My sister sent me money from Botswana..she used the details on my asylum.when l went to collect l was told that my paper has expired..yes it expired but l am busy with the renewal and still waiting for home affairs..As per SA Home affairs every document that expired during Lockdowns it's considered as valued...l tried to contact my sister but her phones are off so that she can resend to someone who can collect for me..l need the money ..l am desperate have to pay my shack rentals..my question is Why are you guys worried much about our expire dates of ID,passports and Asylum...worse during this pandemic ..worst part we are in foreign lands trying some living..When l am posting money you guys don't care about expire dates of our papers ..eshhh l am worried..the landlord is on my neck...

I’ve done 4 transactions and all of them get stuck on the processing step. I always have to send chats to your agents and ask them to request your reviews team to processing my transaction (Only then I’m told to resend my ID) and after 3 hours my transaction is released.IVE UPLOADED AND EMAILED MY ID MORE THAN 10 TIMES. I went to my home country (Zimbabwe) from South Africa so I sent myself some money using mukuru. I waited 3 and half hours on the line. The queue was long so I thought it was understandable. When I got closer to the entrance I saw 2 cashiers sunbathing. I finally got inside and got to the counter, the cashiers were busy with watsapp chatting and she ignored me while I waited for assistance. I never knew each time I sent money to my mother with mukuru I was punishing her like that. It's really torturing. The service is so bad in Harare at corner Robert Mugabe and 2nd street. The cashier who served me didn't care. I even recorded her ignoring me while on watsapp.
I even sent messages to the complain lines but no response. I wonder.

I sent money to my cousin and when she went to collect the money at Hilbrow they told her there was an error. They claimed to have sent worldremit an email. I called western union USA to find out what this error was about and they told me that there was no error and they sent Mukuru an email, i should also mention that western union did not find this alleged email sent by mkuru. A day later i receive an email that my cousin has collected the money. I call my cousin and ask her how they solved the "error" problem, she told me that she was still at work and had noy gone to mukuru to collect the money. Iam fuckn pissed off, Mukuru employees are a bunch of thieves. I will writw my review every where, i will make a youtube video, i will create a viral post on facebook warning everyone about this scam of a company. I will drag you guys to the pits. You think you can just steal my money. You do not even deserve 1star.

Support staff are perfectly courteous on the phone, however I have with the process and ultimately they ended up being totally unhelpful. I made 2 unsuccessful debit card payments for a single transfer to Zimbabwe before the long weekend. Mukuru support said this was a bank issue. They then said the card is not 3D cleared. This is factually incorrect. The bank confirmed it was 3D cleared and that 2 pending transactions for the same transfer existed with Mukuru. It turns out the "failed" payments actually reached Mukuru that they held them for over 3 hours before cancelling them. I had to resort to a bank transfer which meant the recipient wasn't be able to access the cash until after the long weekend.
So to sum up payment by debit card issue flagged up as failed when the money reached Mukuru.
So much for doing a quick transfer. Lots of time spent on the phone. Today inadequately dealt with.

Beware! Shocking. Sent cash from the UK to help my cousin with her wedding. Specifically opted for cash pickup. Confirmation simply said she needed ID and confirmation number. When she arrived at Albany Rd Port Elizabeth they said “they don’t do international transfers”. Then said she would have to open an account. Then said it would take 24h and she would have to come back tomorrow, and told her she would need to get the money on a card as they don’t have cash. And there would be a charge for the card!
Pathetic, terrible service. Cancelled order and sent to her bank instead. Definitely won’t use again.

Mukuru Yeoville is a shocker. I witnessed first hand tellers on their phones while servicing customers.
As If that’s not enough the cashiers are involved in some form of fraud on cash transactions through a counting trick scam. I went in today and was served by a lady named Salome. At first she sent me away to get a proof of residence which was not written as a requirement in the SMS.
On my return she separated my money into two batches. She counted the first amount in front of me and then handed me the second batch to count for myself. As I focused on counting she took R1000 from the first batch and then put the money together and handed it to me R1000 short. When I came back to complain they first locked the door and then when they opened they were very aggressive for no reason. Unacceptable for an FSP and ruining WorldRemit reputation. PLEASE STAY AWAY

I have had the worst experience with mukuru i wouldnt recommend them at all. Only one branch the whole of durban and worst part it close at 4.15. Most people finish work at 4 imagine having to drive a long distance to reach there in 15 mins, impossible. And the tellers there are very rude, they dont great you, and the attitide is pathetic. I called them and i was told there close at 5 and i drove there to at 4 and arrive 4.30 only to be told we are closed. I asked if i may ask for the required requirements but they said no we are closed. Drove back friday noon only to be told i didnt have all the required docs.
1.May you please increase ur business hrs to at least 5pm.
2. Please add more branches or patner with major bank so we can have options to transfer our money into your bank account
3. The location of the only branch in Durban is an unsafe area. Imagine walking out of there with a huge sum of money and walk straight into these homeless vultures ready to grab your bag.

Mukuru Yeoville branch needs to be checked. Cashiers get busy on whatsapp while serving customers or receive personal calls while they jus let you sit there waiting for them to finish giggling on calls. Ques are not long but you can wait up to 2to3 hours to get inside. No respect for customers.

Mukuru needs to improve their service, if one has an emergency a person can die with them holding your money. The branch at the point in Durban is the worst, when you send a message with the collection code to save time you should list all documents you require for you to collect. The service is highly pathetic I would not recommend it to anyone. They need competition and maybe they will wake up. Why do you accept the transfer someone makes just for you to hold the money and not give it to the recipient. Pathetic!
