Motorpoint - Derby Reviews 

I had a really disappointing experience with Motorpoint. We were led to believe the car had a full service history, which was a key factor in our decision to purchase. After investing significant time and incurring additional costs, we later discovered it only had partial history.

This lack of transparency caused unnecessary stress and financial loss, and could have been avoided with clearer, honest communication from the outset. When we raised the issue, there was little willingness to take responsibility or resolve it.

As a result, we chose to sell the car via Carwow, taking a financial hit in the process. Since then, I’ve also come across similar experiences from other customers raising concerns about service history, which is worrying.

I wouldn’t buy from Motorpoint again. If you’re considering purchasing from them, I strongly recommend confirming and seeing full service history before committing.

I brought my last car at Derby Motorpoint so that's why I went back..
The car we wanted was at another Motorpoint so we looked on line before with dealer sorted everything..
And it was all ready to collect a few days later..staff all friendly and helpful
And always get a better price there..

The guys in all the depots Peterborough and Derby and on line have been fantastic very helpful polite and customer focused and not pushy at all just let you do your thing and then when ur ready they are very on the detail and get you through the process very quickly.

The sails man was very professional and helpful. Got an excellent part exchange offer. I would have given it a higher rating but although he was very insistent that we remembered to bring in our 2 keys for the exchange. When we came to do the exchange there was only one key for the car we were buying and although they advertised to replace anything that is missing they were not going to pay for a 2nd key. Leaving us with £400 pounds to pay out.

Honestly I have had the most superb experience selling my car at Motorpoint Derby. The staff were welcoming from the get go and the lady that dealt with my sale, Chloe was amazing. She put me totally at ease and explained the process of the car sale extremely clearly and well. The sale went ahead and then money was in my bank within the hour. Would re commend this company to anyone thinking of selling their car. Well done Motorpoint you have a fabulous team at Derby, and in particular Chloe 👏👏👏
