Disgraceful service, unusable eshop. I’ve been robbed.
I have purchased my son a Switch 2 and tried to buy him a game online from the eshop. It wouldn’t accept my card but there was an option to ‘add funds’ to the eshop so I added £60 thinking I could buy the game with that…..NO! You can’t gift games online or transfer eshop funds to your child. In fact I can’t use my £60 without having a switch myself. This is frankly insane. What is worse is I raised a ticket with customer service requesting a refund and they gave totally ignored me. I chased them, but I’m still being ignored. It is beyond a joke and so stressful. As a disabled customer I have never found a website so difficult and irrational to use. I’ve wasted hundreds of pounds on a switch 2 for my son’s birthday and I can’t buy him the game he wants as my money is trapped in an eshop I can’t use. Nintendo is a disgrace.
Missing MicroSD Express memory card
I bought a MicroSD Express memory card and a Switch 2 Pro Controller and those were delivered on 5th June 2025. Unfortunately the memory card was missing and I have not had any word back from the company about what they can do. They were meant to get back to me in 48 hours but it has been over that excluding weekends. Not happy with the service and hopefully they will get back to me soon as I am out of pocket because of this.
EDIT: Speaking to support about getting a refund due to the missing item. I now have been granted a refund.
Defective Switch 2 Delivered on release…
Defective Switch 2 Delivered on release day from their store. Customer Service phone and chat have been “Unavailable” for days and they’re not responding to email requests (it’s the 9th now - still nothing). So Nintendo launched this console and shut their phone off - horrible service. They defo should have anticipated an influx of calls and increased their phone/chat agents. Any other retailer would have had a customer service rep available to deal with a simple exchange. Now stocks are sold out, can’t even buy a replacement elsewhere just left with a brick in a box, and a couple disappointed kiddos.
Tech support is sometimes reachable but they can only suggest to create a repair - crazy option for a brand new system. Not to mention the turn around time could take longer than restocks. Total headache, buy your products ANYWHERE other than direct from Nintendo, they’ll only let you down.
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever! I preordered the Nintendo switch 2 with a launch date of 05/06/2025. Never received confirmation of a delivery date. When I contacted customer service about this they said they will escalate with appropriate departments. It's been a week and they still can't tell me when I will receive it and will not refund either until this so called special department looks in to the matter. They don't care about customers expeirence at all. They should be investigated bu consumer protection.
I kept getting stuck on the crust
I kept getting stuck on the crust. This game is like fisting your uncle. Comfortable as first but then it gets weird. I don’t rate this game. You’re better off saving Africa. As it won’t happen. Gannets.

Used the same form again to request support for not receiving the email code.
Response from Nintendo support, could you please check your junk and spam folders and if you cant find it. Please contact us again.
THAT'S WHAT I AM CONTACTING YOU FOR!?
Support feels absolutely clueless.

Had a great experience with their repairs service. I sent off as the right analog stick would not press down. They fixed the problem and replaced other buttons that were yellowing and was sent back in the same week. Came back in a nice nintendo box everything was sealed like new and they added some zelda stickers which was a nice touch. Also to all giving bad reviews cos they have to buy multiple copies of a game to play with someone I mean what console do you not have to do this for? PS allows game share but if you both play at the same time it will not allow online play. Try getting a free downloadable like fortnite or rocket league I have hours of play with my kids absolutely free everyone happy.
Beware Take Your Money with no Intent of Refund
Beware, we ordered a virtual game from the Nintendo Switch Store via the homepage on the device. We purchased the Sega Sonic The Hedgehog game at £5.99 (luckily it was only a low cost) because the game didn't work, it wouldn't start and Nintendo claim that although you have 14 days right to Cancel you actually don't have rights to a refund. So if you are thinking of buying a virtual game, maybe don't, because you won't get a refund for your money if it doesn't work. Fraudulent BS. Nintendo's Sign in, Account Setup , Shop everything is so complex and complicated also. More headache than it might be worth. Avoid.
Extremely slow to reply on email

Worst support ive ever encountered if you can even call it support when you cant contact them.
New update is TRASH!
New update on my switch has eliminated any chance of me and my daughter playing online together. We have been sharing games for years and now we can’t. Playing animal crossing in particular was our favourite and now we can never join each we can only play separately. This is for all games we enjoyed playing, Minecraft, terraria, Stardew valley and animal crossing. We can never play online again. I can’t afford to pull out £40 odd pound for extra copies of multiple games. After spending an absolute fortune with Nintendo I swear they will not see another penny from me, I’m not even paying for online anymore. I wanted a switch 2 as well in the near future. There’s no chance I’m buying one.
i need the nintendo swich 2
Purchased a switch for a christmas…
Purchased a switch for a christmas present, both the controllers stopped working properly but we had the warranty so sent them back to Nintendo in good faith. Waited over a month for a response and then received a bill of £90 to fix - despite new controllers only costing £60. Contacted Nintendo directly who asked for copies of purchase receipt etc. Every single one I sent they came back saying they didn't have all the information, which was totally inaccurate. Received a call from Currys yesterday to say the console had been returned yet received an email from Nintendo this morning asking for further copies of the receipts - they clearly have absolutely no idea who is doing what or where anything is! Who knows what I will be collecting from Currys, whether it will be my device, whether it will have been fixed - as per the warranty - or whether it will be someone else's device entirely! All in all the warranty is not worth the paper it is written on and I will not be purchasing anything from Nintendo again! Disgraceful!

Not sure why they bother having customer service?

I recently had a frustrating experience with Nintendo’s customer service regarding their 12-month subscription and the auto-renewal process. Initially, I opted for the standard subscription without auto-renewal, as I didn’t want it at the time. A few days later, I received an offer for a discount on a game, which I planned to use. However, I soon discovered that the discount was only available to those who had chosen auto-renewal.
Since the offer stated that I could enable auto-renewal to qualify, I tried to do so—but finding this option online was a nightmare. After struggling to locate it, I reached out to Nintendo’s customer service for help. Instead of assisting me in enabling auto-renewal, they repeatedly told me I wasn’t entitled to the discount, completely ignoring my request for guidance on how to make myself eligible.
By the time I finally got a response, the discount period had expired. I submitted a complaint, explaining the situation, only to receive a dismissive reply essentially saying, “Sorry, the discount is gone,” followed by a statement that they would no longer respond to my emails.
This was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. Instead of providing actual support, Nintendo’s customer service was unhelpful, unresponsive, and unwilling to resolve what should have been a simple issue. I expected much better from a company of this size, and I hope they improve their approach to customer concerns in the future.
Customer Support is one of the best I've experienced
Got in contact with Nintendos European customer support team and I'm genuinely grateful, They got in contact quickly given the size of the company and the amount of emails they must get each day. Helped me with an account issue I have had for a while now, just wish I'd have reached out earlier.
Excellent service
Bought my grand daughter a Switch and a couple of months out of warranty had a problem, filled in a online form for repair was contacted same day and was told it would be collected by courier next day and they would have the label printed already, courier collect it, next day Nintendo contacted me to say work had started on the switch, next day repair was completed FREE of charge with extended warranty and it was with the courier for next day delivery. The courier let Nintendo down as they took 2 days
Very impressed with Nintendo cannot praise them enough
Terrible customer service, avoid.
Ordered a Switch Oled bundle with Mario Kart and a 12-month online membership and received a faulty Switch console which would not read any game cartridges. Sent back for replacement, which I received without the 12-month online membership (which is just a piece of paper with a redemption code on it). I contacted Nintendo to ask that they send me a code, but they insisted that I sent back the entire bundle including the console. Apparently they are incapable of sending or emailing the code separately. I returned the entire bundle a week ago and have heard nothing since. I have emailed them to chase it up and just get responses saying that they have escalated my query to the relevant department who will be in touch. I will now need to raise it as a credit card dispute. So disappointed in this experience, wish I had read the online reviews before ordering. Terrible customer service, avoid.
Absolute trash games
The Nintendo store is full of absolute trash!
All owners should read the page at switchscores.com on "Low quality filter".
I unwittingly bought one such poor quality game (namely "Football Stars: Head Ball Soccer Co-op Battle").
It was full of bugs that made it unplayable (eg disappearing sprites, unable to un-pause games).
And Nintendo say their motto is "to put smiles on the faces of everyone we touch".
But their real motto is "NO REFUNDS!"
Once you download the game, that's it. You will never see your money again.
(This is unlike other paltforms. eg Steam you can get a refund on any game you have played sub 2hrs).
Shame on you Nintendo for robbing from your loyal customers this way!
SEEING THE 1.4 RATING I HAD TO COME THROUGH FOR MY FIRST AND FRVR CONSOLE LOVE...
I had to memorize a whole bible chapter for my dad in order to get my first console when i did we went to the shop and i had to choose between PS4 and a Nintendo Switch, i picked switch, and i do not regret it, having a 1100 hours with Breatho of th Wild with my 2 sisters is irreplacable, considered that im from a country most of u do not know thats something. SEEING THE 1.4 RATING I HAD TO COME THROUGH FOR MY FIRST AND FRVR CONSOLE LOVE. And i recently found my Super Mario Odessey cars (my first game, 1700hrs)
NINTENDO STOLE / LOST MY ITEMS!!!
I have had the worst ever experience with Nintendo repair service team!
My Nintendo switch was newly bought, took really good care of it, but then LR buttons stopped working and I sent it off for repair- nearly new, in immaculate condition, in the original box, with the new Mario Odyssey game card (my son’s present).
The confirmed the receipt, repaired as they said, but then they sent the shipping number for it to be tracked and I got a box with someone’s t-shirt inside!!!!!
I reported that immediately
Complete nonsense happened with the customer service, they even mentioned that putting a game card in was my fault.
Were rude on the phone, ignored my messages, didn’t apologise, 1 month later after long arguments and me emailing them over and over they sent a replacement for my Nintendo switch - unsure if the condition of the replacement was as good.
And NEVER replaced a game card, claimed it was my fault to even have it there….
If you have a choice, don’t buy Nintendo!!!!
My childhood’s favourite game, I wanted to share my childhood memories playing Mario with my son, sad to have it gone so wrong!!!!!
Avoid avoid avoid!!!
