A great experience

I found the whole process straight forward, from finding a car on the website to picking it up the next day.
I was very happy with the price I got for my part exchange car.
Maddie at Chingford was excellent, helpful and patient. There was a problem with the service history of the car I purchased, but Maddie sorted this out for me.
This is the second time I have used Motorpoint and can recommend them.

Car completely failed within 3 months, still dont have it back

I purchased a Nissan Leaf from Motorpoint in late 2025. Within three months the battery failed completely. I have now been without my car for 76 days and the repair is still not complete despite a written promise earlier this month it would be returned within 7-10 days — a promise that has been broken.
During this time I have had to often chase the repair myself, as Motorpoint told me they were also unable to contact the garage carrying out the work. A courtesy car was offered only after I raised a formal complaint, nearly two months after the breakdown.

I have raised a formal complaint with the Motor Ombudsman. Motorpoint has declined to engage with my compensation claim.
I would caution anyone buying a used vehicle from Motorpoint to ensure they understand their rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 before purchasing.

Good customer service only one thing…

Good customer service only one thing the car should at least given a new car mat at least. It’s a lot of money spending to purchase a car the least you can get is a Mat.

Friendly and efficient service

We would have benefitted from a better ‘handover’ of the car we bought ie explanation of the car’s controls etc.

Initial contact good apart from one thing v blood,spoke to…

Initial contact v blood,spoke to Paul...day of changeover was delayed by one day which cost me extra money with my insurance company... picking up car was ok apart from my part x being downgraded by £200...which caused a problem as I don't do internet banking and motorpoint don't do card machine etc...had to frinng my bank and they could not help me,found this stressful, eventually they sent a link to my phone and was able to pay with gpay...not everyone has internet banking so they need to redress this...the girl who delt with me was v good though...holly?
