Zing Health was founded in 2019 by two African American physician entrepreneurs, Eric E. Whitaker, MD, MPH, and Kenneth Alleyne, MD, along with co-founders Health2047 and healthcare executive Garfield Collins, to address inadequacies in the healthcare system by creating collaborative, community-based Medicare Advantage plans.
By extending 21st century health service solutions built around community, Zing Health seeks to drastically improve health outcomes in diverse populations that have been chronically underserved. Given that 80 percent of clinical outcomes are attributable to social determinants of health, Zing Health’s unique approach acknowledges the importance of understanding a patient’s circumstances outside of a clinical setting and offers a strategic, tech-enabled model that can scale to match the size of the problem.
In 2020, Zing Health served Medicare beneficiaries in Cook County, Illinois. Today, Zing serves an expanded service area encompassing counties in Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana. In 2024, Zing Health will begin offering new plan types as well as enhancements to existing plans.
Our Mission
Zing Health has a singular mission: Providing managed care Medicare Advantage plans that address social determinants of health to reduce healthcare disparities among historically underserved populations. Zing’s plans integrate Medicare Parts A and B benefits with Part D prescription drug coverage, along with providing robust extra benefits.

The pamphlet about explaining doesn’t explain much like how where you can spend your snap benefit, including over-the-counter stuff speaking to someone that can understand and speak well enough to understand. Most recall Center are people not being rude either don’t understand or just keep repeating the same verse over and over because they cannot speak language well have a number to call to speak to a representative. Not their call Center have issues getting my medication delivered correctly and then Time the representative that helped me get seen. I called them with an issue about my prescriptions and he just gave me attitude, but that is supposed to be taken care of just explained more about what Zing about and become more helpful have representatives understand speak well they’re more helpful please again not being rude. Thank you.

Most of the Zing experiences were really GOOD.
Only exception was the virtual and in person home health check ups. Redundant calls, poor communication within Zing and with it's supporting services. Failed technology during virtual visits as well. Very frustrating for me as caregiver and made my wife, the patient, very angry at times. Takes a lot to make her angry.

Listen, the employees only repeat information without taking real situations and take consideration of the circumstances and real issues of the patients. The company’s or vendors that they used not deliver in a timely manner the benefits causing dangerous results to the members of your plan, not wheeling to accommodate needs of the chronically ill members. 🥹
