I ordered some plates and side plates from Mr Pottery.
I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email within minutes for a query I had about my order.
The order was placed and I received it quickly and safely.
My only problem was that I couldn't get all the plates I ordered as they were out of stock- even though they looked to be available on the website.
Overall I was pleased and would recommend Mr Pottery

The parcel was extremely well wrapped…

The parcel was extremely well wrapped and although Royal Mail had delivery problems that week it arrived in excellent condition. Good information provided by the Seller etc. A very competitive price for the item compared with other sellers.

Undelivered plate

My order was addressed to a completely erroneous post code and is still missing. When I emailed to ask 'Where is my plate?', I received no response at all.

Oh Christopher... where to start?!

To address your various points... I responded personally to both of your emails within minutes of receiving them. I note you are using one of the worst email providers known to man who are rather overzealous with their commercial email filtering so either my replies are in your spam folder or were blocked at a server level.

The first email included a tracking link and advised your address could not be resolved by Royal Mail and was being returned to us. So we asked you to confirm your address.

The second email, after you accused us of a) not replying and b) changing your postcode, explained our position, which I will summarise as follows...

The order process is an automated one. You fill in your address, you are invited to confirm your order and shipping information on the next page, and the address is received by us with your order. That is the one we print and the one sent to Royal Mail digitally. We do not go in afterwards and change addresses just to mess with people. It is possible, especially given the "erroneous postcode" was in your area, that autocorrect from your own computer or the address population tool on our website inserted the wrong postcode, but the onus is upon you to know your address and provide the correct one, not for us to magically know where you live or to call every customer to check they are competent in using an online shop.

In the same email, I also advised that at our own cost, upon safe receipt of the returned plate from Royal Mail I would resend it to the correct postcode which you kindly provided in your second email, despite it's tone and your accusations. Well... won't be doing that now will I?!

So, upon safe return of the plate by Royal Mail, from the address that YOU got wrong, we will arrange a refund of your original order and invite you to seek your replacement plates elsewhere.
