I can not reach anyone and when I finally did through messaging, I asked if they would do a price match, showed it cheaper elsewhere and they said: "Go buy from them". Tried to contact a manager and no response. nUnbelievable.

Item attired damaged and they are refusing to refund me.

Rugs that last a lifetime, so delighted with my purchase. Free delivery and on time.

Just over two years since we purchased and we've had to replace this rug. The pile is terrible. No matter how often you vacuum, crumbs still get caught in it and it's impossible to use the vacuum on full suction as it won't move across the rug. It also sheds threads and is worn in places already. I wouldn't recommend.

Company went burst and didn’t receive any item from them. So had to buy from another company Therugshopuk and got my item in 2 days

Yep looks like rugs direct have taken over modern rugs. All the same identical rugs. Have to say I bought a lovely rug from them last year. Went in to buy a second one from them now. Realised they were gone bust. The exact rug cost me £134 last year on
Modern rugs website and now it's £209 plus £20 delivery on rugs direct.

The company has ceased trading and gone into liquidation with no correspondence. The only upside was that my credit card company re-credited me with the cost of the rug.

We ordered a rug and were expecting delivery only to find out they have stopped trading i.e gone bust

First time ordering from Modern Rugs initially what I ordered went out of stock between me placing the order and the delivery date but the back ordering process was swift and the rug actually arrived a day earlier than expected. Really happy with the colour and quality - would order from this company again.

I purchased and paid for a rug five weeks ago and it never arrived. Found out they have gone into liquidation. There website redirects you to a different company. Which is the same director. I eventually got my money back from this company by insisting with a few emails.

Love my new rug! Really completes my room.

The indoor/outdoor rug purchased from Modern rugs arrived quickly and is excellent quality. It looks great and works well on the patio with our corner sofa

I placed my order about a month ago, and and haven't received the rug or received any communication other than the initial order confirmation. It seems now that the website is down, and they are neither answering the phone or responding to emails. I suspect this is the last that I'll see of my money, and that I'll never receive my rug. Their website now seems to redirect to "Our friends at Rugs Direct". If you search for directors information via the UK government website, you'll find that these companies share a director, a Mr Nick Acaster (though he inserts the middle name Jonathan for one of them). Mr Nick Jonathan Acaster is also a director of several other flooring and rugs companies. I have no experience of the service provided by Mr Acaster's other companies, but I do know that Modern Rugs are poor (as described above). Personally I will be avoiding all of Mr Acaster's companies.

We have bought a really lovely soft rug, the sun on the golden pattern brings a glow in the room, it is really good quality, deep and enhance the room

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE. Not that you can anymore because the site is closed but I wouldn’t purchase from their ‘friends’ Rugs Direct either. We bought a rug on 7th April, two weeks later had heard nothing. I’ve emailed and called with no reply, despite the monies being taken from our account. I’ve now seen here that it looks like they’ve been liquidated or bought out. But no communication with those who have purchased from them but haven’t received anything. AVOID.

on 27/02/2020 i ordered a rug from modern rugs, then told i was out of stock, & would i like to wait 6 weeks . so we agreed, but still no rug ,tried to email you. told Rug Was Dispatched 02/04/2020 .Still no rug now 24/04/2020. NOW I FIND YOU HAVE GONE ITO LIQUIDATION, With The Loss Of £96.30 to me. No Way Of Contacting You As Website No Longer In Use , & contact number not no good. SO I HOPE THIS IS A GOOD REVIEW FOR YOU>

We have ordered a few rugs in the past couple years and have always been happy with the service and quality of the rugs would definately buy again.

Absolutely perfect rug for our lounge - great descriptions, size information and pictures. And a very good price!

Absolutely thrilled with the colour, quality and overall appearance of my rug. It has made our little garden so homely.... which is nice since we are stuck at home!

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE . Absolute disgrace money taken from my account weeks ago , still waiting for my order so I decided to send an email to check on it’s whereabouts (as could understand there might be a delay due to the current circumstances). Was redirected and told the company had gone into liquidation, no communication whatsoever . No apology given + told to ask my bank to try to get my money back. Also told that I could order from their friends ‘Rugsdirect’ who have taken over from them. I certainly won’t be doing this either as their tone has been abrupt and unprofessional. As a previous customer stated not even worth one star as I’m out of pocket and not going to receive my goods.
