Great value great customer service

Product was exactly as expected. Crew, from Edison Flooring, showed up exactly on time. Job was completed on time and clean-up was excellent.

Instead of fixing serious safety hazards and damage they caused in our home, National Floors Direct chose to threaten us and attempt to bribe us with Amazon gift cards to remove our honest review.

Our experience with National Floors Direct has been extremely frustrating and misleading from start to finish (still not complete). Their sales process relies on high-pressure tactics and “limited-time” discounts to push you into signing quickly. We signed on March 14, 2026, and once the contract was in place, the promises no longer seemed to matter.

Our installation was confirmed multiple times for March 30. We took time off work and prepared our home, only for them to cancel at the last minute. It was rescheduled to April 2, forcing us to take more time off.

On April 2, the installers arrived very late despite an 8 AM promise upon reschedule. Shortly after arriving, the main installer left for several hours, leaving one worker to handle a five-room job and staircase. When he returned, they rushed to finish well past the guaranteed completion time, resulting in poor workmanship, damage to our home, and an incomplete job.

They left nails and staples exposed all over our staircase, creating a serious safety hazard for our small children and pets, and left large piles of trash in our driveway despite being contractually obligated to remove it. During the installation, the crew repeatedly told us they were subcontractors and that the issues were “not their problem”—directly contradicting what we were told during the sales process, where we were assured subcontractors would not be used.

After hours of being belittled and misled on the phone by a “manager” named Doreen, the company sent the same installer back on April 8. He arrived defensive, argued throughout the visit, and repeatedly called us “crazy” for questioning the work before storming out without resolving our biggest concern, safety with our staircase.

The workmanship issues remain significant. In the master bedroom, the carpet was originally cut too short and “fixed” by gluing a 1.5-inch strip and stapling another piece on top, leaving uneven, peeling seams. In the family room, there is a large, highly visible “T” seam placed in the middle of the space. The installer blamed us, claiming we should have paid more for additional materials—despite us paying the quoted amount, suggesting they under-ordered and pieced together scraps.

Additionally, the salesperson admitted they failed to include our staircase measurements, which is why the stairs were left unfinished with exposed nails and staples for over a week, with no clear resolution or accountability.

We have extensive photo evidence of all issues, yet National Floors Direct continues to side with the installer—who is neither an employee nor the certified professional we were promised.

At this point, we have lost work time for three full workdays and will likely lose at least two more trying to resolve this not to forget the hours on the phone trying to just get what we ordered and proper installation. Communication has gone from overly aggressive during the sales process to dismissive and unhelpful afterward. We have received no apology, no compensation, and no accountability.

This experience has caused major disruption to our home and family. National Floors Direct uses high-pressure sales tactics but does not stand behind its work.

We strongly discourage anyone from using them.

NFD absolutely attemptember to offer my gift cards in exchange for removing my truthful negative review. If the recorded calls were reviewed, anyone listening could clearly hear that.

Their response also contradicts what I was told during the sales process. Their salesperson repeatedly emphasized that they do not use subcontractors, presenting it as a major advantage over one of their biggest competitors. That statement was made multiple times during the sales presentation.

As for the installation itself, it was nothing short of a nightmare. My installation was rescheduled multiple times with little notice. My home was damaged during the process. My staircase was left in an unsafe condition for more than a week with exposed nails and staples sticking out. The project was mismeasured, materials were misordered, and the crew had to return multiple times to correct mistakes that should have never have happened in the first place.

The entire experience was stressful, incredibly time consuming, and completely avoidable. My review reflects my actual experience, and I highly recommend that anyone considering National Floors Direct proceed with extreme caution or look elsewhere.

The installer showed up right on time was quick and efficient cleaned up after himself and did a great job.

The purchase initially started to go wrong. The first sales man was nice enough but didn’t follow through. However, when I contacted the regional sales manager, he insured that the price we were quoted would be honored. He sent a second sales person who confirmed all of the measurements and arranged for installation. The installation team was just as professional, confirming our product selection and worked diligently and expediently with the installation. I would definitely recommend your service in the future.

National Floors Direct made the whole process for flooring replacement easy and stress free. All the personnel involved were very professional with outstanding communication providing superior customer service. The Flooring Specialist listened to our needs, offered helpful recommendations, and surpassed our expectations. The new flooring cost less than expected, was installed on our time schedule, and very professionally accomplished. The installation team was on time and stayed extra to finish the job so they would finish ahead of schedule. The installation was flawless and the installation team ensured everything was done to our satisfaction. I also received follow-up communications throughout the process and after the installation from the Regional Manager to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, which is above and beyond any expectations. The flooring product and appearance is outstanding. I received a gift card for my time in posting this honest review.

They were fast, quiet, and appeared to know their job well. Honestly it is hard when they do not speak English well or depend on each other for translation. Again they did their job well. Lastly when they did there job they needed to remove part of the wooden running board to the door and it is a drop / additional height for the wheelchair . I do wish they consulted on removal.

The Sales man was honest and polite. They guys who installed showed up on time and cleaned up after. The carpet is great quality for a great price. We are very happy.
