Don't ever ever ever, even by mistake choose United Movers.

Don't ever ever ever, even by mistake choose these guys.
This is for the move from Florida to Phoenix.
Sales person(Jason) do fantastic job by luring you with less quote. How do they give you less quote ? They miss out adding major components to your list and loot you at the time of pick. When they miss out Bed head/foot board that itself will cost additional 600$. In spite of telling them 3 to 4 times about head/foot board before the pick-up they had missed this entry. In fact I asked them come down and take the proper cubic feet details. The sales person on the call says their software is very good and it tries to add additional cubic feet so that customer may need not worry. I was impressed by their promise at the first time. On the day of move the driver says head/foot board of bed is not included and when I call up sales person he says that should be 7 to 8 cubic feet, should be able to take them without additional cost. I go back and check with driver, driver don't agree for it, he says it is additional 60 cubic feet and need pay additional 600$. That is one part. Now the driver asks you to pay tip of 10 to 15% of total cost of the moving, you are left with no choice, since all this is happening on the day of moving. If your total cost is around 6000 you need to pay another 600 + 600 during loading and unloading as a tip. Keep in mind they ask you to sign the documents for all this. The driver is very rude. On the day of move, they had not got enough boxes as well. And the sales person boss(Alex) is very very rude. He tries to blame you for the miss they have done.I am taking this time to help other people, please don't go with united movers.

Dear Dhanya,
We are very sorry that you went through this experience. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. We pride ourselves in provided our customers with the most competitive and fair price as possible. When this does not work out we are truly sorry. However, our system is set up in a way that the customer is responsible for checking their own inventory list so items are not forgotten or miscommunicated (and it is impossible for us to loot). Throughout the process, the customer has complete access to the inventory list to see exactly what is on it. Moreover, you can add items or take away items whenever you please. Additionally, you were contacted multiple times to read over the inventory list. Therefore, if the customer checks this, it is not possible for us to miss an entry of items in order to charge extra on moving day. Having clarified this, we have no record in the emails or telephone calls that a headboard and footboard is mentioned. Regardless, at any point you have access to the inventory list and can confirm it is there (or add it yourself) if indeed you originally meant for it to be there.
Secondly, when you requested that we come to your home and measure everything you were informed that we do not do in-house estimates (as we let all of our customers know). This is for the benefit of the customer.
Thirdly, As it was an additional 60 cubic feet, it would not have been possible for us to include it for free. Especially due to the fact that this was being resolved on the spot, which consequently delayed the schedule and kept the driver merely waiting. Indeed, any moving customer would have to charge. This amount of space takes away from other customer's space that they have accounted for in their inventory list. As you did not check your inventory list before we came, which we make easily accessible, we are not responsible for the extra charge. It was certainly not done to loot you, which again would have been impossible for us to do if you checked your list. Furthermore, we still charged you according to the flat rate that you locked in when you signed the contract. There was no additional charges. You were informed that these charges would occur if you add items on the day of your move. This was not only told to you over the phone but it is also written on the contract that you signed.
Fourthly, we apologize that a tip was requested from you, even though this is usually customary. However, to ask is unprofessional. Yet, given the circumstances the driver did go out of his away because of miscommunication. It was not mentioned to us that you would need 20 extra boxes when your move was being arranged. Our driver went out of his way to supply you with the extra boxes and resources for your items that we were not given notice about (again, which could have been avoided if the inventory list was checked). These supplies were also part of the $600 charge that is mentioned.
Once more, we apologize for any confusion or hassle you underwent. However, as it was your responsibility to check your inventory list (as was repeatedly told to you during the process) there is nothing in this review that we can be held accountable for or deserving of such a low score.
Kind regards,

Bottom line is I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Ok, I’ll split this review into two sections:
First the bad-
1. They arrived 20 minutes late on pickup day.
2. The movers worked slowly, but I had a determined price so they just prolonged their own work for the same price
Second the good-
1. No items were broken and arrived safely.
2. It was a great price and they gave me excellent discounts.
3. The customer service was friendly and professional.
Bottom line is I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The WORST - DO NOT USE

When I had booked my services, the agent, Rebekah was very friendly. I discussed
The intricacies of my move from TN to CT. She had me send over my itemized inventory that a person who had done an in-home inspected and she said she matched it up. I was told my stuff would stay on the truck for two weeks in storage while I found a new apt. I was told all of my belongings would stay in TN and then when I found an apartment to email her the address and everything should come to me within 7-10 days.

The dispatch company calls on a Wednesday to tell me they'll be there Sunday between 9-11 am. It starts getting close to 11 and I can't get in contact with the dispatch OR the moving company. No calls were being answered or voicemails returned. Finally they call and say they will be there between 2-3. When they get there, the foreman comes in and quotes me another $2,000 on top of the $2800 quote I agreed to. YES we added more stuff, which I emailed them about two days before they came (as per their instructions) and there certainly was NOT an EXTRA $2000 amount of stuff. Finally, my fiancé and I are able to stuff our cars with most of the extra stuff, making our additional cost $700. Then I am confirming with the foreman what I had been told about our stuff staying on the back of the truck and the back of the truck staying in TN and then coming up to us. Because we are doing two drop offs within CT, everything has been labeled a certain way and packed a certain way that we were told it was going to stay on the truck just as it was loaded on a specific way. Well the foreman LAUGHS at us and says OF COURSE WE WONT DO THAT! He proceeds to tell me he is on his way to VA, where he will unload our stuff into storage.

We then find an apartment and as per Rebekah's instructions, I email her with my new address. CRICKETS. I finally get in touch with dispatch who says it'll be 1-21 DAYS, NOT THE 7-10 I was promised!! Clearly I'm NOT happy. I talk to Alex, Rebekah's manager who is the MOST UNHELPFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL person I have EVER done business with. He argues with me, and finally says that because I was told 7-10 days he would talk to dispatch. I have to CONTINUOUSLY follow up with him, as he does not return emails or calls as he says he will. He calls me eventually to say it'll be 7-10 business days as discussed, and finally after contacting him TWO MORE times, he sends that over email so I have it in writing. Well, 3 days later I touch base with dispatch to see if it'll be closer to 7 or 10 business days and they say IT IS 1-21 BUSINESS DAYS! So EVERY SINGLE THING this company has told me has been a LIE and each person I speak with says something different. I still don't know IF OR WHEN my stuff will even get here and getting in touch with Alex and communicating with him is a NIGHTMARE. I will NEVER use this company again and urge EVERYONE to stay FAR FAR AWAY. With all of their hidden fees, it's costing me the same amount as the guy who actually SAW my place quoted, and I would have all my things by now had I gone with him. I chose this company because they told me they could be flexible to fit my schedule and make my life easier, but EVERYTHING about this company and service received has been HORRID. They forget about the customer as soon as they make the sale and Alex kept saying he was busy with customers when I asked him about any new information. Apparently once they make a sale you're no longer a customer to them. In fact, they can't even SEE your order once it gets sent to dispatch. This place is AWFUL. As soon as sales is done with you they ship you off and they don't communicate internally as a company. Just an absolutely AWFUL AWFUL experience. PLEASE do not use these people.

Laylabug123,
We are very sorry that you went through this experience. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. However, from our end much of what is said in this review is false and we have conversations and a signed contract to prove this. Firstly, in regards to your belongings arriving to you within 7-10 days, the original ETA was 3-10 days. After you requested our free storage service you were informed that it takes up to 21 business days for delivery. It also states this on the contract you signed. Secondly, you were charged that amount because you added over 400 cubic feet (which is equivalent to about 8 large sofas). Our policy (which we stated) is that you can add to your inventory up to 3 days before the move, otherwise it is impossible for us to secure the proper trucks for our customers and dispatch would not have enough time to organize the deliveries. The fact that you sent that much extra inventory 2 days before your move is the reason you were charged. As per our policy, we only charged you the same rate per cubic feet that is stated on your contract. We did not charge 1 cent more for the rate despite the additions being on pick-up day and 400 extra cf. Thirdly, regarding us keeping your stuff on the truck for two weeks, this was never told to you. The only way it would stay on the truck would be if it were overnight. We have all of the conversations between you and Rebekah on recording and this was never said. You were informed that your belongings will be safely stored in our warehouse until you find an apartment. Fourthly, during the days of your move your file is sent to dispatch so they can deliver your items. When you emailed Rebekah your new address, she forwarded it to dispatch and sent you an email to let you know, which you responded to saying "Thank you!". She then sent you another email with dispatch's direct phone number and telling you to contact her if there are any more issues. Despite the fact that you were breaking the contract that you signed, Alex went out of his way to try and get dispatch to delivery your items the very moment you called. As you signed the contract that stated up to 21 days, this is not something that he needed to do. Fifthly, there were no hidden fees. Everything was stated clearly on the contract (it's only a half page). It told you that you would be charged more for adding items 2 days before the move (not to mention it was 400 cf more). The fact that you did not read the contract properly before signing it or not adhering to the contract is not our fault. Again, we apologize for any confusion or hassle you underwent but there is nothing in this review that we can be held accountable for or deserving of such a low score.

Very convenient

The storage option was a big deal for me. That and the fact that they let me update the amount of stuff I had a few days before the move without fuss. It took me until the last minute to get my stuff organized.
