I did the Yachtmaster Offshore. Excellent information on each topic. Divided up into each area of ocean sailing and then review questions to check that you have understood the topic. Timely and good reviews of one's understanding with explanations of where one has gone wrong. Overall an excellent experience. Highly recommended.

The course instructors are very knowledgeable and always ready to provide feedback. The course material includes written, audio and video demonstrations, and the course quizzes at the end of each segment makes self pacing and review viable.
A good tip is to try not to leave it too long after going through the course to do the exam!

I have just completed my marine radio licence with Navathome Australia. From start to finish, they were very friendly, helpful and organised the exam for me. The online radio course is very comprehensive and teaches you everything you need to know to successfully pass the radio exam. If you need to get your marine radio licence, then this is a great way to do it.

Navathome has a great study guide with practical and theoretical quizzes along the way. The VHF radio simulator is very clever.

Clear concise n covered a lot of ground in a short course.

I undertook the Day Skipper Theory and it was a great tool.

This Day Skipper Theory was my first on line learning experience and it was a very positive one. The course progresses in a logical manner with regular assessments along the way to ensure you’re on the right track ( or tack). A big plus is being able to access the course at your convenience but I would advise trying to complete the course within a set block of time so you don’t have to keep going back to refresh your knowledge. The final assessment is thorough so it’s worth taking the time to do some revision. The feedback during the course and following the final assessment is timely and detailed and so is extremely helpful. I felt the whole experience was very worthwhile and I feel a lot more confident heading now to the practical phase of the qualification.

Simple explanation of engine components with video backup. Feel comfortable knowing how to identify and service components (hopefully not at sea).

Navathome is great, you get the chance to comlete your Yachtmaster theory online. And you can extend it when you feel like you need more time. My mentor was great always there to help me with any problems or misunderstanding. I really can recommend it to anyone who is oversea and doesn't have a stable location.

The course is very well structured and you can take it at your own pace. The complex topics are well explained with step by step animations and the manner in which the quiz questions are answered helped me ensure I was using the correct techniques. I was particularly impressed with the final assessment response I received; very detailed feedback on my answers so I could understand where I went wrong and where my knowledge was lacking.

The administration aspects were very easy and all responses were prompt, ensuring I could take the course when and where I desired without having to attend a course in person - not something I could do easily with the line of work I am in and where I live.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and learnt a great deal from it. I would highly recommend this to anyone considering studying for their Day Skipper
