The MuscleSquad App is THE BEST THING…
The MuscleSquad App is THE BEST THING that's happened since I re-started weight training about 10-months ago. Years ago, I trained with another guy - and it wasn't until I started using the MuscleSquad App that I realised how much I missed having a training partner. Thanks to the App, I'm now training in a structured way, logging what exercises I'm doing (and weights lifted), and training more regularly (it's not that I've not wanted to train - I certainly have - but the fact that my training is now diarised on the App, means that I'm actually doing the workouts / looking forward to doing them / getting much more enjoyment out of training).
The standard App only allows you to set up 3 routines and view progress (analytics) over the previous 30 days. If you upgrade to the premium option, you can set up unlimited routines, make notes in the App regarding each exercise (equipment used - e.g. axle bar / EZ bar / hex bar) and view progress (analytics) over the previous year. I'm sure that there are a lot more benefits to the MuscleSquad App, which I've yet to discover - but the great thing is that it's given me a virtual training partner, massively increased the pleasure of training (which I didn't think was possible) and incentivised me to train consistently.
Cam (the chap who provides on-line support) is incredibly helpful and encouraging. He's really quick to respond to any questions and offer advice. MuscleSquad also send out regular training emails, which I'm finding really helpful.
If you want to progress with your fitness journey, Cam and the team at the MuscleSquad will do their utmost (through the App) to help and encourage you. I can't recommend the MuscleSquad App enough!

Ordering the gym kit online was easy.....
Ordering the gym kit online was easy but the contact from MuscleSquad unfortunately was very poor. I received no email receipt and no contact date for delivery. I had to contact the customer service department and arrange a delivery date. Because I used the finance option that was the only correspondence I had and proof of payment. MuscleSquad you need to seriously look at the first contact details. I haven't set the equipment up yet, I'm hoping I don't need support or its going to be super painful. I'm adding to the review- Sharna from MuscleSquad called me with concerns about my review and assured me that if I had any issues they would sort them out for me. I'm pleased to say I set up my Smith rack over the weekend and all went together really well. So still 3 stars for the initial review but the quality of the machine is 5 out 5.

I purchased the hex dumbbells and…
I purchased the hex dumbbells and although they’re fine, the colour on the dumbbell ends was not completely dry and left black marks all over my hands. The Muscle Squad team addressed the issue which is down to the protective silicone rubbing off during transit- it has been hot! However I can confirm the product performance is not impacted and I’m happy with the purchase also, that they addressed my concern!
Delivery and process of purchasing was all fine.

Hi Hasumati,
What you're experiencing is usually caused by a small amount of silicone oil that has worn away during transit or handling. We apply this to the rubber heads during manufacturing to help protect the finish and keep the rubber looking deep black. If some of it has rubbed off, the surface can appear a little dry and may leave some black residue initially.
The good news is that this is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect the quality or performance of the dumbbells. Simply applying a small amount of silicone oil to a clean cloth and wiping over the rubber ends will restore the rich black finish and stop the residue transferring to your hands.

Ungrippable Tri Grip Discs
The product was described as a tri grip weights 2x2.5kg . However the small diameter of the weight means that you would have to have a 5 yr old's fingers to hold them using the tri grips. Adults have to hold them by the rim. Cheap but not suitable for hand held exercises.

It's worth noting that 1.25kg and 2.5kg weight plates are typically quite small in diameter, and many tri-grip ranges do not include grip holes in these lighter weights because there isn't enough space to create larger handholds. As these plates are relatively light, the grip openings on smaller sizes will naturally be more compact than those found on heavier plates.
We appreciate that hand size can affect how comfortable the grip holes feel during certain exercises, and your comments are valuable. We will share your feedback with our product team for consideration.

Great trap bar
This is a brilliant open backed trap bar. The knurling on the handles is fantastic, the weight of the bar is solid and just feels like a really good bit of kit

Heavy-duty and durable product.
The Muscle Squad team has recently installed my smith machine upgrade pack and Phase 4 multifunctional squat rack. The wait for the upgrade pack though long, was worth it.
