Great Courses, Poor Admin.

Netcom seem to be one of the better Course Providers in UK. Whilst the courses are second to none, the admin is quite poor & very laid back; even intrusive at times but I care not to share on that point.

Loved the courses & qualifications I have; my career has excelled only because of these certificates.

I would recommend with caution.

I had previously done an Infrastructure specialist course with Netcom, but this CompTIA Pentest+ course is a game changer and has changed everything for me regarding IT. It is a career-changing experience, and the tutor was an excellent teacher, providing support every step of the journey. I totally enjoyed the 24-week course as it felt like just 4 weeks. I am confident in taking on Pentest certification exams and certainly know my way around the CyberSecurity World. Thank you, Netcom, for simplifying this learning and building confidence in me.

I recently completed a 5-day Network+ course with Shahi from Netcom training. Shahi was very knowledgable and made the course engaging.

What really stood out was his interactive teaching style. He didn’t just stick to the slides; he brought the material to life using practical tools like Cisco Packet Tracer, which made complex networking concepts much easier to understand.

Thanks to Shahi, I now feel much more confident in my networking knowledge and well-prepared for the certification exam.

To be honest that, I have got better knowledge in cyber security + through this course work. And I have more interest to learn further in this field. Thank you so much for your guidance and support to build up my knowledge on it.

I must say I've learnt a lot so far, and I'm quite glad I signed up for this course when I did, as I was able to get 50% off the fees. We had a lot of support from the team, from the point of registration right down to the lectures. I would like to thank Kezia F. for her support during the registration, as she was of so much help. Also a big shout out to Shahi W. who was extremely wonderful with the way he delivered the course. I like to commend his patience, his constant follow-up and his effort in making sure we all understood the course, as he was more than just a lecturer but a father too. I'm glad that we were able to cover the whole topic within the limited time we had, and I can say with a bit more research and guidance I'll be more than ready for the exam. Once more, I'll like to thanks the whole team for this opportunity.

Overall, I had a great experience with Netcom, specifically with my tutor Shahi, he went through great lengths to during this course, and thoroughly explained each step of what he was doing, and great personalised examples with it. All lessons were recorded so I can go through it again at my own pace and revisit the topics I struggled in. I have a lot of respect for Shahi, he would even go out of his way to make sure we understood what we were doing, very professional and kind, with a good mix of humour to keep us going. Thank you Netcom, and thank you Shahi for making this a great experience for us.

Got an idea of what sec+ course was about. Resources would be accessible for some time.

So far, my experience with Netcom Training has been fantastic. However, if the course had been about another week (or even two weeks) longer, I would have been able to absorb the information I learned more thoroughly. Either way, I can watch the lessons afterwards.

Interesting course. Learned a lot on the Fundamentals of IT Support. Tutors were great and knew a lot about the topic.

There is an assessment at the end of each unit to refresh your knowledge and also Kahoot games at the start of each sessions.

The tutors were all incredibly friendly and helpful with answering questions and presenting the topics in an interesting and approachable manner. The format of the course is easily manageable and digestible, the course was truly time well spent.

Reached out for information on a classs, the return phone call came through the office from "Harry" I was with a client so the secretary took a message. About an hour later he was calling my personal cell phone. When I asked how he had gotten this information, he lied and said the secretary had given it to him. Completely unprofessional and creepy!

I did the Tech and Cloud essentials course, which rolled together the syllabus for the CompTIA certifications for Tech+, Cloud Essentials+, and Tech+ cores 1 and 2, over 12 weeks finishing on 29/05/2025.

I enjoyed the course thoroughly. It was taught 4 days a week Mon-Thurs, 3hrs per day 10am-1pm. We were well provisioned with support material, comprehensive PDF's of the booklets for each course, and copies of all the slides presented to us throughout. Each session was presented as a lecture over MS Teams, and each one was recorded, so could be watched back to go over tricky material, or in case part or whole of a session was missed. For each certification there was a wealth of supplemental online resources - online workshops, specimen questions, flashcards, Labs etc which reinforced the taught material.

The quality of the teaching was good - our tutor, Antwan, really shone when he was presenting material which reflected his own experience in the industry, of which he had plenty. Some of the material was quite dense and slide-heavy, and there were a few weeks during the Cloud course in which is was hard not to feel a bit overwhelmed. This was not a fault of the teaching, or the supplied material, so much as how much info needed to be put across in such a short amount of time. There was certainly enough supplemental material to make organising revision a breeze.

With about 6 hours of independent study per week i was able to sit and comfortably pass the certs for Tech+ and Cloud essentials+ a month before the end of the course. I have A+ core 1 booked for next week and feel confident about passing, and easily have sufficient notes from class and study material to be confident about booking A+ core 2 soon.

Netcom provide further support for 6 months after the course end, including revision workshops, one to one contact with an employment/job skills professional, CV/LinkedIn building support, and more. I have not used these services yet, but plan to when i have completed the academic portion of the course.

I would find it hard to criticise any part of the course, in terms of the teaching, resources, and support. The only thing I would have liked to see more of, was more engagement from some of the other participants on the course - with a tutorial group size of 20 or so, there were only ever eight or nine of the cohort who ever contributed regularly to the online classes and discussions, and at least four or five names who I never saw contribute even once. Quite hard to do over a 12 week course. Not Netcom's fault of course.

I would recommend Netcom as a training provider without hesitation, and would certainly use them again to gain further training in this field

Did the NetCom CompTIA training course led by Antwan and have to say it was spot on great teacher was always there to help us with everything from exams to revision couldn't have asked for more passed tech+ and feel confident going into the industry and doing the final exams and the help from admin and progression for all the access to materials would 100 percent recommend this to anyone who wants to learn and get into this industry.

My experience was truly exceptional, thanks to my amazing tutor, Mamie Anne-Patrick. She is an absolute star with a strong background in marketing, and it shows in her engaging, empathetic, and innovative teaching style. Mamie made learning an absolute joy and was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

I highly recommend this course to anyone seeking an introductory understanding and a solid foundation in the world of UI/UX design.
