I am currently doing the hairdressing course and I’m loving it, the videos are easy to follow, full of information and being online makes it so convenient. The assessment feedback is top tier and the staff are absolutely amazing and I’m shocked how fast I’m moving through the course. I have jumped from mining to hairdressing and my only regret is not doing it sooner

I have always been interested in hairdressing but thought I had missed my chance! Through NIB I now have the opportunity to learn the skills without having to quit my day job!

I love that I can complete this hairdressing course at my own pace. Between being a mum, working full time, and managing a busy family life, finding time to study can be really difficult.

I’ve been doing the course for over a year now and I’m still only halfway through, but having no set deadlines means there’s no pressure or stress. I can work through each module when I have the time, which keeps it enjoyable and allows me to take my time and do my best!

I began my hairdressing course while I was on a long overseas holiday, using my spare time away from home to finally learn a skill I had always wanted. The course took me around two years to nearly complete, as I balanced my studies with being a mother of three teenagers and managing freelance work in the film and media industry.
The course covers everything you need to know about hairdressing, from theory to practical skills, and the content is explained clearly and thoroughly. Communication with the college instructors has been excellent—always easy, supportive, and very prompt. The educational videos are well structured and easy to follow, while still allowing room to express your own creativity within the course guidelines if you are passionate about the craft.
I have only a few topics left to complete to be officially qualified, and I already feel confident working alongside other hairdressers in a salon environment. I’m really looking forward to finishing the course, taking on more clients, and officially beginning the next chapter of my hairdressing journey.

Do my beauty course through National Institute of Beauty has made the experience so easy! The theory components are very thorough and make doing the practical work a lot easier! Not to mention the flexibility of being able to do it in my own time. They always have great feedback when submitting assessments so I know how to improve and better my work for my clients. Definitely recommend!

This course was really easy to follow and the teachers were always helpful when I needed help. I did it in my spare time between work commitments and family.
The feedback from the teachers after each assessment was thorough and quick to assess so I didn’t have to wait too long to move to my next assessment.

Best course iv ever taken!

Everything was straight forward and super easy to learn. Juggling being a mum of 3 and studying was super easy because of how straight forward the course was.
You could complete this course in as little as 2 weeks! They give you so much information to help with all the knowledge you need to know before you start putting this towards a business or career ❤️

I am currently completing the hairdressing course- being able to fit this course in with my life, allowing me to study and have it work with my family commitments has been incredible.
The feedback in the work is fast and constructive. I would highly recommend especially if you are changing career and have family commitments.

Everything was extremely easy to navigate and I loved how you could complete all tasks at your own pace with no time limited to complete things. Only thing I would say is when submitting practicals I found it odd that after submitting one, and you go to do another one it says “redo assessment” rather than saying new client or something. When I first submitted my second client I wasn’t sure if it would get rid of the my first one and not submit it to yous. But other than that, everything was perfect.
