The personnel in the studio were friendly and helpful, explaining everything one needed to know, making it easy to interact in the photography session. Although it was the first time, the guidance provided made it seamless and enjoyable. The pre and post guidance provided was very helpful, including the aftercare emails and calls from the studio.

HUGE RED FLAG!!!
New Idol Models is not a modelling agency, but a 'Support Service', or in my view and honest terms, a Portfolio Pusher, and an extremely expensive one at that. One that needs signing and paying for there and then.
The good reviews I've read all praise the photo shoot staff. I wouldn't disagree with that; they were very friendly. But this is just the starting point, when your head is full of dreams, and the reality hasn't set in yet.
Liam, my initial point of contact at NIM, has gone very quiet since my (successful) shoot, and has not returned my calls; not at all "supportive". I have, though, been contacted by Model Agencies that NIM are in cahoots with, Choice, Fusion, Buzz, and Models Direct. They couldn't get off the phone fast enough when I asked about any further fees though. That, in itself, I think, raises alarm bells and waves a HUGE RED FLAG.
These agencies, like all others, charge a commission on any work gained from them, understandably so. However, from my understanding, victims would also be paying commission to NIM for the referral, so essentially paying commission twice.
I've discovered that reputable agencies only require 2 or 3 good photos anyway (not even professional ones), so an expensive photo session isn't even needed.

We are a portfolio and support service designed to help individuals explore opportunities within the modelling and talent industry through professional photography, guidance, and optional introductions to independent agencies and platforms.
It is also worth noting that none of the concerns raised in your review were mentioned on the day, and our team understood that you were extremely happy with your experience at the time. We always encourage clients to speak with us directly if they have any questions or concerns so that we can assist.
There is no obligation for clients to purchase any services, and many people attend simply to experience a professional photoshoot and receive advice about the industry.
With regard to the agencies you mentioned, these are independent organisations that operate separately from New Idol Models. They set their own terms, fees, and commission structures, which we have no control over. Like most agencies within the industry, they typically work on a commission basis for any work they secure.
It is also true that some agencies accept simple snapshots or digital submissions; however, many individuals choose to invest in professional images so they can present themselves in the strongest possible way when approaching castings and opportunities.

What a day absolutely fantastic 😊
What a day I had. From the moment I was called by Steve to the actual day it's self I felt completely comfortable. Magda was brilliant did my makeup to suit me not over the top and did very little to my hair kept it simple and naturally. The photographer Mario knew I was new to this so him been relaxed made me relaxed so I could enjoy the experience which I did the time flew by. Rebecca went through the photos and options with me and I didn't feel pressured or rushed at all. As promised Sarah called me re aftercare and I already have meetings setup with 2 Agency's. I hope work comes from it so will update my review if it does. It will be a few weeks before I get my website and Z-Card so can't comment on them yet.

I was provided with advice on what to expect in addition on what not to do.

The atmosphere was lovely
The atmosphere was lovely. The photographer was very encouraging and made conversation to make me feel more at ease. It was very professional and the pictures tuned out great! The wait in between the photos being taken and the evaluation was slightly long, but it was a Saturday so I understand that it was busy! The woman evaluting my pictures was very kind and patient and very praising and well as giving constructive feedback.
