Morgan & Morgan has to be one of the…

Morgan & Morgan has to be one of the most incompetent law firms out there when I first went to prevent my case to them and told them my information they call me several times within the same day for a couple weeks straight asking for the same information with different people every time at random hours trying to make sure I keep up with them so I can keep up with my case to be honest with you I cannot say that they're very confident when they have their with client called for the same thing over and over again when being told oh yeah you're on a waiting list for the attorneys to say they'll take the case or not a lot of times I get the calls late at around 8:00 8:00 p.m. when I get up late for work and I work at night time but you really 8:00 p.m. they don't seem very well organized and I don't consider them that confident I wouldn't go for them again then do anything good for my case at all I don't recommend Morgan & Morgan

Financial elder abuse case

Had an elder financial abuse claim. Each time I have presented a case to them; they always claim that they are unable to help. Just found this site today; and now I'm realizing that this is widespread. Why do they advertise as they do? Clickbait? I don't see any reason to call again. I guess they could care less, they have tons of potential clients. Also, the people I speak to who review my initial claim hardly speak or understand English well.

Representation??

I hired Morgan and Morgan for an accident I had back in 2020. An Attorney by the name of Jon Hawk, was assigned to my case. At first, everything appeared to be going well with the case, we were on one accord regarding the accident and everything it entailed. Then, something seemed odd with the conversations. It seemed that when talking about the case it was as though we were going to go to trial, even though it wasn't what I wanted, however, he was my attorney so I leaned on him as far as what was best for the case. Then, things seemed to spiral down hill to where I could barely reach him, and I understand he had several other cases, yet, I was his client too and was kept out of the loop. Records seemed to come up missing or were not requested, he had paralegals coming and going like a revolving door, and when we had conversations thereafter, sometimes, he didn't know who I was; like he was reassigned to my case after a previous lawyer, when he was the first one. We had an argument about his representation of me regarding the case, and he was arrogant about his ability as a lawyer, like no one was better than him and if I dropped him and went with another lawyer, I wouldn't be represented well and could take my chances if I wanted to. We at some point worked through the messiness, then he left and started his own firm, but never notified me. I didn't find out until another paralegal for another attorney contacted me saying that my case was transferred to another attorney, Laura Maki. I was livid to say the least. How in the heck can you just pass a client around like their case is not important nor them because you don't have the decency to give them a heads up about your case and that they will no longer represent you. I got a letter from Jon Hawk about a year after he passed on my case stating he was no longer representing me. Really??? How dare you? Where are your ethics? Morals?? I expressed my disdain for having been passed around, no heads up and having to start all over again. Needless to say, my medical records and documents were missing yet again. What the what?? Who does this?? Is this how you all operate in this field?? She did get all the records, or so I was told, however, mediation was a bust x's 2. They lowballed me like used gum on the bottom of a shoe in the street. I don't think either of them believed in my case because, it wasn't long after that Ms. Maki decided to leave this firm too. I'm thinking what in the world is truly going on with this firm? Why are these attorney's choosing to leave? She never said a thing to me either about her leaving the firm and yet again, I didn't find out until the 3rd lawyer took my case. This had left a bitter taste in my mouth and at this point, I wanted to cuss, well I did, about the entire ordeal. It's been 4 years and still in litigation. What the what?? So, I'm seeing what this lawyer is doing for me, or what have you. She has done more than the first 2, however, there's some unsettling within me about things I will address with her. I hope, though, that this is the last lawyer I'll have to deal with. I know they want me to give up and settle for little to nothing, but it's about the principle of the matter at this point. If this is suppose to be the best firm ever, I don't see it. They get their cut regardless of what you get and can be more than what you get in the end. How is that? Something needs to change. You can't say you're For The People, and it's obvious to me now that you're For The Firm, first and foremost.

Wasting your time and running out the clock!

I had fallen down an unlit staircase and they took my case. For some reason, after 15 - 16 months, they dropped me and GAVE NO REASON. When I called for an explanation, they would not take my call. All I wanted was an explanation as to the reason so that I could move forward with another attorney.

This was the worst experience I have…

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a law firm. I went through four different attorney's, did not get my lost wages. The attorney I ended up with did not even fight for more money and I got very little. Waited 90 days for the last of the money only to find out at the last minute that I was not getting any of the remaining money back. I will not be referring anyone I know to go to Morgan and Morgan.

Not for the people

Dealing with Morgan and Morgan is the worst experience I ever had. The commercial that they have is very misleading they don’t care about what you have been through, going through, or your case. All they care about is you settling and taking crumbs from your case. They don’t fight on your behalf or for your best interest.

Terrible Experience

This continues to be a disappointing experience. I was hurt in an accident 2 years ago. Aside from the company taking a whopping 40% off the top before any expenses were paid, the one relief was that I would not have to come out of my pocket for anything. So I certainly feel that I have paid for the law firm to represent me. Now, two years later, I am being contacted by hospital for expenses I was told by my case manager was taken care of. I tried to reach the case manager to find out she no longer works there. I was told by a law clerk that is taking over her cases that there is nothing they can do for me... I am on my own. Wow... I paid you guys to represent me and now I have to do what, find another law firm to follow up on your case two years later. I would not recommend Morgan and Morgan at all.

The worst

The worst. My so-called lawyer (Kimberly Whitaker) had been MIA since the case started. Don't try to call her, she's always on vacation, and doesn't respond to phonecalls or emails. And her voicemail is rude and insensitive. Avoid this company. Their advertisements are deceptive and very misleading.

They did take my case but I had to fired them because they wanted me to do all the work and not pick up when I call. Smh the case was open and shut. The person took falt and their was video. My experience with them was not a good one and it seems like they don't care about their clients and they would have got almost 50%. Except better

Terrible

Terrible. They may have started for the people but who ever runs the show now only cares about money. Its a call center where no one speaks English. I kept getting interrupted and talked over so they could tell me no before they even knew what I was going to say.

Morgan and Morgan Memphis

Morgan and Morgan Memphis, TN
Was told I was assigned to an attorney and they were taking my work comp case for a neck injury. Never even got to speak to the attorney. Was called by a very rude woman who got details about the case that I had already answered twice on a questionnaire and once to a lady on an initial call. I received a text stating they were happy to have me as a client and assumed they were taking my case.

They already had me sign contracts and release for my medical records before she called for the same details a 4th time. Told me they would call me back in a couple of days. Waited a week and the only communication from them was the text stating they were happy to have me as a client. I have received a few texts and emails with a survey asking " tell us how we did". They hadn't done anything yet.

I called to try to find out my status on the case and had to make an appointment for a "phone call". The day I was supposed to get the phone call, I received an email instead stating they had decided to decline the case. Very sketchy and in my opinion, unethical practices. Should have reviewed my case to begin with before telling me you were representing me.

They are terrible

They are terrible. They only care about the money they can make off of you. They dropped my case. Even though it was clear proof that I fell and hurt myself in a store. I'm still going to physical therapy. They only care about making the big money. So if you don't think it's going to make them big money don't even bother calling them.

False Advertising

FIRST, ask them do they appeal to federal court for disability. They do not, so don't waste your time.

When they take your case for SSA Disability, they tell you they file appeals at the Federal level during the intake process. That is not true! They only go as far as the Appeals Council, then if that does not work out you will receive an email from the legal assistant saying the firm will not be able to represent you any further in pursuing federal district court review and terminate the representation. SADLY, they leave you hanging and insist you did sign a paper that states they do not appeal to the federal level. Do you know how many papers that were signed dealing with this ALL THROUGH EMAILS? I missed that part! It was in small writing that you would need a magnifying glass to read it. And they love to say, hurry up and get the papers back to us right away, so that a person will overlook that small writing that is a very important part for a client agreeing to hire them!

And I still say I was told in the beginning they appeal to the federal level all day long but they will say that is not true when it is. I asked over the phone and that person said yes. Otherwise, I would not have agreed to them taking the case. What a waste of time! They need to train their intake people to say upfront, "We do not appeal to the federal level if need be." That way it gives the client the option to proceed or not, instead of the "you signed papers that say we do not appeal to federal court".

I called Rue and Ziffra, and they told me they do not handle federal appeals either, and that they will only go to the Appeals Council level, BUT they were nice enough to tell me who does federal appeals to the Middle District Court. That was something they did not have to do. Morgan & Morgan will not even do that much! Now I have a law firm in Orlando that agreed to proceed to the federal appeals court after reviewing my case. I wish I had known about them first because I could have started this whole process from the beginning with THEM! Morgan & Morgan is poor service and terrible quality. Those commercials are false advertising and the reviews on here speak volumes from unhappy former clients.
