I just want to say a massive thank you…
I just want to say a massive thank you to the lovely lady I spoke with—Amanda. She was so helpful in every way. The way she reassured me, guided me through everything, and made sure I felt comfortable was truly a blessing. She didn’t make me feel rushed at all and took her time to check I was okay before moving forward. It honestly felt like I was talking to a friend. Amanda, you really are an angel. I really, really appreciate you. God bless you!
Scam Institute
Think 100 time before you take this course. I feel like they are scamming as they will show you all green before they will offer you admission and promise you job and support through out. But once you are in the course then it will be your responsibility to find the placement. All they will do is you tell you how to make the cv :D
Their 3xam criteria is so strict that only 2 out of 10 students will be eligible to sit in exam. You have no option to postpond the exam if you are not ready. If you postpond you will pay again for new exam and £720 for so call re-enrolment. Be carefull with them please.
Excellent support from SIA
I sincerely appreciate Sia's guidance during the process of completing my ROE. With a full-time job, finishing it within the deadline was quite challenging, but your prompt responses really helped make the process much smoother and more manageable. Thank you for your support Sia!

Totally Disappointed
I enrolled to NLDC for e learning on 12.06.2025, but on 24.06.2015, they changed the course and said that 70% attendance is mandatory and when I saw this I said that I cannot comply that and withdrew my registration and requested for refund of registration charge of £ 500/-, but up to now they are silent 😢.
I didn’t do any online class even. 😕
If they informed me about 70% attendance I won’t have enrolled…then my £ 500/- would be safe…This is cheating….😕 NEBDN wouldn’t have done the changes overnight….i heard that course providers knew the changes by last year….😏nldc forced me for registration by giving deadlines…
What can I do for this now? 😢😢😢😢😢 £ 500/- is a big money for me…..😢😢😢😢😢

My experience
I enrolled on this course in hopes that I would become a fully qualified dental nurse within a year. Speaking to the people from NLDC and reading the reviews I wanted to make a fully informed decision about what I was putting my money into. I would like to give everybody a realistic review because i don’t think I had that. A lot of information is hidden from those enrolling and the company do a good job of selling a dream to those looking to further their careers. If you feel dental nursing is for you it is worth it but maybe with a different company. I enrolled on the online course where you had access to all the course material and would be able to work through the content at your own pace. Included you are meant to get support with finding a work placement so that you can complete your record of experience, this is a compulsory element to being able to qualify.I planned to work full time as a dental nurse, and I liked the flexibility of the course. The course fees are as follows: £500 deposit, 3x £400 instalments and a fee of £560 to be paid within 3 months of enrolling which pays for the roe and exams. I knew that without being on a dental nursing course it would be extremely harder for me to find work as a trainee dental nurse, so even with my doubts I enrolled. I had some money saved and took out an additional loan of £1000 to help me afford the course. I was told that I would have access to their ‘dedicated careers team’ who will assist with my cv preparation, interview guidance and securing placement. I think within a couple of days of signing up I realised that I was not going to get much support from this company. Their support included providing links to job sites like indeed, monster and glassdoor so you could apply to the advertised posts. Additionally, you are sent a link for the cqc website and told to call up all the dental practices near you to ask for a dental nurse position. The only other support I received was a list of potential interview questions and example answers. I was very disheartened especially since the online course with support is £700 more than the one without. Determined to not waste my money I took their advice and called/emailed over 300 practices within the first week and of course I was unsuccessful. Now one month since enrolling, my first £400 instalment was taken and I really felt that I had wasted my money. Through my own application process I finally received an interview at a dental practice and was successful. This was such a relief. Only a few days later I found out that NLDC was discontinuing the online self taught course and transferring me to a tutor-led course with one weekly session. These lessons are not recorded, the slides are provided but 70% attendance is required in order to qualify. They were also asking for a fee of £190 to transfer me. This is not what i signed up for. The practice hired me on the basis that I could work full time which this would not let me do. I didn’t understand what could have changed within 2 months and why there was no foresight. If they knew that the course would be discontinued why would they enroll me. I was told that there was nothing I could do about the situation. Luckily my practice has been very accommodating and has not revoked my offer of employment. I will now explain how the nebdn exams work because I also could not find this information before enrolling. There are 2 exams which you must sit. An mcq knowledge test and a verbal discussion. Each take place only twice in one year. The mcq happens in April and November. The discussion happens in January and June. On the independent course I could work through the course and finish the content soon enough to sit both exams. Now that I have been transferred the earliest i can qualify is January 2027. Again not what I signed up for. Overall, I am happy that I have secured employment and I can begin my journey towards becoming a dental nurse. This is a lot of money that you are investing in yourself, and the company does take advantage of that. You are also not entitled to a refund after signing the contract. If you go on indeed/ glassdoor, NLDC advertises trainee dental nurse positions to make it seem like the job market is large but I don’t think that this is the reality.I know people who are 5 months into looking for employment and have fully paid for the course but without this they cannot qualify. A lot of these practices are looking for trainees with experience which overall isn’t fair and makes it hard to find placement. This is how my experience has gone and it may not necessarily happen to you. Nursing is an admirable, important professionThe content is interesting, and I know that as a dental nurse you can go on and do more. But I wanted to give you aspiring nurses a realistic view of how this company is working.
