Adventures amidst the grandeur of glaciers will make climate guardians of us all. Go see them! Now. No large (or even small) cruise ship experience can match Sobek’s Alaska Glaciers & Wildlife.

Backpacking Adventure in Ansel Adams Wilderness- This was a once in a lifetime family experience to celebrate my brother's 70th birthday. It far exceeded expectations. The guides were THE BEST! Really, Zoe and Riley made us feel safe and comfortable- so caring, patient, and knowledgeable.

What an amazing place! MT Sobek's planning and execution were flawless so that, despite the physical challenges of a trek like this one, we had an incredible experience with no detail left unattended.

This was a wonderful mix of hiking and exploring historic villages and castles. Our guide Paulo and driver Filipa were superb and knowledgeable about the history and very friendly. Five stars. Recommend!

We took a private trip with Mountain Travel/Sobek to Alaska to visit Katmai, Wrangell-St. Elias and Lake Clark NP. The staff at MTS was fantastic and listened to what we desired out of the trip and did an amazing job putting together a multi experience tour to include bear watching, glacier hiking, white water rafting, kayaking, salmon fishing and hiking to remote parts of Alaska only reached by bush or float planes. It was my 15th trip with MTS since 1988 and one of the best.

Truly an incredible bucket list adventure. The Express trip is perfect for guests who cannot do the whole tour - but in my opinion get an amazing alps experience. The lodging, food and the above and beyond of the guides and the general feel of the trip is top notch!

This was a fabulous trip made extra special by the people we were with, as well as the care, planning and personalities of our amazing tour guides. Louise Russell is an outstanding leader and the affable Lizzy Mills was so helpful. It is an adventure I will treasure forever.

MT Sobek planned a wonderful custom trip to Iceland for my family. Our detailed itinerary took the guess work out of our busy days and allowed us to explore the island on our own and with small groups in a variety of adventurous activities. It was really easy to work with Lou, Mike, and Kelli. They took the time to plan a truly customized trip while keeping our budget in mind. This was definitely a "bucket list" trip, and the team at MT Sobek did an excellent job.

10/10 would recommend Idaho Middle of the Fork Salmon River trip for a group, family or solo traveler like myself! This guided trip was the perfect amount of adventure, learning and relaxation.

The MTS Alps Haute Route trekking is a quintessential Alps experience that yields an intimate view of the region, guided by experienced hikers that bring a human experience to a region of natural beauty and majesty. Arduous and exhilarating, taping one’s physicality for the mountains and small village hospitality for the soul.

Beautiful hike through the Cotswolds! Our guides, Louise and Liz, were knowledgeable, accommodating and enjoyable to hike with. Our hotels were comfortable and the food was tasty. Another hike with MTSobek is definitely in my future.

The fjords are as beautiful in real-life as in the brochures! MT Sobek's trip was a smorgasbord of Norwegian experiences that included everything from easy to moderate hikes in the mountains, to ferrying (and kayaking!) the fjords, to city tours, all the while being sustained on delicious meals along the way. The guides were from the area - and their pride and knowledge of the local area really showed. The organization was flawless, and the days flew by until it was time to head home feeling very relaxed. All vacations should be this good!

This was the trip of a lifetime! It was everything I hoped for and more!! The other guests were delightful, and the guides were excellent., the best ever! I was able to reach a real person when I called! And all emails were answered within 24 hours. Questions were answered with full and complete details. Mt. Sobek is all about service. Everyone I had contact with was happy to help make sure I had the best trip ever!

Crossing high passes from Spain into France & back was challenging but very rewarding, with spectacular views, comfortable Parador lodging, and great food.

MT Sobek gets all the details right in planning a trip. I love not thinking about tickets, tipping for services, or directions. I just get to enjoy all the best parts of traveling and none of the headaches. I would use MT Sobek again.
