Did fall into some problems but with the assistance of Omar and a girl name Asorh ( i know i spelt that wrong sorry) i was able to withdraw my child trust fund, very happy with how they both helped and glad i spoke to them.
Terrible!
Terrible!! My sons 19 next month and has been trying to withdraw his ctf into a natwest account for ages. He'd legally changed his name via deed pole and although they'll write to him in his correct name, they refused his bank account (also in the same name) because it didnt match their online records.. theyd somehow changed his name back to his birth name but letters were still addressed correctly?? Seems like they just like to hold onto money stuck in limbo because his balance says zero as they've said theyre now trying to approve his bank details even though they've been sent a downloaded pdf bank statement showing everything they need. Absolutely shocking. Still waiting for it to be approved!!
So disappointed with NatWest
So disappointed with NatWest. My son turned 18 at the end of last year and has still not been ‘verified’ to withdraw his funds. He has been in our local branch a few times, has called the helpline a few times and every single time they tell him something different. They really need to review their process. I can see from this site that poor customer service and frustrating experiences have been prevalent for years. Disappointing
Totally useless was given wrong…
Totally useless was given wrong information on the phone(child trust fund) uploaded all documents including letter to say he wanted to withdraw it and bank details 8 days later received letter to say can't be verified even though every company in the country can verify you with your driving licence and bank statement sent it all off again nearly 3 weeks later hadn't heard anything rung them was told they hadn't received the letter to say he wanted to withdraw it and bank details (if that was the case why didn't they contact us) even though I sent it a month before but tried to say I was lying was told it will take another 10-18 days I don't think so all the mistakes have been down to natwest if my son has not received it in the next week I will be taking things further reading the reviews nothing has changed in 5 years.
Absolutely ridiculous service
Absolutely ridiculous service. Upon my child reaching 18 she tried to withdraw her funds. Her bank details could not be verified online so we had to send off passport and bank statement. A few weeks went by with no update from Natwest. We phoned and still they could not verify her bank over the phone. It then had to be passed to someone to verify and this will take another 5 days. Having read the reviews, most people are having problems with their details being verified. So it was completely useless sending off official documents and very time wasting. I am glad I have my other child's trust fund with a different provider.

What a stressful process dealing with these people and this app 😡😡
If you’re thinking of using them……DON’T!
My granddaughter’s trustfund matured on 22nd November and she logged in to the ‘online portal’ to arrange to get the funds transferred to her Nationwide Savings account. The whole experience has been nothing short of appalling. The website was constantly coming up with error messages when she was trying to upload evidence of identity. After a couple of hours, and a lot of frustration, she managed to get it done. Fast forward to the 29th November and she received FOUR letters from them, all with conflicting information, but one telling her she had to log onto the portal to give instructions what to with her money, despite having given her instructions and savings account derails a week earlier. She duly logged on and was unable to do anything! On Monday 1st December she rang them to say she was confused by all the conflicting info in the FOUR letters, and what did they want as she’d already given instructions? Then they came with they couldn’t verify her account (she’d uploaded a statement), yet when I want to pay someone new, I can put their details into my online banking app and instantly verify those details. Surely banks have an even more advanced version of this that they use themselves? Next they came with a cheque had been sent out on Thursday by first class post, as this was on the following Monday, we’d had 3 postal deliveries by then and no cheque. It arrived yesterday (Thursday). To say we’re relieved to be done with NatWest is an understatement! Interestingly, my granddaughter’s friends didn’t experience any if these problems when their trustfunds matured with other providers…………speaks volumes doesn’t it!

Quite possibly THE worst website we’ve ever experienced! It simply DOES NOT WORK! Impossible to carry out the most simplistic of instructions, 2 years and still ongoing to release funds. Repeated error messages and the same non informative nonsense sent through the post about 26 times!!!! Sort it out NatWest! Totally UNACCEPTABLE
Terrible online portal
Terrible online portal
Attempting to log in, I'm asked to change my password. Website just gets stuck in a 'wrong password' loop. Completely unable to access my account and support is unavailable on a weekend.
Mixed feelings and below average performance
Although NatWest has helped me earn some money over the years on an ISA, I've got to say that overall the experience was dissapointing, especially on closing of the account. I was not asked whether I wanted to be paid by cash or cheque and so a cheque was sent which I had to cancel and reapply for a wire transfer.
On chasing this up the staff seemed to be confused as to the exact whereabouts of my money or the time frame in which it would reach my bank account which was worrying.
Overall in terms of valuations etc, they have been OK.
As most others write the online portall is very average.
The fund as a whole was not performing as well as my other ISA's in the last few years.
So all in all a C- effort from NatWest.
Trying to transfer my daughters child…
Trying to transfer my daughters child trust fund from NatWest fund to NatWest bank account. The online process is terrible to navigate with cookie messages across the input line and error messages when finally managed to upload something. Then days later a phone call to say it needs uploading as a document instead, then queries over our address as we have a number and house name! Each time we wait 5 days for the next stage in the process. Crazy. I’m ready to close all my NatWest accounts if they can’t sort it out.
I have been at this for weeks now
I have been at this for weeks now, just trying to get my money out. I sent all the papers they asked for, was told over the phone that everything was verified and the money would be in my account. Checked, and nothing. Now they said I have failed security questions though I have answered them every time.
Found what actually works for me.Century100 has been precise. My earning and pay out always come through.
Helpful Friendly Service again
Another day, another half dozen probate-related communications with various agencies including Collective Investments (hope I’m on the right page…)
This time a thankyou to Dylan for his exemplary customer service too. I hope this feedback is escalated up the line to his supervisor.
awful bank
i tried to withdraw my MCTF money for two weeks now, currently there's a repurchase transaction that has been there for two weeks now and still nothing, i couldn't even use my account number which i wanted to send the money to. I can't use the site as it throws errors left and right. Worst banking experience ever.
Sounds like the crime and dishonesty in the banks are acceptable
This is a horror story about the bank called NATWEST.
The bank has no written policy, but “Stealing, robbing, lying, twisting” are the main rules that certain employees openly practice.
Everything they do is done openly and confidently because they have a complaint team that, after conducting an investigation, justifies whatever they do.
I have many facts but I try to introduce them generally.
1. They have a system of the customer's account that easily they can move and change figures, add or minus different figures to get the desired total after stealing their preferred amount from the customer account.
2. Customer credits from their account disappear straight away. They openly say lies to justify stealing. No shame, no dignity. Surprisingly so cold investigator of the case justifies and covers up the theft treating the customer as stupid.
I credited from the post office £ 200.00 disappeared,
£ 150.00 showed only £100.00. I showed it to the post office man who did the transaction.
£300.00 I credited in the Ipswich branch never appeared in my account. The person who did the transaction at the bank couldn't believe that the amount didn't show in my account. I showed her my account after two days.
3. Staff can use a credit card, shop from Amazon as an unknown transaction then approve themselves and insist the customer pay the bill otherwise, they will be downgraded credit score. Exact experience I have for £129.00.
Eventually they cleared the case, but recently I received an email from Northwest credit card they harassed me if I don’t pay the amount they will downgrade my credit score although I left the bank manths ago.
This is out of imagination.
4. They didnt show the refunds from different companies. I found out £ 240.00 wasn't in my account and all facts I sent relevant people in the Natwest investigation, they covered up.
5. Savings account I had never had interest.
They have a complaint department that justifies the staff stealing which explanation
doesn't have any logic.
I am very hard working and responsible person.
I am outspoken and direct.
Is there sombidy who hate the crime and lies can give me advise how to fight against dishonesty in the bank Narwest and open their real face?
There are many people who suffer from the Natwest staff indecency.
Still can't get into the portal
Still can't get into the portal. Keeps saying my info's wrong even though it's not. Took ages to get verified in the first place. Been using GIobaI Iandscape Utah for some months and I am satisfied with the progress so far.
Poor PORTAL
Thought I’d try again to login and see what my son’s trust fund value was. Amazingly managed to do it this time due to many wasted attempts over the year's. I’ve struggled since the trust fund got swapped over to NatWest and this terrible portal.
Heaven forbid me trying to invest more money into it. How many other people have failed to login in and not been able to invest?
Reading the other reviews I’m dreading trying to get his money out when he’s 18.
CTF….be prepared for a fight!
Honestly, what they are doing is CRIMINAL.
My son has just reached 18 and is due over £1000 from his CTF.
They will make you jump through hoops to stop you accessing this money as quickly as it should be.
My other son had his through a different provider and they were fantastic, actually paid ON his 18th.
We have been on the phone for over an hour this morning, clearing the utter shambles that we haven’t caused.
They will tell you the payment will be sent within a fortnight. I will bet my house you will then have a letter to say your child’s identity couldn’t be verified. Then you can’t use the portal again.
I am not letting this go, for my son and all the other young adults you are effectively screwing out of money that is lawfully theirs. I have escalated a complaint and I am also reporting you to the financial ombudsman. Too many people are complaining the same thing!
How DARE you withhold money that is NOTHING to do with you. I am so sick of sitting back and letting the fat cats of this country do what the hell they like because
they’re ‘untouchable’. Not this time! I’d rather cut my own hands off than deal with these disgusting charlatans.
EDIT.
My son has been paid. We raised a complaint and wouldn’t take their nonsense. They didn’t need the extra verification after all and paid within 48 hours. Funny that!
Bad experience
Bad experience , the platform is not clear and I was not able to check the real decrease of my investment. So I lost money . Very bad .
CTF online portal
Worst ever online portal I had to deal with - not clear - unable to use properly on phone, iPad or PC. Who build this portal??? Useless. Now lost £200 because they kept investigating CTF even though it said back in January when supplying child’s ID documents that amount shown is final…..? Terrible site and needs massive overhaul!
