Sold my car to Motorpoint
Sold my car to Motorpoint. The online offer was mid range of other companies but Motorpoint stuck with the offer. I decided it would be far less hassle to visit the nearest Motorpoint depot (Portsmouth) than it would be to pursue an online auction and then have the hassle of an inspection and negotiation. This proved to be 100% correct, the staff were great, the price paid was the price quoted with no hassle. The whole process was completed in 45 minutes and the money was in the bank 15 minutes later. This was excellent compared with recent experiences with we buy any car who seem to have a policy of finding fault and reducing the offer price no matter how minor the fault.

It’s a shame motorpoint have stopped their home delivery 15 day approval service but the new car is great.

Buyer beware-scam: Truly awful service.
Truly awful service- mid sold me a car- with advertised FSH - didn’t have any therefore warranty nil and void. Lied constantly about service history, deflected, then blamed me!!! I paid a premium for the car with FSH- wouldn’t entertain or negotiate compensation or partial refund. Numerous faults from day 1.. refuse to take responsibility- final position- despite scathing independent diagnostic report!!! See you in court!! AVOID- these scam artists just reinforce the dodgy car salesmen tag.. BUYER BEWARE.

Second car from these guys, the trade in was really easy and simple. I picked the car thats suited me and was within my budget! Lovely service from all staff and I have recommended them to everyone I know! My son has a car from them too !

Its taken 8months to write this review. 8 months down the line im still more than happy with my Kodiaq...After finding my vehicle with its specs and mileage . Before buying i rang 5 skoda main dealerships around the uk and none of them could beat or match the price 🤔.... 3 of them told me to buy it. The staff are all brilliant esp Charlie. Highest quality vehicles at they wont be beaten prices. I had a minor issue which they sorted immediately. If your looking for a specific vehicle and spec. You wont go wrong....

Quality from start which continues throughout
Friendliness seemed key from the Portsmouth depot and though realise that a sales pitch means getting to know your customer relatively quickly and say the right thing, nothing felt too much from Wesley who was our Sales Executive. The depot itself was clean and fresh, though there was an issue with female/disabled toilet which required attention. My initial contact was through Tom vis on line/tele service where I also recieved quality customer service. This is the 3rd car I have acquired through Motorpoint due to both the quality of customer care and the fact the cars have never let me down, are a good quality and the extended warranty (at an extra cost as you would expect but can be added on to your finance) is extensive enough that I feel that any mechanical breakdown beyond normal wear and tear is covered and gives me peace of mind if any issues did arise.

Megan was very helpful and always friendly. I know fire safety is important but her manager should not have arranged a course for the time of the handover as it had been arranged 4 days previously. Wesley held the fort very well, however.

Motorpoint has the customer at the forefront of its operation. The staff are attentive, welcoming and have engendered the personal touch when dealing with their clients. The car was good value
Just ok
Overall it was ok but it certainly could have been better. The price match that is offered is a bit misleading as they will only price match to the exact same car (even down to the colour) and the mileage has to be within 1000. This must happen very rarely which explains why they're happy to offer it.
I was happy with the car I purchased though but I still feel it was priced slightly higher than it should have been but I needed a car and so went through with the purchase. The fuel light came on during the short test drive but I didn't think anything of it, I mentioned it when I returned and they said they could top it up before I left. Unfortunately though they had no spare fuel and were not willing to go to a local station to get some for me. They were also unwilling to give me a small amount of money back on the purchase to cover a bit of fuel. I was told their policy is to not let cars go without the fuel light being on but as it happened on the test drive that's my fault.
It's a shame as it certainly left a bad taste in the mouth and if they were really striving for great customer service then a small gesture like that would have gone a long way.
