Very pleased with our service and treatment. Staff very informative and friendly.
To expensive and will not allow patients time to get the money together especially when on benefits.

A properly working admin and appointments system would be a good start. My experience was seamless until you took over the practice.

I have been on an NHS ‘waiting list’ with Street Lane Dental Practice for over five years. They can’t even be bothered to verify that I am still on their list. They put an advertisement on Facebook Dec 2025 saying they were accepting NHS patients. This was a lie. The only way an NHS patient could get any treatment was to pay for emergency treatment or to pay private rates. The dental practice send me links to their private dental services. Why should I pay private when I have paid NI all my life? I also pay for NHS dental treatment. Now they want me to pay for private dental treatment as well. There was some talk about NI contributions across our lifetimes being used to provide a service. This isn’t a service. Labour are attempting to sort this ongoing con job out.

Felt at ease at all times and talked me through what was happening the whole time

Very rude and very unhelpful. Didn’t listen and gave me a crap choice of only 3 white filling colours that didn’t match my teeth colour at all. I was disgusted by the way she spoke to me. And my white filling has chipped on a front tooth and she refused to replace it on the nhs and I was told it would cost £260 !! And they had no OPG X-RAY machine so was told I would have to go to a hospital which is very inconvenient for me. Avoid this dental practice!

Registered as an NHS patient after an advert informing that NHS patients were being taken on. Arrived at the appointment and whilst everyone was very nice, it was made clear there was no NHS option and despite registering, there was no option for me to be taken on as an NHS patient. I questioned this and was told that there weren't spaces and perhaps there was an issue with the website. All of the forms, and the title of the appointment was an "NHS check up". It took about 10 minutes, cost £25 and was all in all, a waste of time. The staff did seem very nice but this is false advertising and essentially is a scam.
Initially I did consider going private with this company as the staff were so nice, but have decided against it- unethical practices and poor reviews. No thanks.

On 3/1/26 I registered with the Sheil Rd practice after seeing an advertisement stating they were taking NHS patients,
I completed the necessary paperwork and made my appointment. I received confirmation by email and text and completed further NHS registration forms.
6 weeks later I arrived at my scheduled appointment. Check in no problem. Go into the dentist to be told I couldn’t be seen as an NHS patient only private!
Terrible practice management!
I emailed my concerns but nobody bothered to respond.
Absolutely shocking customer service
I guess the con is to get you to register and hope that you will pay as a private patient.
Misleading and poor!
I saw the same advertisement several weeks after I registered too so I imagine others have experienced the same issue.

A formerly excellent NHS dental practice take over by Rodericks. Their aim is clearly to privatise it. Last time I went they said I needed root canal work but it was too difficult for the NHS dentist (Band 2: £75.30) so I needed to go private £750. That's a month's worth of my state pension. Got my checkup reminder, the website says "No NHS appointments available" (Band 1: £27.40 NHS for which last time I got less thatn 5 minutes of poking around then told I needed to see the hygenist for £75). Private appointments with the same dentist are available: £70.

I went for a filling back in October only to have the dentist damage my veneer on the front of the tooth. He then tried to wriggle out of it by saying that it might have already been like that when I came in, looked at my recent X-Rays and saw that it wasn't and applied some bonding to fix the damage. This fell of after a few days.
He then agreed to fix his mistake for free and drilled pretty much my whole tooth down to a point and told me that there would need to be a crown fitted. This was never discussed beforehand or explained.
That was back in November 2025. As it stands, the dentist has now cancelled 4 appointments and I have since had to pay to have the temporary tooth glued back in when it fell out during a meal out with friends, which was hugely embarrassing. It has also caused pain and inflammation to the gums above it as it has been in for far too long.
I have emailed Rodericks complaints email, the practice email and the so called practice manager and have had zero response whatsoever. This is an appalling way to treat patients.
