Beware Authors: Murf will force you into a paid plan immediately, and does not disclose that it has a naughty word filter that disables everything. Trying to hear how your work sounds? Well one word Murf doesn't like in a work of literary fiction and the whole thing is toast. I used it for 20 minutes, downloaded nothing, and could not hear ANYTHING and they wanted to tell me that I wasn't eligible for a refund. Only when I told them I would dispute the charges with AMEX did they agree to refund.

Their customer service is terrible; they simply do not care about customers retention and even encourage you to leave if you're not happy with the services, especially if they already took your money. I would suggest you spend your money elsewhere.

I like the quality of the voices that Murf.ai generates, I can manage projects and select different voice types using the same text.

The only bad thing is the price, even when the software works well, the price is so high and only allow couple of hours of voce generation unless you pay 4 times more than the other voice generation apps.

Pricing plan is a scam. The features they emphasize, number of voices etc are basically irrelevant, you end up using just one or two. The meat of it is that all plans limit the amount of voice generation you get per month. It is a far too little (4 hours in Pro plan) to get any consequential amount of work done. Each simple change you make, like adding a comma requires you regenerate the voice and reduces your quota. Other ai text to voice have no such limits or much bigger ones. You have no control over the efficiency of the generation you just get dinged. Once you run out, which you will do well before your month is up, you can only pay for another user to get more generation time. IMO a total rip off.

I recently tried using murf.ai, and I have to say I am very disappointed. In my ten-minute free trial, the demo voice they provide (for the voice called Adam) is very good, even when you put your own text into it! But it's not even close to the voice you get when you pay $40 a month for the premium version (four hours a month). It's a complete scam!

I was excited to use this service, but as soon as I paid lots of money to use it, I knew it was a scam. Adam's actual 'voice' when you put your own text into it (on the premium plan; on the demo, it sounded perfect) sounded very different to the demo voice. The demo voice was a real person; after you give them money they just use a random skidded robotic voice.

I wasted my time and money on this service. I would not recommend murf.ai to anyone looking for a high-quality voice service. Don't be fooled by their demo voice, even when you put your own text into it; it's not even close to what you'll actually get. Stay away from this scam!

Poor quality of product different outcome each time

Do your own research and actually read what you're getting... Looking the recent reviews, people obviously do not know how to purchase a monthly subscription.. OR even how to sign up for their FREE PLAN! It's quite clear to me looking at their pricing information - so I have no clue why people cant figure out their pricing.... I have an online course and have been using this program for all of the audio without any issues at all.

I tried the free version first, I was not a fan of the free voices, but they do allow you to listen to the paid voices (pro plan) - and I decided to go with that. It is CHEAP if you consider everything you get.. $39 / month at the time of writing this review. The program does exactly what I need it to do, text to audio - I still couldn't find the right voice for my project, however, the program allows you to modify the pitch and speed of reading - so with that, I was able to achieve my goal. The pro plan also offers video transcriptions which is great - for me, it means I can eliminate the use of another program, so this saves me money.

Support is responsive and they read your emails, unlike many other programs these days. I had a question and they answered my email within a day. Actually, their prompt customer service is the reason why I decided to write this review... Quite happy so far, and will definitely continue to use this program!

The product is poor. The 200 euro plan gives access to only 3 voices in Italian. Plus, the performances are awful as the vocals don't accentuate well. If you add emphasis, the product distorts. No offense, but you're selling a product, at a high price, and without giving people a chance to try it out in enough time to figure out if it's the right product, performing as well as it needs to meet expectations.
No refund at all.
Hope you will change your product first and you company policy then, or difficult times await you

Nonsense...simply nonsense customer support

Beware, unfriendly refund policy. I paid for a subscription but was not able to use the service due to another project that came up. I canceled the service, but would likely come back later when I had time to use it. I asked for a refund because I never used the service. They refused stating their "policy" and that I had somehow used 10min of audio while testing? I will now never use their service. I will be using a competitor instead.

They have a free option but it is disappointing. Somehow I used up the 10 minutes of voice generation before I could even finish the video. 10 mins of voice generation and 10 mins of transcription and thats it. No way to get more free credits this month, next month or ever unless you subscribe to a plan. I was really hopeful for this one but since the time was gone so quickly, I can easily see running out of time after just a few videos, even with the paid plan...I found that Movio seems to be a bit better and at least I was able to use the credit I had and finish the free video. I will get another credit next month. After I finish my research, I believe I will likely go with Movio. It has a familiar feel to it (Canva) and since I am familiar with Canva, their interface was very easy to use.

Murf is good, very good, BUT the price for the 'voice time' that you get is not good value. There used to be a 'one time' pack, where you paid for one off usage.
They have removed this in favour of expensive plans.

The pricing structure needs to be reworked and made more attractive, competitive and most of all cheaper.

For what I pay for 24 hours of voice time I can get a better deal with a REAL voice on a site like Fiverr.com

I used Murf Text to speech tool for adding voiceovers to marketing videos and presentations. They have a free plan which I tested and I was amazed at the quality of the voices and easy-to-use UI of the TTS editor. I purchased a plan for my official use and now I stick to Murf for any AI voiceover requirements.
