My regular mechanic place to get my car serviced and other services. The process was very easy from booking online to completing my service. Worker there are very nice and accomodating, making sure your car is in good conditions. Highly would recommend this place

Fourth time I've used their services…

Fourth time I've used their services for routine logbook car service. Very convenient for me that they're open on Saturdays as I work during the week. Easy booking process online and at a great affordable price with great specials, that are sent via email promotions. Quick turnaround from drop off to pick up, dropped car off at 8 and they called at 1200 for me to pick up. Great location in the heart of Fairfield so while your waiting can do a grocery shop, get haircut, cafes, retail therapy etc. the work done on car must be good because I've had no car issues in the 4 years I've had my car serviced here and car runs like a dream. They also send you a report with works done, and comments on what will need to be done in near future and a certified stamp in your logbook. All in all would highly recommend this place.

Untrustworthy

Hi all, I would like to make a few comments regarding MyCar at Fairfield. I hope this will give you some ideas of what this business is about so you can make an informed choice.

As you would know, this business used to run by Kmart and I had a very good relationship with them. In addition, the place was busy with many cars and by extension customers. Ever since MyCar took over, this relationship took a different turn.

The first question comes down to whether I would trust the people who work here after what happened and the experience that I had with them. The answer is definitely no. To demonstrate the point, for the last two times that I took my car to service with MyCar Fairfield, I asked for a specific service and for them not to call me while I’m at work. It follows that when I come to pick up my car, I can talk and have a look at the report. Needless to say, they don’t care for that so they called me anyway. They became pushy right from the start of the conversation with the goal of trying to get me to agree to let them do things to my car. Not to mention they gave me a bulk figure of how much it cost but refused to give me a break down of what they are. When I asked if I could think about it, their tone of voice changed drastically. Think of 180 turn for lack of a better word. Consequently, they started to patronise me and insinuate that I don’t care for my car. Why don’t I just ask you guys the readers that between they and I, logically, who do you think care more for my car. And if you’re still unsure at this point then I’m going to ask you another question, between they and I, who do you think would spend money on my car. By the end of the conversation, and after realising how these people presenting themselves, my stomach started to churn. I was so anxious and worried that something bad would happen to my car. So then I came to pick up my car only to learn that the air conditioning stopped working as soon as I got my car out. I said stopped because it was working perfectly fine when I handed in my car. Last year it was the battery. So there is a pattern and I’ll let you do the math. Also the person whom I have been referring to as they, has a name started with H.

I work 7 days a week because there is a reason for me to do that. And now I am without the air conditioning and eventually money because I will have to get it sorted. This means that the longer I go without getting it sorted, the longer I have to bear the heat. And you know what it’s like in this heat especially for a car without air conditioning. I know that I’m probably still luckier than many people. However, just because I am conscious of that doesn’t mean what happened was okay. I mean I can understand if this happens to a cruel and mean person but to have a nice and reasonable person to have to experience this is just deplorable.

Further, I have learned that they have veracity problems. For example, on the day I picked up my car, they said a particular light was on. I was surprised because when I handed in my car, it wasn’t on. In addition, it shouldn’t be on because I had it taken care from the last visit. In spite of that, this person (who I would say is a right-handed man of H) who repeats what H said like a parrot insisting that it still on without blinking his eyes. When I go to the car to check, that particular light was not on. They also mentioned another thing which needs to be replaced. At this point, I thought to myself, it can’t be it because it is a minor thing that I actually did it myself. It shows and demonstrates that these people are very casual with their words. When someone who is very casual with their words they are not necessarily telling the truth. As such, they are not necessarily honourable people. I don’t believe that these people are conscious of the fact that their words mean nothing to them.

To conclude, I would not bring my car back here again for a service.

The staff was professional

The staff was professional, explained everything clearly, and completed the service on time. I appreciate the transparency and efficiency — will definitely be back for future maintenance.

Transparent and efficient.

Got a log book service Friday 6th Feb - Very helpful, transparent and fast.

There was a mix up with my booking dates, where their system was showing I was a day late (booked in for the 5th). They were fully booked the day I went in, however they took my car considering the dilemma. Dropped my car 8:30am and picked it up around 2pm. Thank you!

They had my car since 8am this morning…

They had my car since 8am this morning asked for a quote & if they could fix the problem on my aircon only to get it regassed and some other stuff but did not FIX the problem ? Texted saying the car was ready at going onto 4pm. They had my car for almost 8 hours just to get it back with nothing being fixed. I was willing to pay for whatever they could do to fix the problem with my aircon but no….
