No Theory Club was created to change that. Our approach focuses on the practical skills that actually get people playing: chords, rhythm, smooth transitions, and real songs. Instead of memorizing theory, members follow structured learning paths that build confidence through simple progressions and familiar music. Inside the community, players work through guided song paths, step-by-step lessons, and practice systems designed to help them develop clean chord changes and consistent rhythm. The goal is simple: help everyday people play guitar fluently enough to enjoy it with friends, family, or around the campfire. No Theory Club was founded by Michael Rice, a guitarist and educator who believes the fastest way to fall in love with guitar is by playing songs early and often. If you want to learn how to play the guitar quickly and properly, the No Theory Club is the place to start! Michael explains things so well, is easy to understand and super helpful and engaged with his students ! I wish I would have found him sooner !

I struggled with chord changes since…
I struggled with chord changes since picking up an acoustic guitar a few years ago. It left me frustrated and feeling like I would never get there. Since I’ve joined the No Theory Club a few weeks ago, I am changing chords much easier now and am practicing while learning songs. It is a night and day difference since committing to getting better everyday through the lessons available there. Michael gives you the advantage to learning by making it easy and most importantly, FUN. I couldn’t be more excited to see where I am next week, month, year!
I highly recommend this Club.
