I asked a friend of mine to send money through mukuru to South Africa but when the receiptent went to collect the money, she was told that we need to include both her names for her to collect the money and the person who made the transaction is not available.
The passport number is correct, the names are correct except for the fact that the second name wasn't included, now we failing to collect because of such a small mistake.

The service is extremely poor, quite dissappointed in Mukuru. After providing all the documents and information requested and no response on the email I heard to Whatsapp only to be asked can you tell us the purpose of the funds. I mean I have provided all the bank statements, payslips on their website (which already I wasn't comfortable with doing) and still I need to explain why I am sending my money. If there was anything untoward the bank would have clearly blocked the transaction, but it was approved. Their site also sets the limit to £4000 per month but still they start questioning you on your own money.
This is not the first time I had this blocking of transaction issue with them. I sent myself money when I was out of the UK to collect in Zimbabwe (we all know the cash shortage in the country) they blocked the transaction because they wanted to know why I was not in the UK, when I was returning to the UK-literally the details about that journey. Never again am I using the service

After having used a few other money transfer services, I found Mukuru. I transferred to a bank account and used the branch for pick-up as well (in Malawi). Everything went smooth and far the best exchange rates!!!

Had had an awful experience but thanks to the call from Ashleene on today's shift till 3pm I think you made my experience awesome. Was struggling to pay for my order through Ozow and was not in a space to go into a walk in shop and pay for my order but her assistance came in very handy. I was done with my order in no time.

The worst ever,come Thursday, Friday Saturday their service is very slow it's like they want us to pay them to receive our money. Chadcombe branch runs out of money all the time. OK Mart take at least 10 minutes to serve one client at a time. Very frustrating and not even funny. Either step up the game coz our peps are sending us money from diaspora. The worst service I have ever seen in my entire life. Absolute BS. Western Union is way better. I'm really f in passed off.

ORDER: #78291787, sent money to their account on 30th so they can process my transfer, their customer support told me they would release the transaction after 24 hour WHILE their website says the transaction would be canceled if not paid in 24hours. THESE MUKURU BA- STARDS END UP CANCELING my transfer after receiving my transfer. MUKURUR fukkk you and reverse my payment or process it to the receiver.

I waisted 4 hours of my day trying to get MY Money. What you're a selling is a LIE & it should be illegal to list collection places that don't exist.

Very unprofessional conduct! My order has not been released, the reason has not yet been communicated to me. All I am getting are unprofessional, rude and reckless statements that are not solving the issue at hand. As it is - the order is still unresolved and hoping to get a call back as the team that is querying the authenticity of my order does not take calls!!

I've used mukuru for more than 4 years and I'm so thankful that I haven't been completely disappointed by their service. Mukuru helps me alot both in saving and sending money. Hiccups sometimes do happen here and there but that does not define them.

My gardener has a Makura account. We paid his salary over on 28 February 2021. By 3 March he could still not access the money as the system advises the card is blocked. He went to the Makura agent in Honeydew on 3 March and advised by the afternoon it would be sorted. By 07 March he could still not access his money. I went into Makura website to have an online chat. No response and then I get a pop op to rate their service. STAY AWAY THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST BANK - YOU LOSE YOUR MONEY WITH THEM!!!!!!!

I've been meaning to make a complaint. Your cashier's/tellers have a tendency of discussing customer's. they thought I don't understand their language they think if one is a foreigner he/she can't understand their them especially the females at the branch in Newton.its not the first time they treat me that way.hope something can be done .as to who sends one money and what relations they have is totally none of their business

I have used Mukuru to send some Money to Indian Bank account.Its 7days over now but still Money nit received in Recipient account.I tried to contact Mukuru regarding my payment confirmation no one gave me proper response.They used to tell me everytime that they are waiting for payout partner feedback.see uts 7 days over but they don't have feedback from payout partner.Guys avoid Mukuru if u will stuck no one is going to help you.u will cry for your money and they won't care about ur money.order id #6982605

I created an order on the 8th of January 2022 and paid for it via eft and i didn't receive any message . I understood the fact that i did an eft on a weekend and it only reflected to them qfter the order had expired but because the money was for medical reasons i asked them to just retrieve the order since they had received the money but all the 4 agents i spoke to told me it was not possible and i had to process for a refund which would take me 5 working days and this other lady who sounded like an indian was even mean on the phone. Only today the17th of january i called again and i spoke to a guy called Tendai and it was a matter of 5 minutes the order was retrived and sent to zim ..10 days later ....please train your staff so that all of them understand how the system works

I literally only use Mukuru because my family in Zimbabwe insist on it. The service is lethargic and lacks consistency. Sometimes you get a text confirming your order has gone through sometimes you don't. Systems also don't appear to be automated, I was recently asked to verify my email address, and I was required to input a code to do this. The only catch is that, I never received the code, no matter how many times I clicked 'resend code'. All just seems stuck in the 90s when dial up was in action. Slowwwwwww....

I have had very bad service from Mukuru wallet department, from the 29th of October up to this date a simple transaction has not been made from my account to a standard bank account. horrible service I wait 3 months to get refund before,now the agent in Limpopo busy stealing our money, taking our money and no refund, and telling us he will send for us but my recipient in Nigeria is not receiving. every time he tell me is compliance rules but not give me my money back so i can send for myself, he take our moneys and promise to send and tell us to on our phones when customer service call but still nothing, we don;t hear from him and his agents

Ratintg 0/5. Total scam. Do yourself a favour by staying away from this nightmare. Perfect incompetence at its best.
1) They do not release your money transfer - evolving excuses for not releasing money to recipient
2) The money is stuck in an infinite processing stage
3) Zero coordination between call handlers
4) Easier to crack a diamond than get a refund from these scammers
5) Casually will just hang your phone calls and no sense of urgency to deal with the problems they create.
The list can go on, but I think you get my point.

NEVER AGAIN. Shocking incompetence with arrogant admin . They tell me admin struggle to open their safe so they delay already 3 hours while we sit in the sun. Seems like a Mugabe operator who try to convince you everything is ok. I think this is a scam !!! No success. Marketing scam out of Zim
