Worst customer service on earth
Stay well clear of any Strawberry hotel. They have the worst customer service you will ever experience and take any chance the can to get your money.
This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered
Had a terrible experience with the customer service (lack of) with Nordic Choice. We purchased a 3 night hotel stay before Covid and suddenly couldn't use it for 2 years, and received a voucher to use in the future. Recently we finally had the opportunity travel again and use it but when we went to book the trip the voucher had expired the week before. Upon calling and speaking to their customer service we were told they would not let us use the voucher, nor would they refund the money to us - even though we were by law not allowed to travel and use it the previous two years. Finally my discussion with the customer service representative ended with me asking to speak with someone else who was in charge of the rules and she assured me someone would call me back soon. Sure enough, no one called back after waiting a full week, I had to call them yet again to get the same answer - that NO they would just keep their customers' money without offering them anything whatsoever in return. Nordic Choice is a worthless hotel chain that I vow to never support ever again. To be avoided at all costs. If I could rate less than one star I would. Avoid.
Arrived this morning from US after 24 hours travel and though requested a room early they had nothing for me when I made it to the hotel. They had just given them out to a group with many bags. I know check-in is at 1500 but I have never been met with such a rude response from staff. Normally staff is always trying to find a room as soon as possible. Instead when I asked to get my bag in storage they just left me in the storage room with no tags for my bag and smacked the door in front of you. The only reason why I booked a hotel in the airport was to get fast to a bed. Don’t make the same mistake if travelling from far away as you will get upset with staff’s rudeness and lack of understanding of service. Room is not serviced unless requested, unbelievable!!
We spendt 2 nights at 2 different hotels from Nordic Choice. Both times the rooms were filthy, the breakfast minimal and bland. This has to be the worst hotel experience I've had and one of the more expensive aswell, compared to what we got. Dust, mold, cigarette stench and stains on the curtains and sheets. One of the rooms even had the curtains held up by tape.
Took them 3 weeks to answer an email.
Why just call then? their danish call center is in norway so it cost me 4 dkk pr. minute to call them.
They charge 400 dkk for reschedule of a booking ( around half the price of the booking) even tho the booking has to be changed due to Covid-19.
Absolut horrific customer service.
Be careful to become a member!
As a new member, you get a discount on the first booking, but if you're stupid enough to make use of the "welcome offer" it shows that you can not change your booking, not give the reservation to anybody else or get any money back if you need an unexpected change. It is therefore better if you are not a member, without the offer you can change your booking.
Had we not become a member and received a welcome discount, we could actually have rebooked for a supplement. But only if we hadn’t made the next big mistake, paid in advance. If you pay in advance, there is a rule saying that you can only rebook for 24 hours. As Nordic Choice already got their money they no longer care about the customer and if something happends to you you will not get anything or any help from them.
So, do you still want to stay with Nordic Choice? Do not make our mistakes:
1: Do not become a member as you will have bettet benefits if you are not
2: Don’t pay them until after when you're sure you've actually got something for your money
You feel fooled when you receive a sign-on bonus offer to book a room after signed up to their customer program....and find out the price for the room is exactly the same as not being a member.
