Just exchanged contracts in preparation…

Just exchanged contracts in preparation for our first move in 25 years. The whole process which could have been very stressful for us due to our older age was made so easy by Louise Hart and the team at Moveplus.
We were kept well informed and advised at all times during the process. Louise and the team were always on hand to guide us and were very polite and patient at all times. We would highly recommend using their services for those needing a guiding hand. Thank you Moveplus.

Move plus is an excellent service and well worth having on your side when trying to move house. Jessica James who we dealt with through out was incredible, she worked so hard to help us and made the whole process so much easier and smoother. I could not recommend her or move plus more.

Not good.

This is a re-write of my earlier review which was rejected by Moveplus as they said they had not had any dealings with me. Perhaps because the email used for the review was different to the one they had on file. I emailed info at move-plus.co.uk to ask for the contact details of the managing director who rejected my review but six weeks later I have not had a response. My review relates to a house purchase which completed on 11/7/2025. Moveplus were acting for the party above me in the chain who were moving into a new build.

I found the frequent emails and voicemail messages from Moveplus to be an irritating cause of additional stress. Often messages would be left just before the office closed on a Friday afternoon so I could not respond until the following week. I also struggled to understand some of the emails from them and had to ask them to clarify what the question was.

On moving day, I spoke with the seller above me and was told that Moveplus had refused to give him my contact details when he wanted to discuss matters person to person. He also told me that Moveplus had convinced him the sale would proceed swiftly and he should resign and accept a new job in anticipation. Unfortunately the sellers then ended up in rented accommodation in another part of the country for quite some time as a result.

I had limited days on which I could move and there was a deadline for completing by a certain date. As time started running out, Moveplus asked me if I would consider moving before completion in order to reduce delays. This seemed an unwise proposal to me and I declined.

In conclusion, I would not take part in another transaction if Moveplus were involved anywhere in the chain because I found them to be an unwelcome addition to an already fraught process.

Thank you for verifying your details so we could locate your file. We are sorry to hear that you felt additional stress during your home purchase. As explained at the point of sale, this transaction required a quick exchange due to the sellers’ onward new-build purchase. This meant we needed to maintain regular communication with all parties, and we are sorry if the level or style of correspondence caused frustration.

We can confirm that at no point were the sellers advised by Move Plus, or by the solicitors, to give notice on their existing property. We would only ever recommend booking removals or making fixed arrangements once contracts have been exchanged. The sellers chose to give notice in good faith and unfortunately did so at their own risk, which led to the additional accommodation costs they incurred.

Regarding the completion date, because the sellers’ onward transaction required completion in June, we suggested a licence to occupy to accommodate both your needs and the sellers’, and to prevent them from losing their new home.
We appreciate that this is not a standard approach, but it was proposed with the intention of supporting all parties and keeping both transactions on track.

We sincerely apologise that your experience with Move Plus caused additional stress. Please be assured that throughout the process we were acting with the intention of securing a successful outcome for both you and the sellers.

I had a great experience with Aaliyah.

I had an excellent experience with Aaliyah. She made the entire process feel smooth, clear, and far less stressful than I expected. From the beginning, Aaliyah was friendly, organised, and incredibly knowledgeable, guiding me through each step with confidence and patience.
What really stood out was how proactive she was and how she kept me updated at every stage, explained anything I didn’t understand, and always made me feel supported. Her professionalism and attention to detail gave me complete peace of mind, and I genuinely felt she had my best interests at heart throughout.
If you’re looking for someone who will go above and beyond I can’t recommend Aaliyah highly enough. She truly made the experience a positive one, and I’m so grateful for all her help

Aaliyah was fantastic from start to…

Aaliyah was fantastic from start to finish and then handed us over to Brad. Her communication via email and telephone was outstanding and she supported chasing our estate agent for documents to enable our property we are purchasing to come off the market. Her customer service was second to none and it’s hard to come by these days. I can not thank her enough for the support as was a stressful time and we didn’t want to lose the property. Thanks to Aaliyah that didn’t happen and we can now relax a little. A massive thank you for all the support. A credit to your team at Move Plus.

House Sale

I was managing the sale of my sister’s house and purchase of another since the task was difficult for her. She had instructed MovePlus to sell her house and I found myself communicating with Nelle at Move Plus. It is some years since I have had to deal with such matters but she was very professional and knowledgeable. There was a little time lag between my question often left on voice mail and her answer, she was obviously busy, but each time she replied I was surprised with her work ethic, courtesy and problems solving. It was a pleasure to be on the end of such competence. Our sale has not yet completed and I suspect that she will keep an eye on this matter as we are hopeful for a successful outcome. Thank you so much Moveplus

I can't rate this company high enough. Working in conveyancing myself I know how stressful it can be. When we bought our new home I had never heard of Moveplus, but now really believe every house move should involve them! From the very beginning Aaliyah helped get things moving really quickly. She was so friendly and very efficient. As the purchase progressed we hit quite a few obstacles. We had Brad as our Sales Progressor and he was always there to help push things through. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He replied to my emails immediately and always called when he said he would, even calling late one Friday evening so as I wouldn't spend the weekend worrying. I did call him quite a lot, but never once was I made to feel a burden. I was kept updated at every stage. He was the perfect go between the two solicitors. He worked so hard to get us to the exchange point and without him I believe we would still be waiting. Thank you Brad and your colleagues for all your hard work.
