Thanks for your review.

You asked us to cancel your order, and we did so straight away, including issuing a refund. Depending on the card provider, refunds can take a few working days to appear.

The item wasn’t out of stock; instead, it was a pre-order product. On the product page, it is shown as a pre-order with an expected dispatch timeframe. After checkout, our system sends an automated email that lists the pre-ordered items.

We do allow cancellations within 24 hours of ordering. There is a 'Cancel order' button in the order confirmation email for convenience.

We are a premium brand, and when you order from Nightcity you receive the exact piece shown on our website, complete with our swing tags, neck labels, and custom mailer. On marketplaces such as Taobao or AliExpress the item that arrives can look very different from the listing and is usually hard to return. Our quality does not live in that family of sites, but you are welcome to compare and see for yourself.

I tried to match your name to our order records but could not find one. If you did place an order, please email support@nightcityclothing.com with your order number so we can help right away.

- How we handle every order:
Each Nightcity garment is cut to our own sizing patterns, produced in small batches with trusted factories, stored in our warehouse, inspected by hand, and shipped in branded packaging. We do not dropship, so the parcel always leaves from us. Every order comes with fast tracked delivery and a 28-day no-questions-asked return promise.

Occasionally a small designer atelier will ask us to sell its pieces on consignment. In simple terms, consignment means the atelier sends finished stock to our warehouse, we sell it on their behalf, and they are paid once the piece ships. The garment still passes through our quality checks and goes out in Nightcity packaging, so you get the same labels, tracking, and returns service.

- Why Taobao photos can look familiar:
Some Taobao sellers lift our images without permission, so their listings can look identical at first glance. Taobao shops cater to customers inside mainland China and usually do not ship internationally. Getting one of those items abroad means paying forwarding fees, courier charges, and import duties that often push the total cost above our own. Nightcity follows US, UK, and EU sizing standards, while most Taobao listings use Chinese sizes that run smaller, so the cut, fabric weight, and finish will not match even when the photo does. The only time you will see the same model shots elsewhere is when an atelier producing a limited capsule for us shares its photography.

Hi Bao,
Really sorry this happened, and thank you for being so patient throughout. You placed two orders on the same day to different addresses, and when we went to replace a missing shipment, we mistakenly based the replacement on the wrong order. That order had a different shipping address, which is how the replacement ended up going to the wrong place. We’ve refunded your full order and updated how we handle replacements in cases like this to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Regarding the quality concern, we asked you for photos and compared them to other units of the same style currently in stock. While we didn’t see the same issue on our end, even those few loose threads you highlighted should never have made it past our checks. You shouldn’t have received anything less than perfect. We’re tightening our inspection process to catch these kinds of details before anything ships.

We’re genuinely sorry this whole experience missed the mark. You deserved better, and your feedback has directly shaped how we move forward. Thanks again for helping us do better.
