We do inform members when they sign up that the subscription is annual and members can also access their account and membership details at any time to cancel or set their subscription to non-renew to prevent future charges. However, we do understand your frustration and feedback, and we're hoping to introduce a renewal reminder feature in the near future.
In regards to our cancellation and refund policy, we do offer members a 6-month money-back guarantee for their first membership charge and then a 14-day grace period for all subsequent membership renewals. That way, in the event that a member renewed accidentally or decides not to continue after renewal, a refund request can be submitted to our team. Given our 14-day policy, we've reviewed your account and reached out to you with an update on your request and membership status. While we're sorry to hear our service did not live up to your expectations, we do understand that our service is not for every traveler, and we're continually working to improve and offer new features and options to support our members' dreams of travel.
To be clear, we do not sell our member's information. Ever. Our full Privacy Policy is available on our website and visitors may review the details of how, when, and why their information is collected there at any time. Your information is only ever shared with necessary parties, and it is never sold for profit. We are a 100%, member-supported company and that money is charged with member's full consent and knowledge.
As for the fact that you did not receive any deals while signed up, we do want to clarify that your account was created on Sunday, June 20th and canceled earlier today on June 23rd at your request. Most members generally receive their first deal within 3-4 days of signing up, but specifically, in the 3 days you were a member, we did not find any deals out of your airports which met our standards for the quality of a deal we'd share with our members. Because we take care to only send quality deals out to our members, the frequency of deals can vary from airport to airport and from week to week, which is why we offer members a full 30-days to experience our service, receive our deals, and decide if it's right for them.
If members do not cancel prior to the end of their free trial, they will be charged the $25 USD membership fee, as they agree to at signup. However, if members decide they wish to cancel after the free trial ends, they can still absolutely request their money-back for a full 6-months after being charged. This information is clearly displayed on our website at signup and included in our Terms of Service.
We're fully dedicated to finding our members the best deals on flights that offer the most savings to incredible destinations all over. Additionally, once we find those deals, we send our members directly to the airlines to book them, so our members can safely and securely finalize their booking with the airline in charge of their flight.
We're sorry we only had you as a member for such a short time you weren't able to fully experience our service or see the deals firsthand. If you have any other questions or concerns you'd like for us to address, please don't hesitate to contact our support team at help@nextvacay.com so we can help.

Edit: We take care to reply to all customer inquiries and feedback fully. These concerns were not brought up in the chat you had with our support team, so we had no opportunity to address them there. To clarify on necessary parties, we are referring to third-party sites such as Stripe, which we use to process members' subscription payments. Each of the parties and their purpose are listed completely in our Privacy Policy. As for personal information, we did previously mention your departure airport, as this is a general area used by members located both directly in the city and the surrounding area as well. That information was not meant to be used against you, and we have now removed it from our original reply.

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback with us, Fran. We're very sorry to hear your experience hasn't lived up to expectations so far. I can assure you we're not a scam. Due to the pandemic, we know a lot of our members were not able to take trips they had planned and dreamed of for 2020. Many airlines were forced to close down international routes due to lockdowns and travel restrictions in place at various destinations, so many of the deals sent over the past year were to domestic locales. However, our focus remained on finding amazing, quality deals to help our members save big on their travel.
Of course, many members signed up in 2020 not knowing the huge changes to travel that would come about. However, as always with our service, any member who was within 6 months of their first membership charge date was eligible to request a refund at any time within that 6 month period. This info is made clear before and after signup and clearly displayed in our Terms of Service. Along with that information, we do include that our subscription is annual as well, meaning it renews every year on the date of your first charge. This information is highlighted on our website, in the welcome emails we send to your inbox, and again, in our Terms of Service.
Members are able to cancel their subscription at any time before renewal if they don't wish to be charged for a second year, or turn off the auto-renewal feature. This can be done directly from your member account, and a link to your account is included in every deal email we send, or you can request assistance from our support team if you need help making any changes. We never received any complaints or requests for assistance, and your subscription was never canceled, so your membership remained active and renewed on its set renewal date.
Our records show that our deal alerts were delivered and consistently opened, both before and after your renewal took place. Because your request came after renewal and outside of the grace period offered, that made the membership charge in question ineligible for a refund. However, if there are extenuating circumstances you'd like to make us aware of or any information that was not included in your initial email, please contact our support team at help@nextvacay.com so we may assist you further. Thank you.
