Car , Tucson Hyundai, registered 24 May 2021 and sold by motor point (for £21k) as having a manufacturer warrenty until 24 May 2026,car purchased on this basis with an extended warrenty 2026-2028 also purchased. When engine gave up in the motorway, and stranded with unwell relative for 8 hours in early May 2026,before the end of the manufacturer warrenty and before the start of extended warrenty, garage declined the repair under manufacturer warranty due to no evidence in car service book of service done after 10k miles and first one done at 21k miles by motor point only therefore sold with warrenty that was in fact void in the event of engine failure,according to garage. When we emailed and then went to see motor point, we were advised the was no customer services or manager available and the young sales person we were instead directed to could only offer to email to see if there as any record of earlier service history and suggest we contact the extended warrenty people, despite telling him the incident happened before the start of this extended warrenty sold by motor point, but within the manufacturer warrenty,assured by motor point at point of vehicle purchase was valid up to the start date of extended warrenty although they knew full well there was no stamp in the book for service done as per manufacturer guidance regarding warrenty but did not advise us this could make manufacturer warrenty void, we only found this out when garage presented us with £10k estimate to repair car as Hyundai declined warrenty due to service history. Is this award winning customer services? No manager available and no customer services available to advise or assist now they have money for car and the extended warrenty.Meanwhile the car is in Wessex garage who have said they will now charge us daily storage until moved,as well as the cost of diagnostic report, as unable to repair under warranty. Is this the award winning standard of customer service they write about on their website?

After driving around all day looking for a new car , we stumbled across motorpoint newport , they had a huge choice of low mileage car that where well presented , we spoke to the salesman , who told us they didn’t have exactly the spec we required there but they had one in the group , he let us drive one nearly the same to see if my wife was happy . She was and we arranged to get the one we wanted delivered to Newport and collected it the weekend after

Purchased a vehicle on 25 May staff went out of the way to help you on any questions I was taken to the vehicle which was my zs hybrid 2075 was shown all round the vehicle and inside demonstrates all the controls took the vehicle for test drive perfect handling a very professional service from start to finish a pleasure to do business with

Great customer service from the outset

The staff member helping was informative, he left me to browse but was available for questions. There were so many cars to choose from which was great. The service was efficient, professional and friendly and I drove away with a car the same day. It was a great car buying experience one I’d been putting off but actually if I have to do it again in the future I will use motorpoint.

Staff left you alone to look at the vehicles which was great. When you needed them, they were friendly and helpful, not pushy. I bought a vehicle which again was stress free and they made sure that I was 100% happy before I took my car home

Bought a newish car from Motorpoint, and it has no heating. They said cat had 3 months manufacturer warranty left when it had 3 weeks (approx). The manufacturer said that they can't get it in for 2 months and therefore it can't be fixed under warranty. Motorpoint are disagreeing and not responding. Poor service.

(Edit: Below they said they would respond with a resolution, but they have not contacted me. Still poor service.)

Most refreshing was the attentive and friendly staff (Chris & Jack).
There was a delay in test driving but more of a inconvenience than a failure in customer service.
Will return for future family purchases
