being used exactly as advertised to dry clothes. Apparently drying clothes on a clothes airer is now misuse.

What makes this worse is that Minky admit the item is now unsafe to use due to exposed wiring, yet still refuse a refund or replacement. So to be clear:
• They sold a product that broke
• Replaced it with another that broke
• Admit it is electrically unsafe
• Then washed their hands of the problem

Their final insult was offering me a 20% discount to buy another one. Why would I spend more money on a product that has already failed twice and could be a fire or electric shock risk?

This is a company that:
• Produces flimsy, poorly engineered products
• Avoids accountability by hiding behind “accidental damage” claims
• Uses “gesture of goodwill” to dodge legal responsibility
• Leaves customers with unsafe electrical items and no remedy

If a product fails twice in the same way, the problem isn’t the customer — it’s the product.

Avoid Minky heated airers. And if something goes wrong, don’t expect them to stand behind what they sell.

In The Bin !!!

I should have read the reviews on Trustpilot before buying. My stepdaughter wanted a Heated Clothes Airer for Christmas, two Options Minky or Lakeland. Viewed both options and decided to go with Minky as they looked very similar. I bought it mid November well in time. The images on the Minky website clearly show the flap on the cover either has zips or Velcro to keep the flap down to retain the heat. When it was opened now fasteners on a very flappy paper thin cover with when the drier is used flap open. Anyway contacted Customer support several emails back and forth, no resolution. As it was bought in November the 30 day returns policy does not apply either. DO NOT BUY

Product Safety Report

Product Safety Report – Minky Classic T-Leg Ironing Board

While using my Minky Classic T-Leg ironing board in normal domestic use, the welded joint failed suddenly and without warning, causing the entire board to collapse. I was extremely fortunate not to be injured.

This was a structural failure, not wear and tear, and it raises concerns about the safety and durability of the product. The failure occurred during ordinary use and could easily have caused serious injury.

I reported the incident to the manufacturer, but assistance was unhelpful due to lack of proof of purchase. No investigation of the safety aspect was offered.

I am reporting this incident so that any potential wider safety risk can be assessed.

ONE OF MY WORST EXPERIENCES EVER!

Where to begin? I would never consider any Minky products again, not even a dish sponge! I bought a Minky heated throw last year, through Amazon Marketplace ~ the seller being Vale Mill Rochdale Ltd. It wasn't cheap at £50, but I felt good that I was buying British. The throw stopped heating after only a handful of uses and then the nightmare began. I was told I would have to return it to the manufacturer for "testing". Despite the Consumer Right Act stipulating I was entitled to a refund. The throw heated up sporadically, so any "testing" by the manufacturer would be biased against me as it would likely heat up when they got it. I was not happy with this as a resolution. I decided to contact Minky themselves, only to discover that Vale Mill Rochdale Ltd IS Minky!! How neatly they have that tied up! The Consumer Right Act specifically states that the consumer's contract of sale is with the seller of goods, not with the manufacturer. What to do when they are one and the same? I finally contacted Amazon to see if they could help. A lovely Amazon associate arranged for a return of the throw and a full refund. This was quite late at night. I was so relieved that the issue was resolved after several months. Imagine my horror next morning when I received an email from Minky, overruling Amazon and repeating the same message as before - I must return it to the manufacturer for testing. I had had enough. I immediately contacted Amazon. They reviewed all my messages and gave me a refund on the the spot, telling me to bin the heated throw. I wouldn't touch Minky or Vale Mill Rochdale Ltd with a barge pole. They are blatantly breaking the Consumer Right Act and they don't care about their customers.

dual reel snapped toggles

Bought a dual reel washing line. Plastic toggles snapped on mine within 6 months, like many others . Minky say it's accidental damage - without seeing the item and refuse to replace it under warranty. It's not accidental if it happens frequently, and in fact was such a problem that the design has been changed.

They are breaking Consumer Law and don't even care.

Genuine review from a very disgruntled customer.
Bought British product (if it really is made in Britain) from a British company.
Direct from Minky.
Would have got better quality from Temu!
I'll go Dutch and buy Brabantia now.

Poor product, poor customer service

I purchased two replacement locking mechanisms for my Minky airer (which broke, so that's also not great). It transpires is is impossible to remove the old broken pins so they shouldn't have been sold to me in the first place. The parts that arrived aren't even as marketed, they aren't the same design or colour as pictured. I asked for a refund and expected customer services to reimburse shipping and to pay for the return postage cost, given the items were mis-sold. Instead they told me they wouldn't, and said I needed to pay for expensive tracked delivery myself to even get a refund for the items. Meaning total postage costs would exceed the value of the items. Extremely disappointing. I won't buy a minky product again.

Bad customers service

When I closed my business, I took an ironing board from stock, as I had a dry cleaning shop and a household goods store. The ironing board would not stand up, so I contacted Minky and was told that the board had been manufactured with the fault and was not repairable, but wouldn't repair it or replace it, as I didn't have a receipt, yes, I had no receipt because it was my own shop. I noticed from reviews that Minky had replaced goods when the customers had lost their receipts
I now intend to take action against the company. And I will.

Retractable Duo Reel Washing Line

Retractable Duo Reel Washing Line, has started to chip away, over the year. I contact the Customer Service to see if they could help. The warranty is over just by a couple of months. They informed me that it’s Accidental damage, due to it being over loaded. (This is bs, as the line is 30m long and only used 6m max, so I couldn’t have over loaded it)
The product can only be used in the summer (in UK is only 3 months if lucky). Even then, I hardly did washing. The customer service are there to gaslight the customer and take no responsibility in a faulty product.
