Our vehicle broke down at 6.30 on a Saturday evening, I tried for over 45 minutes to call Nova Direct and no one answered the phone ! I had no option to call a recovery breakdown myself at the cost of £140 as I never knew if they would answer the phone. I raised a complaint after the event but Nova had an excuse for everything even saying a female on their own on a Saturday night was irrelevant. I was also glad I had not broken down in a dangerous location. I wouldn’t recommend

Great Customer service received today from Nova Direct's Jayla. I was able to change correct my my payment details and telephone number to get my automatic yearly renewal working again. I had lost my paper work for my renewal of breakdown cover. I was concerned because it runs out in a few days.
I was in contact with Jayla who looked at my Policy. She informed me that it automatically renews which and explained everything to me.

I was looking for standalone windscreen insurance, as my motor policy didn't include it. I was really pleased when I found Nova Direct, which offered breakdown cover that allowed me to add windscreen insurance as an add-on. In the end, I decided to take their excess insurance as well. I'm really pleased with the value for money.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! Took out car breakdown to inclue European breakdown. Abided by all their rules e.g notify in advance when leaving the country and to where. Our car broke down in Belgium 28/12/25 and went into limp mode on a 70/80mph road and couldn’t get the car above 10 mph. The company wouldn’t accept full liability and the customer service advisor told us to limp it 10 mph on a 70/80mph motorway (very dangerous) the whole way from Belgium to North Yorkshire. Not only that the customer service advisor was so rude and could not care less. Please DO NOT be fooled with the annual breakdown prices. We were with Start Rescue before who are 100% better for near enough the same price. But sadly they couldn’t cover us as the car was over 10 years old. Now have a new car and back with them for breakdown, thank god!
Had to go on chat as my payment did not go through the 1st time, so Joshua stayed on chat whilst I re did the payment. Very helpful I must admit

This is my 3rd year with nova . Good prices and different levels of cover . Easy to select cover and sign up.
But saying that , there is a lot of negativity about this company , as I have not had the misfortune to have to use their services I can't comment on reliability .
