I wish that i had spoken to the team at My Car Import first as it would of saved a lot of sleepless nights and headaches. They managed to really simplify the whole process as i had been told previously by another import company that it would be really hard/impossible to register my Japanese imported Alfa Romeo, which meant having to try and source all the information and dealing with the DVSA myself which was just going nowhere. A call to these guys and within the space of a couple of weeks my car has been tested/passed and registered. I was given multiple test dates to chose from and was able to wait whilst the test was done. All the staff have been very helpful and a great credit to the company. I would highly recommend anybody looking to import a vehicle to give this company a call first, if they say they can do it then they will.

The best one stop shop for car import
I have recently imported a Tesla MX from HK to UK starting beginning of May. I have arranged my own shipping and it was complicated process to start with and was very frustrated in the beginning. Once the car arrived in the UK, I have been searching for multiple car import companies in the UK and finally found MyCarImport to be one to go for. Although slightly more expensive than others but the service and most importantly they have their own test sites therefore things got expedited. Besides, car transport insurance all covered versus other companies where I have to arrange my own insurnce during transport. It's much easier to go with MyCarImport and the portal is very easy to use and responses are quick. Definitely a recommendation over others!

Overall great service
Overall great service, with the guys helping and directing, with clear costs and time frame. They handled everything. The only downside it's when you try to reach them, it can be quite a challenge but i would recommend them again.

Excellent service from start to handover
Imported my car from Australia which is never straightforward but My Car Import were thoroughly professional, and always proactive and responsive in keeping me well informed. I would not hesitate to recommend them. If you are importing your car do make sure you get as many records as you can from the country you are leaving- DVLA is the choke point in the pipeline!

Importing a car from Ireland
My Car Import were very helpful and explained the process clearly and concisely. Their website is easy to use as is the process for getting your car imported. Their staff are responsive to emails and will guide you through the process. I would gladly recommend them to anyone bringing a car into the UK. They did advise that the Transfer of Residence was the longest part of the process which was correct. I would start this as soon as possible.

Great experience importing an inherited car!
James was great, replies were quick and easy to understand. The import process was made so much easier than I could have imagined, took around two months as we ran into a few issues but I was always updated straight away, I had no clue where to start as the car was inherited. Overall was a 10/10 experience!

Warning to all
It all started well with planning a car shipment from Australia to the UK. It soon started to unravel when different quotes and costs started being discussed that didn’t match their online portal. That should have been the red flag.
Once the company had the car communication stopped, responses were few are far between and the delays to the shipment kept going up and up. We are past days and weeks and are into months delays.
They seem to have selected the cheapest route possible that has been delayed at each port it has stopped. Often by weeks.
Extremely poor customer service with very unprofessional staff (Will). Still waiting for our car

A Happy Customer
This company took all the tedium out of a complex import. Everything was handled professionally and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The "Portal" can be difficult to understand at times but that's no reflection on SMC. I have found portals to be robotic in other cases. I found the shipping lines tracking and an App named Marine Traffic excellent allowing me to watch the journey on the high seas at all times. If I ever import another vehicle I will certainly use SMC again. Thank you to all the staff involved and a special thank you to Nathan in the US who went above and beyond at every turn.
