Great for joint pain but not improving skin
It’s hard to know how many stars to give this product. In my experience if it is to relieve joint pain, I would give it five stars, if it is to improve skin quality, texture, and firmness, I would probably give it two stars.
I purchased 3 months of Nutrition Geeks collagen powder. The ads were very compelling and the stories from buyers claiming the results they were getting made me think it was worth a try. Also the price in comparison to other brands is very reasonable. I’ve read lots about collagen and the benefits and as I’m getting older, mainly wanted to take collagen to improve my skin and this product claims to do that. I took it religiously every day for three months, but I did not see any results or improvements in my skin. I had read that you need to take it for quite some time to see the benefits so I bought another three months and took that every day. I have still not seen any benefits or improvements to my skin quality, plumpness, or texture. There are no improvements to fine lines and wrinkles. So I have decided to stop taking this every day.
However, I have noticed that the aching and pain in my joints, which I experienced from time to time has almost completely disappeared. This wasn’t something I purchased the product for and have only realised this benefit looking back. I will be continuing to take it every now and then for that benefit.
There are other brands out there that have a mix of bovine and marine collagen which claim to work better than just one type of collagen however, from further reading, it sounds like it takes a very, very long time to see any benefits in the skin if any and that it would have to be continually taken for any real benefit to appear. I have other friends who have taken this brand who also say the only benefit was joint pain reduction. That is a great thing when you have pain and worth buying if this is your main issue.
The other claim is that it is tasteless, in my opinion is not completely true. I think it probably depends on how you take it. I put mine in my coffee and I can definitely taste it. It’s a strange bitter acidic after taste to me.
This is my honest opinion and experience of this product. It may work better for someone else.

I have subscribed to Nutrition Geeks, and I receive my supplements every month without any issues. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because they don’t offer a combined vegan Vitamin D3 + K2 supplement. It doesn’t make sense to me that I have to buy this product from another brand when I would prefer to get everything from the same company.
